Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a beach parasol (or a sunshade or umbrella considered as synonyms). In particular, the invention relates to a parasol incorporating one or more storage pockets.
[0002] This pocket can hold keys, cigarettes, a lighter, a bottle of cosmetics such as sun shade, a wallet, a mobile phone, etc. or any other object that risks getting lost in the sand or getting stuck in the sand.
[0003] The prior art has proposed parasols with a lining over an entire radial canvas section, and a zipper at a peripheral edge of the canvas section.
[0004] This type of parasol is not satisfactory because it requires a large amount of canvas for a pocket. Furthermore, it puts significant stress on the canvas and can lead to premature tearing of the canvas during use.
[0005] An objective of the present invention is to remedy the defects of the prior art, and in particular to propose a solution for limiting the quantity of canvas used, as well as the forces applied to the canvas.

[0008] According to one aspect, the opening is closable. Preferably, the opening is equipped with a zipper. Preferably, the opening is equipped with closing buttons or a hook-and-loop closure system. Preferably, the pocket hangs inside the open parasol. Preferably, the pocket is removably attached to the parasol canvas. Claims
1. Parasol comprising a canvas covering a frame which comprises angularly spaced arms (A) delimiting different radial canvas sections (S), the parasol comprising a storage pocket (P) which comprises an opening (O), characterized in that the opening (O) of the pocket is arranged along a frame arm (A) between two radial sections of canvas (S).
2. Parasol according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the opening (O) is closable.
3. Parasol according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the opening (O) is equipped with a zipper (F).
4. Parasol according to one of claims 2 to 3, characterized in that the opening is equipped with closing buttons or a hook-and-loop closure system.
5. Parasol according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pocket (P) hangs inside the open parasol.
6. Parasol according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pocket (P) is removably attached to the parasol canvas.
7. Parasol according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the pocket (P) represents an area less than 50%, preferably less than 25% of a radial canvas section (S).
8. Parasol according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the opening (O) is provided in a fold masking the radial canvas sections (S).
