Abstract
Description
[0001] Vehicle with a center console
[0002] The invention relates to a vehicle with a center console according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
[0003] In many vehicle models, the interior of the vehicle is quite voluminous, so that a variety of storage options for objects can be provided.
[0004] This also applies, for example, to battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) powered by a traction battery, where the elimination of the drive shaft allows for a large storage area in the center console. However, cargo placed on this storage area, such as larger items, can potentially compromise driving safety, especially during certain maneuvers while the vehicle is moving.
[0005] From the generic document DE 102017 129 147 A1, a device for a vehicle interior is known, comprising a seat configured to move in a direction of travel and a console coupled to the movable seat. The console may include: a collapsible section for when a portion of the console moves in the direction of travel, a stepped connection point for connecting to the movable seat, a rear extension with a tilting door to allow access by passengers in a rear area, and an extendable holder for a mobile handheld computer.
[0006] DE 102012 010666 A1 proposes an armrest arrangement for a motor vehicle, comprising an armrest, wherein the armrest has a receiving device which is displaceable in a displacement direction between a retracted position and an extended position, with an armrest support on which the armrest is arranged, wherein the armrest is displaceable in an adjustment direction parallel to the displacement direction between an initial and an end position relative to the armrest support.
[0007] CN 2 17 396 384 U proposes a door guard plate assembly for an automobile. The door guard plate assembly consists of a guard plate body and a limiting belt, with a map pocket arranged on the inner side surface of the main body of the guard plate. The limiting belt is provided with a fastening part and a connecting part, with the fastening part being fixedly arranged on a main board and located in front of or behind the map pocket. The limiting belt has a rest state in which the fastening part and the connecting part are both located in front of or behind the map pocket, and a use state in which the connecting part and the fastening part are respectively fixed in front of and behind the map pocket. When the limiting belt is in the use state, the limiting belt can make contact with objects and limit them.
[0008] The invention is based on the object of specifying a generic vehicle with a center console in which the load stored in the area of the center console can be secured in a simple manner and in particular in a way that is easy to handle for an operator.
[0009] This object is achieved according to the invention by a vehicle with a center console having the features of patent claim 1.
[0010] Advantageous further developments of the invention are part of the further patent claims.
[0011] According to the invention, the cargo stored in a (large-volume) storage area formed in the lower part of the center console is secured by a fastening device connected to (at least part of) the center console, thereby preventing unwanted movement of the cargo in the storage area. In particular, slipping of the cargo in the storage area while the vehicle is moving is prevented, as can occur, for example, as a result of braking maneuvers or cornering.
[0012] In particular, this can effectively reduce the risk of injury to the vehicle's occupants caused by the load in the event of a vehicle crash. The fastening device comprises a belt strap that can be tensioned between a belt winder or roller and a belt receptacle. The belt strap, when extended and tensioned, is secured in the belt receptacle using a specific locking mechanism. In particular, the belt strap is automatically locked to the belt receptacle when inserted into the belt receptacle.
[0013] The activation of the fastening device, i.e. the loosening or release of the belt from the belt winder, can be carried out either by manual operation by an operator or by means of the operation of a control element.
[0014] This control element, which can be operated by a passenger of the motor vehicle, is designed, for example, as a push-button switch, toggle switch or rotary switch, when actuated, the belt webbing can be pulled out of the belt retractor and moved in the direction of the belt receptacle.
[0015] The belt strap consists in particular of a textile with plastic fibers similar to the safety belts of a vehicle or of a link chain with chain links made of metal or with chain links made of metal-coated plastic.
[0016] The belt can be tensioned in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction) and thus in a horizontal direction between the belt winder or belt roller and the belt holder.
[0017] In this case, both the belt winder and the belt receptacle of the fastening device can be attached at the same height on the lower part of the center console at a distance from one another, in particular the belt winder or the belt receptacle is attached to the front end of the lower part of the center console and then the belt receptacle or the belt winder is attached to the rear end of the lower part of the center console.
[0018] Alternatively, the belt winder or the belt receptacle of the fastening device can be attached to the upper part of the center console, and the belt receptacle or the belt winder of the fastening device can then be attached at the same height on the vehicle's instrument panel. In a preferred second embodiment of the invention, the belt webbing can be tensioned in the vertical direction of the vehicle (z-direction) and thus in a vertical direction between the belt winder or belt roller and the belt receptacle.
[0019] The belt winder or the belt holder of the fastening device can be attached to the upper part of the center console and then the belt holder or the belt winder of the fastening device can be attached to the same longitudinal position on the lower part of the center console.
[0020] In an embodiment with a fastening of the belt winder or the belt receptacle of the fastening device on the upper part of the center console, when the upper part of the center console is moved longitudinally in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction), the belt winder of the fastening device attached thereto or the belt receptacle of the fastening device attached thereto is also moved longitudinally together with the upper part of the center console in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction).
[0021] In a specific embodiment of the center console, the upper part of the center console can be moved with its front end towards the instrument panel of the vehicle during a longitudinal displacement in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction), so that the upper part of the center console lies flush against the instrument panel of the vehicle.
[0022] In this position of the center console, a closed surface is created for the storage area in the lower part of the center console.
[0023] Advantageously, the invention presented allows a load, even a bulky one, accommodated in the area of the center console to be secured in a simple and cost-effective manner, effectively and efficiently.
[0024] Further advantages, features and details of the invention will become apparent from the following description of preferred embodiments and from the drawings.
[0025] The features and combinations of features mentioned above in the description as well as the features and combinations of features mentioned below in the description of the figures and / or shown alone in the figures can be used not only in the respective combination specified, but also in other combinations or on their own, without departing from the scope of the invention.
[0026] Showing:
[0027] Fig. 1 A schematic sectional view of the longitudinally movable center console of a vehicle.
[0028] Fig. 2 A schematic sectional view of the longitudinally displaceable center console of a vehicle with a first embodiment of the fastening device.
[0029] Fig. 3 A schematic sectional view of the longitudinally displaceable center console of a vehicle with a second embodiment of the fastening device.
[0030] Fig. 4 A schematic sectional view of the longitudinally displaceable center console of a vehicle with a third embodiment of the fastening device.
[0031] According to Figure 1, the center console 1 of the vehicle arranged in the area of the front seats has a lower part 4 and an upper part 3 arranged on the lower part 4 and longitudinally displaceable in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction).
[0032] This upper part 3 of the center console 1 can be displaced longitudinally along the travel path 9 in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction), i.e., it can be displaced longitudinally between a front position 7 and a rear position 8 of the upper part 3 of the center console 1. For example, with this longitudinal displacement in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction), a maximum travel path 9 of the upper part 3 of the center console 1 of between 20 cm and 30 cm is possible.
[0033] For example, in a specific embodiment of the center console 1, the upper part 3 of the center console 1 can also be moved along the travel path 9 in the vehicle longitudinal direction (x-direction) up to the instrument panel 2 of the vehicle, so that the front end 14 of the upper part 3 of the center console 1 in this case lies flush against the instrument panel 2 of the vehicle.
[0034] In the lower part 4 of the center console 1, a voluminous storage area 5 is formed by a corresponding shaping of the lower part 4 of the center console 1, which can be used to receive or store even large-volume cargo 6 with corresponding objects to be stored therein.
[0035] On its upper side, the storage area 5 is covered by the upper part 3 of the center console 1, wherein this cover of the storage area 5 is designed differently according to the current position of the upper part 3 of the center console 1, which is longitudinally displaceable in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction), and thus depending on the current position of the front end 14 of the upper part 3 of the center console 1.
[0036] For example, if the upper part 3 of the center console 1 is displaced along the travel path 9 in the vehicle longitudinal direction (x-direction) up to the instrument panel 2 of the vehicle, a closed cover of the storage area 5 is formed by the upper part 3 of the center console 1.
[0037] According to Figure 2, a fastening device 10 is provided for fixing the load 6 accommodated in the storage area 5.
[0038] This fastening device 10 has a flexible belt strap 11 which can be tensioned between a belt winder or belt roller 12 and a belt holder 13 and which consists, for example, of a textile with integrated plastic fibers.
[0039] According to the exemplary embodiment shown in Figure 2, the belt winder or belt roller 12 of the fastening device 10 is arranged at the front end 15 of the storage area 5 and the belt receptacle 13 of the fastening device 10 is arranged at the same height in the vehicle vertical direction (z-direction) at the rear end 16 of the storage area 5.
[0040] As a result, the flexible belt strap 11 of the fastening device 10, which can be tensioned horizontally in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction) between the belt winder or belt roller 12 and the belt receptacle 13, can have a length of between 40 cm and 60 cm, for example. The load 6 accommodated in the storage area 5 is thus secured on its upper side by the belt strap 11 of the fastening device 10 and thus securely held in the storage area 5, even while the vehicle is moving.
[0041] According to Figure 3, an alternative fastening device 10 is provided for fixing the load 6 accommodated in the storage area 5.
[0042] This fastening device 10 also has a flexible belt strap 11 that can be tensioned between a belt winder or belt roller 12 and a belt receptacle 13. The flexible belt strap 11 consists, for example, of a textile with integrated plastic fibers. According to the exemplary embodiment shown in Figure 3, the belt winder or belt roller 12 of the fastening device 10 is mounted centrally on the lower part 4 of the center console 1, and the belt receptacle 13 of the fastening device 10 is arranged at the front end 14 of the upper part 3 of the center console 1.
[0043] As a result, the flexible belt strap 11 of the fastening device 10, which can be tensioned vertically in the vehicle vertical direction (z-direction) between the belt winder or belt roller 12 and the belt holder 13, can have a length of between 20 cm and 45 cm, for example.
[0044] The load 6 accommodated in the storage area 5 is thus fixed laterally by the belt strap 11 of the fastening device 10 and is thus held securely in the storage area 5 even while the vehicle is moving.
[0045] According to Figure 4, a further alternative fastening device 10 is provided for fixing the load 6 accommodated in the storage area 5.
[0046] This fastening device 10 also has a flexible belt strap 11 which can be tensioned between a belt winder or belt roller 12 and a belt holder 13 and which consists, for example, of a textile with integrated plastic fibers.
[0047] According to the exemplary embodiment shown in Figure 4, the belt winder or belt roller 12 of the fastening device 10 is arranged at the front end 14 of the upper part 3 of the center console 1, and the belt receptacle 13 of the fastening device 10 is mounted at the same height in the vehicle's vertical direction (z-direction) on the instrument panel 2 of the vehicle. As a result, the flexible belt strap 11 of the fastening device 10, which can be tensioned horizontally in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction) between the belt winder or belt roller 12 and the belt receptacle 13, can have a length of between 25 cm and 45 cm, for example.
[0048] In this embodiment of the fastening device 10, too, when the upper part 3 of the center console 1 is displaced horizontally in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction), the belt receptacle 13 of the fastening device 10 arranged at the front end 14 of the upper part 3 of the center console 1 is also displaced in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction). Thus, the belt strap 11 of the fastening device 10 is also displaced in the vehicle's longitudinal direction (x-direction), and thus the load 6 accommodated in the storage area 5 is also securely held in the storage area 5 during the longitudinal displacement of the upper part 3 of the center console 1.
