[0001] Embodiments of this disclosure generally relate to a cosmetic applicator for applying a product, including a cosmetic, skincare, or pharmaceutical product, to human skin or keratinous fibers, such as, for example, hair, eyebrows, nails, and / or eyelashes. The product includes a viscous, semi-solid, or powdery liquid.

[0003] Cosmetic applicators such as brush or pencil applicators are known in the cosmetics industry. Cosmetic packaging often includes such applicators to dispense a particular cosmetic product contained within the packaging. The cosmetic applicator generally includes a stem with a cap at one end and an applicator head in the form of a brush, spatula, or other applicator structure suitable for applying a cosmetic or personal care product, including viscous cosmetics, mascara, eyeliner, lip gloss, hair dye, wound care, skin care, anti-cerema cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and the like.

[0008] According to one embodiment of this disclosure, cosmetic packaging is proposed that includes a cosmetic applicator for applying a product, including a cosmetic product or a skincare product. The cosmetic or product skincare includes viscous cosmetics, such as mascara, eyebrow powder / tint, lip gloss, hair dye, skin care, anti-ceme cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and similar products.

A cosmetic applicator for applying a product including a cosmetic product or a skincare product, comprising: an applicator head retained at a distal end of a rod and a cap at a proximal end of the rod; wherein the applicator head comprises a first applicator element and a second applicator element extending in a direction along a longitudinal axis; wherein the first applicator element is cylindrical in shape and has a cavity extending along the entire length of the first applicator element; wherein the cavity has an opening at a distal end of the first applicator element; wherein the second applicator element is an elongated bar-type structure and at least a portion of the second applicator element is received within the cavity of the first applicator element;in which a portion of an external surface of the first applicator member includes a first application surface having a plurality of application elements; and in which a distal end surface of the second applicator member is inclined and includes a second application surface, in which the opening at a distal end of the first applicator member is oriented in a plane that is oblique to a longitudinal axis of the applicator head and surrounds the inclined distal end surface of the second applicator member; and in which the inclined distal end surface of the second applicator member is a single surface that substantially extends the opening and is in a fixed position relative to the first applicator member and the opening, and in which a vertex of the second applicator is aligned with a vertex of the first applicator.

2. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 1, wherein the opening has a shape selected from the group consisting of oval, spatulate, obovate, elliptical, oblong and deltoid.

3. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 1, wherein the distal end surface of the second applicator member is convexly curved.

4. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 1, wherein the plurality of application elements is selected from protrusions, hairs, teeth, flocking, particles, ribs, grooves, discs, slits, notches, holes, dimples and foam.

5. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 1, wherein the first applicator member and the second applicator member are molded applicator members.

6. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 1, wherein at least a portion of the second application surface comprises flocking, protrusions, ribs or grooves.

7. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 1, wherein each of the first applicator member and the second applicator member is made from a material selected from a group consisting of a plastic, metallic, alloy, ceramic, stone, wood, rubber, sintered, porous material and combinations thereof.

8. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 1, wherein the second application surface protrudes from the opening of the cavity at the distal end of the first applicator member.

9. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 1, wherein the second application surface is flush with the distal end of the first applicator member.

10. Cosmetic applicator for applying a product including a cosmetic product or a care product, comprising an applicator head: in which the applicator head comprises a first applicator element and a second applicator element extending in a direction along a longitudinal axis; in which the first applicator element is cylindrical in shape and has a cavity extending along the entire length of the first applicator element; in which the cavity has an opening at a distal end of the first applicator element; in which at least a portion of the second applicator element is received within the cavity of the first applicator element; in which a portion of an external surface of the first applicator member includes a first application surface having a plurality of application elements; and in which a distal end surface of the second applicator member is inclined and includes a second application surface, in which the opening at a distal end of the first applicator member is oriented in a plane that is oblique to a longitudinal axis of the applicator head and surrounds the inclined distal end surface of the second applicator member; and in which the inclined distal end surface of the second applicator member is a single surface that substantially extends the opening and is in a fixed position relative to the first applicator member and the opening, and in which a vertex of the second applicator is aligned with a vertex of the first applicator.

11. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 10, wherein the second application surface protrudes from the opening of the cavity at the distal end of the first applicator member.

12. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 10, wherein the second application surface is flush with the distal end of the first applicator member.

13. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 10, wherein the first applicator member includes an annular projection on its inner surface and the second applicator member includes an annular recess on its outer surface and an annular flange adjacent to said annular recess; or wherein the first applicator member includes an annular recess on its inner surface and the second applicator member includes an annular projection on its outer surface and an annular flange adjacent to said annular recess.

14. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 10, wherein a longitudinal groove is provided on an external surface of a second applicator member and a complementary longitudinal protrusion is provided on an internal surface inside the cavity of the first applicator member.

15. Cosmetic applicator according to claim 10, wherein the opening has a shape selected from the group consisting of oval, spatulate, obovate, elliptical, oblong and deltoid.
