Description

[0001] The invention relates to a signal head mounting set for a signal device as well as a method for mounting a signal device, for public or private transportation and / or traffic. Furthermore, the invention relates to a signal device for public or private transportation and / or traffic.

[0002] In the public or private transportation and / or traffic it is an aim to reduce working at height and to increase the ease with which for example signal heads can be manually handled. Working at height from a ladder is potentially dangerous. Currently, to install a signal head, personnel are obliged to climb a high ladder while carrying the signal head and then to simultaneously position the signal head over fastening bolts previously installed in a signal pole or the like and then fit the securing nuts and washers. This is an inherently dangerous procedure, which is currently mitigated both by the employing a second installer to pass the signal head to the person atop the ladder, and by using a considerable amount of protective equipment.

[0003] There have been two significant attempts to reduce working at height while installing signal heads. One is the hydro hinged pole which is inherently expensive and requires a large footprint to be cleared before raising or lowering, as well as an expensive tool. And the other, GB 2 587 417 B, provides for slotted brackets which allow securing nuts and washers to be fitted to securing U-Bolts before the signal head is lifted into place. - It is an object of the invention to provide an improved signal head.

[0004] The object of the invention is achieved by means of a signal head mounting set for a signal device for public or private transportation and / or traffic, by a method for mounting a signal device for public or private transportation and / or traffic, and by means of a signal device for public or private transportation and / or traffic. - Advantageous developments, additional features and / or advantages of the invention can be found in the dependent claims and the following description.

[0005] The signal head mounting set according to the invention comprises a base fastening kit that can be fastened to an installation base, and a head fastening kit that can be fastened to a signal head, wherein the signal head is mountable via its head fastening kit to the base fastening kit fastened to the installation base, wherein a first head-bracket and a first base-bracket of the mounting set realise a mutual plug-in mounting, and a second head-bracket and a second base-bracket of the mounting set realise a mutual swing-in mounting.

[0006] I. e. the first head-bracket and the first base-bracket are formed in such a way that they realise a mutual plug-in assembly. For this, the first head-bracket can be pluggably mounted in the first base-bracket (cf. fig. 10, 11) or the first head-bracket can be pluggably mounted on the first base-bracket (cf. fig. 1, 3, 5). - And, the second head-bracket and the second base-bracket are formed in such a way that they realise a mutual swing-in assembly. For this, the second head-bracket can be mounted to the second base-bracket after a swing movement of the second head-bracket (cf. fig. 10, 12 and 2, 4, 5).

[0007] By means of the signal head mounting set a plug-in-and-swing-in mounting of the signal head to the installation base can be realised, wherein first the signal head with its first head-bracket is pluggable into / onto the first base-bracket of the installation base, and second the signal head with its second head-bracket is swingable in / at the second base-bracket of the installation base. In such a mounting state an azimuth angle of the signal head in relation to the installation base may now be set. Subsequently or alternatively the mounting of the signal head to the installation base can secured (secured final mounting position).

[0008] The mutual plug-in mounting of the first head-bracket to the first base-bracket may be realised by a pintle in one of the brackets and a pintle-opening in the other bracket, wherein the pintle is plugged in the pintle-opening or the pintle-opening is plugged on the pintle. The mutual swing-in mounting of the second head-bracket to the second base-bracket may be realised by a stud in one of the brackets and a stud-opening in the other bracket, wherein the stud is swung in the stud-opening or the stud-opening swung at the stud.

[0009] The two first brackets are mutually formed in such a way that in the plugged-in mounting state, apart from at least one rotational degree of freedom of movement, there is only a single translational degree of freedom of movement between them. The two second brackets are mutually formed in such a way that in the swung-in mounting state, apart from at least one translational degree of freedom of movement, there is only one or there are only two translational degrees of freedom of movement between them.

[0010] The brackets may generally be L-shaped, with a first leg in the form of a fixing portion and a second leg in the form of a mounting portion. I. e. the base-brackets comprise fixing portions with which they are fixable to the installation base, and mounting portions with which they are mountable with the head-brackets. And / or the head-brackets comprise fixing portions with which they are fixable to the signal head, and mounting portions with which they are mountable with the base-brackets.

[0011] The fixing portions of the base-brackets may serve for fixing them to the installation base, and the fixing portions of the head-brackets may serve for fixing them to the signal head. The mounting portions of the base-brackets and the mounting portions of the head-brackets may serve for a mutual fastening, wherein the signal head can be fastened to the installation base.

[0012] The first head-bracket may comprise the pintle and the first base-bracket may comprise the pintle-opening, or the first head-bracket may comprise the pintle-opening and the first base-bracket may comprise the pintle. The second head-bracket may comprise the stud and the second base-bracket may comprise the stud-opening, or the second head-bracket may comprise the stud-opening and the second base-bracket may comprise the stud. - The first base-bracket and the first head-bracket may form vertical upper brackets and the second base-bracket and the second head-bracket may form vertical lower brackets of the mounting set.

[0013] An azimuth adjustment mechanism of the signal head mounting set may be fitted to the second brackets preferably only. The azimuth adjustment mechanism comprises an azimuth adjustment device in which the stud or a device for the second head-bracket may be slidingly guided (vertical turning direction). The azimuth adjustment device may have the form of a partially circular sliding track or an essentially elongated straight hole (additional tilting adjustment device). The stud may reach the azimuth adjustment device via the stud-opening. The fixing device may be plugged through the azimuth adjustment device and screwed into the second head-bracket, for example in a fixing dome of the second head-bracket.

[0014] A rotational axis of the azimuth adjustment mechanism may be provided by the fixing devices or the stud and the stud-opening, as well as the pintle and the pintle-opening. When adjusting the azimuth angle of the signal head, the first head-bracket simply moves in / on the first base-bracket without these brackets having anything to do with the azimuth adjustment itself, apart from centring it. The azimuth adjustment can only be carried out in the area of the second brackets.

[0015] For a securing of the mounting of the signal-head to the installation base (secured final mounting position) the stud may be used, for which the stud may be designed as a threaded bolt or a headed screw, which can preferably be screwed into a fixing dome of the second head-bracket. Further, coaxial fixing devices of the second head-bracket and the second base-bracket may be securable by the stud and / or a supplementary fixing device. In this case, the fixing devices can be coaxial (final mounting position) holes in the brackets through which a screw can be inserted which, together with a nut, may fix the brackets to each other, for example.

[0016] Furthermore, a fixing device of the second base-bracket may be part of an azimuth and / or tilting adjustment device of the second head-bracket. The fixing device of the azimuth and / or tilting adjustment device may further be formed as a partially circular sliding track or an essentially elongated straight hole in which the stud of the second head-bracket may be slidingly guided. Here the stud of the second head-bracket may be designed as a screw, whereby a nut screwed onto the stud may fix the two brackets to each other. - An additional fixing screw and / or fixing dome can of course further be used.

[0017] In a / the mounting state of the signal device, the signal head may be further secured at the installation base by an anti-twist device especially of the pintle and the pintle-opening. For example, a portion and / or a segment of the pintle and a portion and / or a segment of the pintle-opening can constitute the anti-twist device. For this the pintle and / or the pintle-opening may comprise an anti-twist means which counteract a twisting of the pintle in the pintle-opening or vice versa in a / the mounting state of the signal device. The anti-twist means may form a form-fit and / or force-fit connection of the pintle and the pintle-opening, which counteracts a twisting of the pintle in the pintle-opening or vice versa.

[0018] A / the form-fit connection of the pintle in the pintle-opening may be formed by a mutual toothing or a form-fit engagement of the pintle and the pintle opening. Alternatively or additionally, a / the force-fit connection of the pintle in the pintle-opening is formable by a fit, in particular a transition fit, of the pintle at and / or in the pintle-opening. Such a fit may be realised by wedge or fillet in a transitional area of the pintle to its mounting portion.

[0019] Except for the pintle and the pintle-opening, the first brackets may comprise no further fixing device. Of course, this also applies to the signal head mounting set. In embodiments the pintle may widen from its preferably blunt free end towards its bound end at the second head-bracket. This makes it easier to insert the pintle into the pintle-opening or to mount the pintle-opening onto the pintle. - A method for mounting a signal device (cf. below) may be carried out with the above described signal head mounting set.

[0020] By the inventive method for mounting a signal device comprising a signal head and an installation base, the signal head is mounted to the installation base by means of a signal head mounting set allocated with its base-brackets at the installation base and allocated with its head-brackets at the signal head, wherein a first head-bracket of the signal head is plug-in mounted at a first base-bracket of the installation base, and a second head-bracket of the signal head is swing-in mounted at a second base-bracket of the installation base.

[0021] The plug-in mounting of the signal head may be started first and then the swing-in mounting of the signal head may be started. The swing-in mounting of the signal head may be started during or after the completion of the plug-in mounting of the signal head. During the plug-in mounting, the signal head may be tilted away from an area of the swing-in mounting of the signal head to the installation base.

[0022] During and / or after the plug-in mounting, the interlocking first brackets of the installation base and the signal head permit essentially only one translational degree of freedom for the mutual movement. These two interlocking first brackets may permit exactly or at least one rotational degree of freedom (possibly due to mechanical play). After the swing-in mounting, the interlocking second brackets of the installation base and the signal head permit essentially only one or only two rotational degrees of freedom for the mutual movement. These two interlocking second brackets may permit exactly or at least one translational degree of freedom (possibly due to mechanical play).

[0023] During the plug-in mounting, the signal head is essentially only moved in a vertical plug direction, and during the swing-in mounting, the signal head is essentially only moved in a horizontal swing direction. It is preferred that during the swing-in mounting the weight of the signal head is supported by the first base-bracket of the installation base. -Vertical downward movement of the signal head is preferred for plug-in mounting and / or swing-in mounting.

[0024] For the plug-in mounting of the signal head to the installation base, a pintle of one head-bracket is pluggably moved into a corresponding pintle-opening of the base-bracket, or a pintle-opening of one head-bracket is pluggably moved over a corresponding pintle of the other bracket. The pintle-opening may be a through hole or a slotted through hole. - A pintle of a vertical upper head-bracket may be pluggably moved into a pintle-opening of a vertical upper base-bracket (cf. fig. 10, 11), or a pintle-opening of a vertical upper head-bracket is pluggably moved over a pintle of a vertical upper base-bracket (cf. fig. 1, 3, 5). When the interlocking first brackets of the mounting base and the signal head reach their plug-in mounting position, the signal head is essentially in its final height position.

[0025] For the swing-in mounting of the signal head to the installation base a stud of one head-bracket is swingably moved into a corresponding stud-opening of the base-bracket, or a stud-opening of one head-bracket is swingably moved over a corresponding stud of the other bracket. - A stud of a vertical lower head-bracket is swingably moved into a stud-opening of a vertical lower base-bracket (cf. fig. 2, 3, 5, 10, 12), or a stud-opening of a vertical lower head-bracket is swingably moved over a stud of a vertical lower base-bracket. When the interlocking second brackets of the mounting base and the signal head reach their swing-in mounting position, the signal head may be essentially in its final tilt position.

[0026] An azimuth angle of the signal head relative to the installation base can be set by turning the signal head via its head-brackets relative to the base-brackets and of course also relative to the installation base. Preferably for a given tilt angle of the signal head, an azimuth angle of the signal head relative to the installation base is ensured by a partially circular sliding track or an essentially elongated straight hole (also tilting function) of the preferably lower base-bracket, in which the stud or a fixing device is slidingly guided (vertical turning direction). A tilt (elevation) angle of the signal head relative to the installation base may be set by tilting the signal head via at least one of its head-brackets relative to the respective base-bracket and of course also relative to the installation base.

[0027] A final mounting position of the signal head at the installation base can be secured by at least one fixing device and / or the stud-opening of the preferably lower base-bracket, and the stud of the preferably lower head-bracket and / or at least one supplementary fixing device. A tilt angle of the signal head relative to the installation base can be set by a position of the preferably lower base-bracket or by a fixing device of the preferably lower base-bracket comprising a fixing slot in tilting direction (essentially elongated straight hole).

[0028] Here, the interlocking first and second brackets of the mounting base and the signal head allow the signal head to be turned relative to the installation base.

[0029] As a mounting interface between the signal head and the installation base, the signal head mounting set may be configured as an inventive signal head mounting set. - The inventive signal device comprises a signal head and an installation base, wherein the signal head is mounted to the installation base by an inventive method for mounting a signal device, and / or a signal head mounting set of the signal device is configured as an inventive signal head mounting set.

[0030] The invention may be employed on any type of signal head, wherein it is advantageous if a lightweight signal head is employed. - The signal head mounting set and / or the method for mounting a signal device allows for example a traffic signal head to be installed and removed much more quickly than it presently can be using the prior art. The signal head can be of much simpler construction than it hitherto has been, because an azimuth adjustment mechanism is only fitted to the lower brackets, for example.

[0031] The absence of a fastener or the like at the top of the signal device, except for the pintle and the pintle-opening, means that a much shorter ladder can be used for installation and removal. The absence of a fastener at the top of the signal device means that all fixing devices can be tightened from the ground, using for example a simple extension tool (cf. fig. 9). An applicable 'special shape' of a fixing device means that an unauthorised adjustment is discouraged. A simple lower bracket can be fitted which allows tilting adjustment, and a single fastener can be used to secure the signal device.

[0032] The main advantages are: faster installation, single person installation, reduced working at height, reduced manual handling as smaller ladders can be used, lower cost signal heads possible due to simplified bracket system, potential for ground-based installation etc.

[0033] The invention is explained in detail below on the basis of exemplary embodiments with reference to the attached schematic drawings which are not to scale. Sections, elements, parts, units, components and / or diagrams which have an identical, univoke or analogous form and / or function are designated by the same reference signs in the description of the drawing (see below), the list of reference signs, the claims and in the figures in the drawing. A possible alternative which is not explained in the description of the invention (see above), is not illustrated in the drawings and / or is non-exhaustive, a static and / or kinematic reversal, a combination, etc. of the exemplary embodiments of the invention or of a component, a diagram, a unit, a part, an element or a section thereof, can moreover be found in the list of reference signs and / or the description of the drawing.

[0034] In the invention, a feature (section, element, part, unit, component, function, size, etc.) can take a positive form, i. e. be present, or can take a negative form, i. e. be absent. In this specification (description (description of the invention (see above), description of the drawing (see below)), list of reference signs, claims, drawing), a negative feature is not explicitly explained as a feature when according to the invention no importance is placed on whether it is absent. This means that the actual invention, and not an invention constructed according to the prior art, consists in omitting this feature.

[0035] A feature of this specification can be applied not only in a stated manner but also in a different manner (isolated, combined, replaced, added, made standalone, omitted, etc.). In particular, it is possible to replace, add or omit a feature in the claims and / or the description with the aid of a reference sign and a feature assigned thereto, and vice versa, in the description, the list of reference signs, the claims and / or the drawing. Furthermore, a feature in a patent claim can thereby be interpreted and / or specified in more detail.

[0036] The features of the description can (given the (initially mostly unknown) prior art) also be interpreted as optional features; i. e. each feature can be considered as an optional, arbitrary or preferred, i. e. non-binding, feature. It is thus possible to extract a feature, possibly including its periphery, from an exemplary embodiment, wherein this feature can then be transferred to a generalised inventive concept. The lack of a feature (negative feature) in an exemplary embodiment shows that the feature may be optional (according to a person skilled in the art) with regard to the invention. Moreover, a species term for a feature can also be read together with a generic term for the feature (possibly further hierarchical classification into subgenus etc.), whereby a generalisation of the feature is possible, e. g. considering equal effect and / or equivalence.

[0037] In the merely exemplary and schematic figures (fig.) of the drawing, fig. 1 to 9 show in perspective views a plurality of embodiments of a first variant of an inventive signal head mounting set for a signal device (fig. 1, 2), fig. 10 to 13 show also in perspective views an embodiment of a second variant of the inventive signal head mounting set for a signal device (fig 10), and fig. 14 and 15 an anti-twist device between a pintle and a pintle-opening of the inventive signal head mounting set, which is applicable to both variants.

[0038] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to exemplary embodiments of a traffic light 0 for public traffic, as well as a method for mounting a traffic light 0. Although the invention is described and illustrated in more detail by preferred embodiments, the invention is not limited by the disclosed exemplary embodiments and instead is of a more fundamental nature. Other variants can be derived therefrom and / or from the above (description of the invention) without going beyond the scope of protection of the invention. The invention can generally be applied to a signal device 0 for public or private transportation and / or traffic, for example. Only those physical portions of a subject of the invention are illustrated in the drawing which are necessary for understanding the invention.

[0039] The explanation of the invention with reference to the drawing refers below to a vertical direction vd (a selection of which is a vertical plug direction vpd of a signal head 2 of the signal device 0), a horizontal direction hd and a longitudinal direction Id of the signal device 0. The longitudinal direction Id corresponds, for example, to a direction of flowing traffic which is to be controlled or regulated by the signal device 0 and which, for example, flows to the side of or below an installed signal device 0.

[0040] The signal device 0 (fig. 1, 2, 10) comprises a (traffic) signal head 2, for example in the form of a light (shown), form, pointing, indicating etc. signal head 2, mounted at, on, in etc. an installation base 1, for example in the form of a signal pole 1 (shown), a mounting area 1 etc. The signal head 2 is mountable or mounted to the installation base 1 by a signal head mounting set 10, 20 comprising a base fastening kit 10 (mounting kit of the installation base 1) and a head fastening kit 20 (mounting kit of the signal head 2). Each fastening kit 10, 20 comprises two brackets 11, 12; 21, 22 with which the signal head 2 is mountable or mounted to the installation base 1.

[0041] Two brackets 11, 12; 21, 22 each can be fixed or are fixed to the signal head 2 and to the installation base 1, wherein the two brackets 21, 22 of the signal head 2 are mountable or mounted to the two brackets 11, 12 of the installation base 1. Each set of brackets 11, 12; 21, 22 comprises a first bracket 11, 21, especially a vertical vd upper / lower bracket 11, 21, and a second bracket 12, 22, especially a vertical vd lower / upper bracket 12, 22.- The brackets 11, 12; 21, 22 can be arranged depending on an installation environment, an installation position and a shape of the signal head 2. However, a vertical arrangement of the respective fastening kits 10, 20 is preferred because this favour the mounting movements of the signal head 2 (see below).

[0042] The first base-bracket 11 comprises preferably a fixing portion 115 with which it is fixable to the installation base 1, and preferably a mounting portion 116 with which it is mountable with the first head-bracket 21. The second base-bracket 12 comprises preferably a fixing portion 125 with which it is fixable to the installation base 1, and preferably a mounting portion 126 with which it is mountable with the second head-bracket 22. - The first head-bracket 21 comprises preferably a fixing portion 215 with which it is fixable to the signal head 2, and preferably a mounting portion 216 with which it is mountable with the first base-bracket 21. The second head-bracket 22 comprises preferably a fixing portion 225 with which it is fixable to the signal head 2, and preferably a mounting portion 226 with which it is mountable with the second base-bracket 22.

[0043] The illustrated brackets 11, 12; 21, 22 may be generally L-shaped, with a fixing portion 115, 125; 215, 225 forming a first leg and a mounting portion 116, 126; 216, 226 forming a second leg of the respective L-shaped bracket 11, 12; 21, 22. And for mounting of a bracket 11, 12; 21, 22, especially a base-bracket 11, 12, to the installation base 1, preferably a signal pole 1, an adapter 15 may be used. The adapter 15 can be used, for example, to adapt a curved surface (installation base 1) to a flat surface (fixing portion 115, 125; 215, 225), or vice versa.

[0044] In the following the first head-bracket 21 may be designed as a vertical vd upper pintle bracket 21 (fig. 11) or a vertical vd upper pintle-opening bracket 21 (fig. 3, 5), and the first base-bracket 11 may be designed as a vertical vd upper pintle-opening bracket 11 (fig. 11) or a vertical vd upper pintle bracket 11 (fig. 3, 5). - The second head-bracket 22 may be designed as a vertical vd lower stud bracket 22 (fig. 4, 6; 12, 13) or a vertical vd lower adjustment bracket 12 (not shown), and the second base-bracket 12 is designed as a vertical vd lower adjustment bracket 12 (fig. 4, 6; 12, 13) or a vertical vd lower stud bracket 22 (not shown).

[0045] By the brackets 11, 12; 21, 22 a plug-in-and-swing-in mounting (fig. 1 => fig. 2; fig. 3, 11: vertical plug direction vpd => fig. 6, 8, 12: horizontal swing direction hsd) of the signal head 2 to the installation base 1 is realised, whereby a plug-in mounting is carried out first and then may be immediately followed by a swing-in mounting. So, the head-bracket 21 of the signal head 2 is plugged into / onto the first base-bracket 11 of the installation base 1. And then the second head-bracket 22 of the signal head 2 is swung in / at the second base-bracket 12 of the installation base 1. - The mounting set 10, 20 thus realises on the one hand a reciprocal plug-in mounting and on the other hand a reciprocal swing-in mounting of the signal head 2 to the mounting base 1.

[0046] For the purpose of the plug-in mounting, a mounting portion 116 / 216 of one the first brackets 11 / 21 comprises a pintle 310 which is directed in the vertical direction vd in a conventional final mounting position of the signal head 2 to the installation base 1. And the other bracket 21 / 11 comprises in its mounting portion 216 / 116 a pintle-opening 320 which lies in the horizontal plane hd-ld in the conventional final mounting position of the signal device 0. During the mutual plug-in mounting the pintle 310 is plugged in the pintle-opening 320 (fig. 10 (above), 11) or the pintle-opening 320 is plugged on the pintle 310 (fig. 1, 3, 5).

[0047] During a first step of mounting the signal head 2 at the installation base 1, the insertion of the pintle 310 into the pintle-opening 320 or the fitting of the pintle-opening 320 onto the pintle 310 initially serves for mutual centring, then for mutual guidance, as well as for providing a simply designed swing joint for the now essentially directly following swing-in mounting in the horizontal swing direction hsd of the signal head 2. After completing the plug-in mounting the signal head 2 is essentially in its final height position in the signal device 0.

[0048] For the purpose of the swing-in mounting, a mounting portion 226 / 126 of one the second brackets 12 / 22 comprises a stud 410 which is preferably directed in the vertical direction vd in the conventional final mounting position of the signal head 2 to the installation base 1. And the other bracket 22 / 12 comprises in its mounting portion 126 / 226 a stud-opening 421 which lies in the horizontal plane hd-ld in the conventional final mounting position of the signal device 0. During the mutual swing-in mounting the stud 310 is swung into the stud-opening 421 (fig. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 (below), 12) or the stud-opening 421 is swung onto / at the stud 410 (not shown).

[0049] During a second step of mounting the signal head 2 at the installation base 1, the swinging of the stud 410 into the stud-opening 421 or the swinging of the stud-opening 421 onto / at the stud 410 initially serves for mutual centring, then for mutual guidance, as well as for providing a simply designed swing joint for a following azimuth adjustment of the signal head 2 relative to the installation base 1 (cf. fig. 7, 13: vertical turning direction vtd of the signal head 2). - The stud-opening 421 is preferably located at the edge in the preferably flat, e. g. plate-shaped mounting portion 226. Here, the stud-opening 421 may be designed as a slot 420 preferably in longitudinal direction Id (horizontal swing direction hsd).

[0050] The second brackets 12 / 22 may comprise a tilting adjustment device 424, for example essentially in the form of an elongated straight hole 424. The tilting adjustment device 424 enables an angle of tilt of the signal head 2 relative to the installation base 1 to be set. For this purpose, the elongated straight hole 424 can have a plurality of fixing devices 435 staggered in longitudinal direction Id, e. g. as fixing recesses 435, in which the stud 410 can be received and fixed therein. Here, the stud-opening 421 leads into the elongated straight hole 424 or the fixing recesses 435, respectively.

[0051] Furthermore, the second brackets 12, 22 may comprise an azimuth adjustment mechanism 422; 410, 455, wherein one of the second brackets 12( / 22) comprises an azimuth adjustment device 422, for example essentially in the form of a partially circular sliding track 422 (fig. 4, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13), and the other second bracket 22( / 12) (fig. 12, 13) therefore comprises the stud 410 (fig. 4, 6, 7, 8) and / or a supplementary device 455, especially a supplementary fixing device 455 (fig. 13). A rotational axis for example in the vertical direction vd of the azimuth adjustment mechanism 422; 410, 455 is provided on the one hand by the pintle 310 and the pintle-opening 320. And on the other hand, the rotational axis may be constituted by fixing devices 435, 445 (fig. 4, 6, 7, see below) or the stud 410 and the stud-opening 421 (fig. 12, 13).

[0052] In one embodiment (fig. 4, 6, 7) the stud-opening 421 may lead into the sliding track 422 so that the stud 410 may be slidingly guided into the sliding track 422. In another embodiment (fig. 12, 13) the sliding track 422 may be fully closed and the supplementary device 455 can be inserted through the sliding track 422 into the other second bracket 22( / 12) for which it may have a fixing dome 445 or a fixing hole. In such a case, the stud-opening 421 does not lead into the sliding track 422.

[0053] The first brackets 11, 21 realise in particular in the final mounting position (before securing the mounting position, cf. below) of the signal head 2 at the installation base 1 present: a (simple) swing joint preferably due to play, preferably around the horizontal direction hd; a (simple) rotary or swing joint preferably around the longitudinal direction Id; apart from a play, a rotational fixed bearing preferably around the longitudinal direction Id; a fixed bearing for two translational degrees of freedom preferably in the horizontal plane hd-ld; in the remaining translational degree of freedom, in particular in vertical direction vd, preferably a fixed bearing in one direction (vertical plug direction vpd) and not in the other, and / or a mutual centring, preferably with respect to the vertical direction vd. - These specifications are only exemplary and can be realised in other arrangements of first brackets for signal devices 0 only partially and additionally if necessary with other mutual movement options.

[0054] The second brackets 12, 22 realise in particular in the final mounting position (before securing the mounting position, cf. below) of the signal head 2 at the installation base 1 present: a (simple) swing joint preferably around the vertical direction vd; apart from a play, a rotational fixed bearing preferably around the horizontal direction hd and the longitudinal direction Id; a fixed bearing for one or two translational degrees of freedom preferably in the horizontal plane hd-ld; a fixed bearing in at least one or both remaining, preferably vertical vd directions of movement, and / or a mutual centring, preferably with respect to the vertical direction vd. - These specifications are again only exemplary and can be realised in other arrangements of first brackets for signal devices 0 only partially and additionally if necessary with other mutual movement options.

[0055] A securing of the mounting position of the signal head 2 at the installation base 1 may be realised by coaxial fixing devices 435, 445 in the second brackets 12, 22 (fig. 4, 6, 7) and / or by a fixing device 435 of the tilting adjustment device 424 and the stud 410 as a fixing device 410 (fig. 8). Furthermore, a securing of the mounting position may be realised by the azimuth adjustment device 422 as a fixing device 422 (fig. 8, 9, 12, 13) and / or the stud-opening 421 as a fixing device 421 (fig. 12, 13), and the stud 410 as a fixing device 410 (fig. 9, 12, 13) and / or another fixing device 455 (fig. 12, 13). Moreover, the pintle 310 may be designed as a fixing device (not shown).

[0056] The signal head mounting set 10, 20 may comprise an anti-twist device (for example see below reference sign 335) which hinders, reduces or prevents twisting or torsion of the signal head 2 relative to the installation base 1 in the mounting state of the signal head 2 at the installation base 1. The anti-twist device can be installed between at least two mounting portions 116, 126; 216, 226 of at least two corresponding brackets 11, 12; 21, 22. The anti-twist device hinders, reduces or prevents a rotational movement of corresponding mounting portions 116, 126; 216, 226.

[0057] Fig. 14 and 15 show two embodiments of such an anti-twist device 335 between the pintle 310 (exemplary mounting portion 216) and the pintle-opening 320 (exemplary mounting portion 116). The anti-twist device 335 counteracts a twisting or torsion of the pintle 310 in the pintle-opening 320 in the mounting state of the signal device 0. For counteracting the twisting of the pintle 310 in the pintle-opening 320 or the pintle-opening 320 around the pintle 310, the pintle 310 and / or the pintle-opening comprise anti-twist means 315, 325 as the anti-twist device 335. Here, in the mounting state of the signal head 2 at the installation base 1, between the pintle 310 and the pintle-opening 320 a form-fit connection and / or a force-fit connection as anti-twist device 335 via the anti-twist means 315, 325 is preferred.

[0058] Such an arrangement has the effect of transferring torsional loads to the mounting portion 116 and reduces a tendency to fret. - For example, cf. fig. 14, torsion in or a (remaining) possibility for twisting of the signal head 2 may be reduced by an arrangement in which the pintle 310 is provided with at least one or a series of teeth, i. e for example a toothing 316, and the pintle-opening 320 is provided with at least one or a series of matching indentations, i. e for example a toothing 326. Further, for example, cf. fig. 15, torsion in or a (remaining) possibility for twisting of the signal head 2 may be reduced by an arrangement in which the pintle 310 is provided with a wedge 317 or fillet 317 in a transitional area to its mounting portion 216.

[0059] To adjust the azimuth angle of the signal head 2, the signal head 2 is for example lifted slightly so that the anti-twist means 315 of the signal head 2 is clear of the anti-twist means 325 of the mounting portion 116, wherein the signal head 2 is then turned to the required azimuth angle. The signal head 2 is then lowered so that the anti-twist means 315 of the signal head 2 engages, grips etc. again on / in the anti-twist means 325 of the mounting portion 316.

[0060] In fig. 14 during lowering the signal head 2 the teeth of the toothing 316 mesh with the indentations of the toothing 326. In fig. 15 after lowering the signal head 2 bracket fastenings of the installation base 1 are tensioned so that the wedge 317 or fillet 317 is pulled into the pintle-opening 320. - Now a torsional load of the signal head 2 can be transferred to the installation base 1 mechanically via the anti-twist means 315, 325, i. e. the anti-twist device 335.

[0061] It is apparent that other variations of such an anti-twist means 315, 325 are possible. In general, a form-fit connection and / or a force-fit (friction-fit) connection can be set up here. Further, the pintle 310 may have a shoulder that engages into a recess in the pintle-opening 320, or vice versa. Moreover, the idea of a shaft-hub connection (splined shaft etc.) can be transferred to a connection between the pintle 310 and the pintle-opening 320. And of course, a material-locking connection, such as a welded, soldered or glued connection, can also be used, if necessary additionally.

[0062] Moreover, the pintle 310 may comprise, beside at least one other portion, a threading portion 312 and a centring portion 314. The threading portion 312 may form a free longitudinal end portion of the pintle 310, wherein the centring portion 314 is directly or indirectly connected to the threading portion 312 preferably coaxially. The threading portion 312 may be formed conical and / or the centring portion 314 may be formed cylindrical. Other forms are of course applicable.

[0063] As the names of the portions 312, 314 indicate, the threading portion 312 serves to thread the pintle 310 into the pintle-opening 320, and the centring portion 314 serves to centre the pintle 310 in the pintle-opening 320. In particular, the centring portion 314 has the anti-twist means 315 preferably adjacent to its mounting portion 116, 216, or the anti-twist means 315 adjoins the centring portion 314 apart from the threading portion 312, wherein the centring portion 314 lies adjacent to the anti-twist means 315.List of reference signs
