[0003] Various doors, particularly steel doors, are known from references [1] and [2]. Many doors, especially soundproof doors and smoke-protection doors with smoke protection function (see [1] to [3] for definition), often have retractable floor seals designed to seal a gap between the floor and the door leaf when closed.
[0004] The invention aims to provide improved options for sealing the floor gap under different conditions.
[0005] To achieve this object, the invention provides a kit of parts according to claim 1. A door leaf constructed therewith, a door provided therewith, uses and methods using parts of the kit of parts as well as an adapter strip for such a kit of parts are the subject of the further independent claims.
[0006] Advantageous embodiments are the subject of the subclaims.
[0007] The invention provides, according to one aspect thereof, a kit of parts comprising a door leaf-side retaining profile for positively holding a floor seal on a door leaf, a floor seal with a seal-side retaining profile for positively engaging in the door leaf-side retaining profile, and at least one adapter strip for interposing between the door leaf-side retaining profile and the floor seal, wherein the at least one adapter strip has a first retaining profile contour on an upper side during intended use, which corresponds to the contour of the seal-side retaining profile, and has a second retaining profile contour on a lower side during intended use, which corresponds to the contour of the door leaf-side retaining profile.
[0008] In some embodiments, the kit includes a set of multiple adapter strips of the same or different height between the first and second support profiles.
[0009] In some embodiments, the at least one adapter strip has a length corresponding to the length of the door leaf-side and / or seal-side retaining profile. In some embodiments, the at least one adapter strip has a width corresponding to the width of the door leaf-side and / or seal-side retaining profile. The adapter strip can be formed, for example, as a solid body, for example, as an extruded profile or as a continuous casting. Suitable materials are metal, light metal, aluminum, aluminum alloy, and plastic.
[0010] In some embodiments, the door leaf-side retaining profile and the seal-side retaining profile have a complementary contour. In some embodiments, the contours are complementary in such a way that the floor seal, with its retaining profile, can be inserted into the door leaf-side retaining profile with a positive fit.
[0011] In some embodiments, the upper (first) retaining profile contour in use is adapted to the contour of the floor seal (in particular the seal-side retaining profile), so that the insertion process of the adapter, in particular designed as a strip, onto the door leaf-side retaining profile is known and identical to the insertion process of the floor seal onto the door leaf-side retaining profile.
[0012] In some embodiments, the lower (second) retaining profile contour in use is adapted to the contour of the door leaf-side retaining profile so that the insertion process of the floor seal onto the adapter, which is designed in particular as a strip, is known and identical to the insertion process of the floor seal onto the door leaf-side retaining profile.
[0013] In some embodiments, one of the door leaf-side and seal-side retaining profiles has at least one projection with an undercut, and the other has at least one recess arranged complementary to the projection. In some embodiments, the retaining profile contours of the at least one adapter strip are designed with the same projection and recess configuration as the retaining profiles.
[0014] In some embodiments, the floor seal is a lowerable floor seal with a fastening strip provided with the seal-side retaining profile for fastening to the door leaf, a sealing strip that is vertically movable relative to the fastening strip during intended use, and a movement mechanism for lowering and raising the sealing strip relative to the fastening strip.
[0015] In some embodiments, the at least one adapter strip has a fixing screw receptacle for receiving a fixing screw on at least one of the sides formed with a retaining profile contour. The fixing screw receptacle is formed, for example, as a preferably continuous groove or notch in an upper side and / or a lower side, preferably between projections or recesses of the retaining contour.
[0016] In some embodiments, the parts set is a door leaf parts set with a door leaf which, in its intended use, has a seal receptacle for receiving the floor seal, wherein the seal receptacle has the door leaf-side retaining profile for holding the floor seal in a form-fitting manner.
[0017] In some embodiments, the door leaf-side retaining profile is formed on a retaining strip which is fastened to a door leaf body in the region of the seal receptacle.
[0018] In some designs, the door leaf-side retaining profile is attached to a profile formation of the door leaf body with blind rivets.
[0019] According to a further aspect, the invention provides a door leaf for a swing door, formed with a door leaf part set according to one of the preceding embodiments.
[0020] In some embodiments of the door leaf, it is provided that the at least one adapter strip is positively fastened between the door leaf-side retaining profile and the seal-side retaining profile.
[0021] In some embodiments of the door leaf, it is provided that several adapter strips, which are fastened to one another with complementary retaining profile contours, are inserted between the door leaf-side retaining profile and the seal-side retaining profile.
[0022] According to a further aspect, the invention provides a smoke protection door comprising a door leaf or a set of parts according to one of the preceding embodiments and a frame.
[0023] According to a further aspect, the invention provides a use of one or more adapter strips as an intermediate layer between a door leaf and a floor seal in order to adapt the height of the floor seal to the height of the floor at the installation location.
[0024] It is preferred that the door leaf has a seal receptacle on its lower side during normal use for receiving the floor seal, wherein the seal receptacle has a retaining profile on the door leaf side for positively holding the floor seal; that the floor seal is provided with a seal-side retaining profile which is designed for positive engagement with the door leaf-side retaining profile, and that the at least one adapter strip has a first retaining profile contour on an upper side during intended use, which corresponds to the contour of the seal-side retaining profile, and has a second retaining profile contour on a lower side during intended use, which corresponds to the contour of the door leaf-side retaining profile.
[0025] According to a further aspect, the invention provides a method for adapting a lowerable floor seal of a smoke protection door to a height of a floor at the installation site, comprising: Opening the door so that a seal receptacle for the lowerable floor seal is accessible on a narrow end face of the door leaf; and interposing at least one adapter strip, which is provided on opposite sides with retaining profile contours complementary to a door leaf-side retaining profile and a seal-side retaining profile, between the floor seal and the door leaf-side retaining profile.
[0026] According to a further aspect, the invention provides an adapter strip or a set of adapter strips, adapted for use in a kit of parts, a door leaf, a smoke protection door or a method according to one of the preceding embodiments or adapted for use as set out above.
[0027] Often, tolerances regarding the gap between the door leaf (or floor seal) and the floor are exceeded on site.
[0028] To avoid having to replace the entire door leaf if these tolerances are exceeded, preferred embodiments of the invention provide a way to individually increase these tolerances. Specifically, this involves an adapter that is installed between the door leaf and the floor seal to subsequently reduce the gap.
[0029] The adapter is preferably strip-shaped. The adapter can be designed as a continuous cast aluminum part.
[0030] To secure the adapter, a self-tapping screw can be inserted from the narrow end of the door leaf. The adapter and seal can be installed without removing the door leaf. For example, a notch or other recess is provided on one side of the adapter facing the door leaf to accommodate the screw.
[0031] Adapters of different heights can be provided. For example, one adapter has a height of 4 to 16 mm. A set of adapters of different heights can be provided. By combining several adapters, greater heights can be achieved. For example, one set contains one adapter with a height of 5 mm and one with a height of 10 mm. Combining these adapters creates an adapter with a height of 15 mm.
[0032] The profile (contour) of the at least one adapter or the at least one adapter strip is derived, for example, from a commercially available floor seal, which comes with the door leaf-side retaining profile for attachment to the door leaf body. An example of such a commercially available retractable floor seal with a retaining profile strip is the "Athmer Schall-Ex L-15 HOE" type (particularly for use as a soundproof door).
[0033] If other floor seals and retaining profiles are used, adapter strips with an adapted profile (contour) can be provided.
[0034] The adapters are adapted to the retaining profile on the door leaf side and the retaining profile on the seal side in such a way that it is ensured that the components to be joined together are also coordinated with one another.
[0035] The materials used for the adapter are the same as the retaining bar, e.g. aluminum alloy, or alternatively plastic.
[0036] Regarding the length of the adapter(s) (compared to the door leaf / floor seal), it is intended that the adapter has, in particular, the same length as the retaining profile.
[0037] In some designs, the length of the retaining profile is a few millimeters, e.g. approx. 7 mm, smaller than the width of the door leaf.
[0038] The floor seal (especially the rubber sealing part) is a few millimeters, e.g. approx. 20 mm, longer than the retaining profile.
[0039] Although it would be conceivable to have several adapter strips placed side by side, it is intended that one continuous adapter be used per floor seal or possibly several stacked continuous adapters be used per floor seal.
[0040] Two floor seals could also be installed on a door leaf. For example, a first floor seal is attached to the door leaf, and a second floor seal is offset in the thickness direction. A retaining profile is attached to the door leaf body for each floor seal. An adapter strip or an arrangement of several stacked adapter strips can be inserted between each floor seal and the associated retaining profile on the door leaf.
[0041] In particular, for a smoke protection door, which is only a smoke protection door if the requirements for smoke protection as defined in [1] to [3] are met, it is intended that the adapter strip(s) are continuous.
[0042] The adapter should therefore be continuous due to its use in smoke protection doors.
[0043] Embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1a front view of the broad side pointing in the opening direction of a door designed in particular as a smoke protection door and / or soundproof door; Fig. 2a side view from the left in Fig. 1seen from the door; Fig. 3 a rear view of the wide side of the door facing the opposite direction of opening; Fig. 4 a perspective, partially broken-away view of a lower area of the door with the door leaf open, showing a seal receptacle as well as the installation of a floor seal and an adapter strip inserted therebetween; Fig. 5 a side view of the lower area of the door from Fig. 4 ; Fig. 6 a side view of a narrow side of an embodiment of the adapter strip; Fig. 7 a perspective, partially broken away view of an end region of the adapter strip of Fig. 6 ; Fig. 8Front view of the adapter bar from the left in Fig. 6 seen; Fig. 9 an enlarged side view to illustrate the retaining profile contours of the adapter strip; Fig. 10 an enlarged view of detail X of Fig. 9; Fig. 11 a section through a door leaf of the door, with the floor seal being fastened without an adapter strip to a door leaf-side retaining profile in the seal holder; Fig. 12 a section through the door leaf as in Fig. 11 , where an adapter strip of lower height is inserted between the door leaf side retaining profile and the floor seal; Fig. 13 a section through the door leaf as in Figs. 11 and 12 , where an adapter strip of greater height is inserted between the door leaf side retaining profile and the floor seal; and Fig. 14 a section through the door leaf as in Fig. 11 to 13 , whereby an arrangement of an adapter strip of lower height and an adapter strip of higher height is inserted between the door leaf-side retaining profile and the floor seal.
[0044] In the Figures 1 to 5various views of a door 10 designed in particular as a smoke protection door or fire protection door are shown, which, as a hinged door, has a frame 12 and a door leaf 16 rotatably attached to the frame 12 by means of door hinges 14.
[0045] In some embodiments, the door 10 is designed as a metal door, in particular a steel door. Examples of designs for the frame 12 and door leaf 16 are known from reference [2] and are therefore not described in detail here.
[0046] In the Figures 1 to 5 The door 10 is shown above a floor 18. "OFF" refers to the desired position of the upper edge of the finished floor at the installation location, such as a construction site.
[0047] The door leaf 16 is provided with a seal receptacle 20 in its lower region, which faces downwards during normal use. The seal receptacle 20 is formed, for example, in a recessed area on the underside of a door leaf 22 of the door leaf 16.
[0048] Furthermore, the door leaf 16 has a floor seal 24 fastened to the door leaf 22 in the area of the seal holder 20.
[0049] The floor seal 24 is designed, in particular, as a lowerable floor seal. Such lowerable floor seals 24 are commercially available. For example, the floor seal 24 comprises a fastening strip 26, designed as a housing, in particular in a U-shaped profile, a sealing strip 28 with a rubber profile that is vertically movable relative to the fastening strip 26, and a movement mechanism 30 for lowering and raising the sealing strip 28 relative to the fastening strip 26.
[0050] In order to provide and / or fasten the floor seal 24 to the door leaf 22, a parts set 23 is provided during the manufacture of the door leaf 16, which has the floor seal 24 and a door leaf-side retaining profile 34 for fastening the floor seal 24 to the door leaf 22.
[0051] The door leaf-side retaining profile 34 is designed for fastening to a door leaf body 36 of the door leaf 25 and is configured for positively holding the floor seal 24.
[0052] The floor seal 24 is provided with a seal-side retaining profile 38 for positive engagement with the door leaf-side retaining profile 34.
[0053] How to Figure 11which shows a section through the lower region of the door leaf 16 in a standard design with the seal receptacle 20 and a direct attachment of the retaining profiles 34, 38 to one another, the seal-side retaining profile 38 can be pushed into the door leaf-side retaining profile 34. The retaining profiles 34, 38 have a complementary contour such that they can engage with one another in a form-fitting manner when pushed in. Different contours are possible here depending on the type and type of floor seal 24 available on the market. For example, C-profile shapes, dovetail-like profile shapes or, as shown, complementary projections and recesses 42 - in particular designed as profile areas or spaced-apart protruding strips or flanges or as channels or grooves - can be provided. In particular, the contours engage behind one another.
[0054] In the embodiment shown here, the seal-side retaining profile 38 is formed integrally on the fastening strip 26. For example, the seal-side retaining profile 38 has two opposing projection strips as projections 40 with thicker head regions that sit on a thinner neck region. For example, the neck regions are provided with a groove on their opposite outward-facing sides.
[0055] In some embodiments, the door leaf-side retaining profile 34 can be formed integrally with an element of the door leaf body 36. Preferably, the door leaf-side retaining profile 34 is designed as a retaining strip, which is available together with the bottom seal 24 in a parts kit and which can be attached to an element of the door leaf body 36. For example, the door leaf-side retaining profile 34, designed as a retaining strip, is attached using blind rivets 44.
[0056] Figure 11 shows a typical configuration for a standard bottom door gap. For example, a floor clearance of 10 millimeters is provided between the bottom edge of the door leaf 22 and OFF. Taking installation tolerances into account, this floor clearance can vary by + / - 5 millimeters. Such tolerances can be compensated for with the retractable floor seal 24.
[0057] In order to be able to handle layers of the floor 18 with larger deviations of the tolerances downwards - and thus to be able to seal larger floor gaps with the floor seal 24 without having to replace the door leaf 22, the parts set 32 for providing and fastening the floor seal 24 to the door leaf 22 is supplemented by at least one adapter strip 46.
[0058] The Figures 1 to 5show the door 10 provided with this parts set 32, wherein an adapter strip 46 with a height (= thickness of the adapter strip 46 between retaining profile contours 48, 52) of 10 millimeters has been used. Figure 13 shows a section through the lower area of the door leaf 16 with the adapter strip 46 with a height of 10 mm.
[0059] The parts kit 32 can comprise such an adapter strip 46 of a specific height or several adapter strips 46 with the same or different heights. For example, the use of adapter strip 46 is provided, which comprises an adapter strip 46 with a height of 5 mm as in Figure 12 shown and an adapter bar of 10 mm height as shown in Figure 13 shown. Other heights are also possible.
[0060] According to the Figures 1 to 5, to which reference is now made again, the floor clearance can be increased by 5 mm by using the 10 mm adapter - adapter strip 46 - so that the door 10 seals downwards even with a total floor clearance of 25 mm in the closed position.
[0061] How to Figures 4 to 10 and 12 to 14, the respective adapter strip 46 has a first retaining profile contour 48 on an upper side during intended use, which corresponds to the contour of the seal-side retaining profile 38. On the lower side during intended use, the respective adapter strip 46 has a second retaining profile contour 50 that corresponds to the contour of the door leaf-side retaining profile 34. In the illustrated embodiments, the upper first retaining profile contour 48 is provided with the projections 40, and the lower second retaining profile contour 50 is provided with the complementary recesses 42.
[0062] The adapter strip 46 can, for example, be made of the same material as the door leaf-side retaining profile 34 and / or the fastening strip 26, such as aluminum. A construction from a different material, such as plastic, is also possible.
[0063] For example, the door 10 with the frame 12 and the door leaf 16 is in the Figure 11 delivered in the configuration shown, with an additional set of adapter strips 46 with different heights being supplied.
[0064] The door leaf 22, the door leaf-side retaining profile 34, the floor seal 24 and the set of adapter strips 46 form a door leaf parts set for constructing the door leaf 16 with floor seal 24 adapted to different floor heights.
[0065] To change from the delivery state of the Figure 11In order to adapt the door leaf 16 to a lower floor with a floor gap of more than 10 mm, the adapter strip 46 can also be retrofitted while the door 10 is already installed. Figures 4 and 5 show an isometric partial view and a side partial view of the lower area of the door 10 with the door leaf 22 opened by 90 degrees, taking into account an adapter in the form of an adapter strip 46 with a height of 10 mm.
[0066] The adapter can be retrofitted on site without dismantling the door 10 by pulling the existing floor seal 24 out of the door leaf side retaining profile 34 via the hinge side with the door leaf 22 open and then reinserting the adapter strip 46 with the floor seal 24 inserted into the door leaf side retaining profile 30.
[0067] If necessary, a screw 52, for example in the form of a sheet metal screw, could be used to secure the adapter strip 46 to the door leaf-side retaining profile 34. For this purpose, a fixing screw receptacle 54, for example in the form of a groove or notch, is provided on the door leaf-side retaining profile 34 and on the top and bottom of each adapter strip 46.
[0068] Fig. 10 shows the fixing screw receptacle 54 in the form of an additional triangle attached to the adapter in order to be able to fix it in the inserted state, with the door leaf-side retaining profile, by means of a screw 52.
[0069] To compensate for smaller tolerances, the adapter bar 46 with a height of 5 mm can be used, as shown in Figure 12is shown. For larger tolerance deviations, the adapter strip 46 with a height of 10 mm can be used; however, an arrangement of two adapter strips 46 of lower height would also be possible, for example, two adapter strips of 5 mm height placed one above the other.
[0070] Even larger tolerances can be compensated by an even higher adapter bar 46, for example 15 mm high.
[0071] Figure 14 shows an example arrangement in which two adapter profiles with thicknesses of 10 mm and 5 mm are combined. However, other thicknesses and configurations are also possible.
[0072] Examples are 10 mm plus 5 mm, as in Figure 14 Shown are 5 mm and 10 – i.e., the order of the adapter strips is reversed – and a combination of three adapters, for example, 5 mm + 5 mm + 5 mm. Other heights or thicknesses, such as 7.5 mm + 7.5 mm, would also be possible.
[0073] As already explained above, the door leaf-side retaining profile 34 is fastened to the door leaf body 36, for example, by means of blind rivets 44. Other fastening options, such as sheet metal screws, adhesive bonds, welding, or a one-piece construction of the door leaf-side retaining profile 34 with the door leaf body 36, are also conceivable.
[0074] When using fasteners such as blind rivets, rivets, or screws, the position and application of the fasteners depends on the door leaf width. This process of providing the door leaf-side retaining profile 34 is independent of the use of the adapter.
[0075] In the figures, door 10 is shown as a DIN right-hand door. Of course, corresponding designs are also possible for a DIN left-hand door.
[0076] According to the Fig. 8 and 9The length of the adapter strip corresponds to the length of the door leaf-side retaining profile 34. This length is a few millimeters, e.g. 20 to 80 mm, shorter than the standard width of the door 10. The width of the adapter strip 46 corresponds to the width of the door leaf-side retaining profile and / or the width of the floor seal 24 or its fastening strip 26.
[0077] In order to ensure the sealing effect for a door in the area of the floor even in unfavorable installation situations with little effort, the invention provides a parts set (32) with a door leaf-side retaining profile (34) for positively holding a floor seal (24) on a door leaf (22), a floor seal (24) with a seal-side retaining profile (38) for positively engaging in the door leaf-side retaining profile (34), and at least one adapter strip (46) for interposing between the door leaf-side retaining profile (34) and the floor seal (24), wherein the at least one adapter strip (46) has a first retaining profile contour (48) on a side which is the upper side during intended use, which corresponds to the contour of the seal-side retaining profile (38), and a second retaining profile contour (50) on a side which is the lower side during intended use, which corresponds to the contour of the door leaf-side retaining profile (34).
