Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Liquid evacuation assembly and corresponding installation
[0001] The present invention relates to a liquid evacuation assembly, comprising a liquid evacuation device.
[0002] Liquid drainage devices are known, suitable for draining rainwater, for example from roofs or terraces. Such a device is described in patent application EP1704289.
[0003] In order to ensure reliable water drainage, liquid drainage installations comprise a main liquid drainage network and a secondary liquid drainage network, also called a safety liquid drainage network. The drainage level of the secondary liquid drainage network is located above the drainage level of the main liquid drainage network.
[0004] Thus, as long as the main liquid drainage network is operating, the secondary liquid drainage network is not used, but the liquid flows through the secondary liquid drainage network in the event that the main liquid drainage network is obstructed.
[0005] However, the presence of the secondary liquid drainage network may not be sufficient to ensure the proper functioning of the installation, because the secondary liquid drainage network may also become blocked before the main network is inspected and cleaned.
[0006] The invention aims to propose a device which makes it possible to increase the operational safety of a liquid evacuation installation and this with simple and economical means. The invention also aims to ensure reliable operation and to avoid false alarms.
[0007] To this end, the invention relates to a discharge assembly as indicated above, characterized in that the liquid discharge assembly further comprises a device for detecting the presence of liquid near the liquid discharge device.

[0014] The invention also relates to a liquid evacuation installation, comprising
[0015] a main liquid discharge device, having a first liquid discharge level, and
[0016] a secondary liquid discharge device, having a second liquid discharge level located above the first liquid discharge level,
[0017] characterized in that the liquid discharge installation comprises a liquid discharge assembly as defined above, and in that the liquid discharge device of the liquid discharge assembly is the secondary liquid discharge device.
[0018] According to particular embodiments of the installation, the latter may comprise one or more of the following characteristics:
[0019] - the installation comprises a liquid collection zone, in particular a gutter, a roof valley or a recess in a roof terrace, and the primary liquid drainage device and the secondary liquid drainage device are arranged in the liquid collection area;
[0020] - the main liquid discharge device is a discharge outlet of liquid adapted to discharge rainwater, comprising a discharge pipe, and a covering element covering the discharge pipe and the main liquid discharge device is provided with a device for detecting liquid flowing through the main liquid discharge device;

[0027] [Fig.3] [Fig.3] shows the detail of [Fig.2] in plan view;
[0028] [Fig.4] [Fig.4] is a section along plane IV-IV of [Fig.3]; and
[0029] [Fig.5] [Fig.5] is a sectional view of a secondary discharge device of liquid of Figures 2 and 3.
[0030] In [Fig.l] is shown a liquid evacuation installation, designated by the general reference 2.
[0031] The liquid drainage installation 2 is in particular arranged on a roof or a terrace 4 and is adapted to drain rainwater from the roof or the terrace.
[0032] The liquid evacuation installation 2 comprises a main liquid evacuation network 6 and a secondary liquid evacuation network 8, also called a safety liquid evacuation network.
[0033] The liquid evacuation installation 2 comprises a liquid collection zone, in this case a gutter 10. In variants not shown, the evacuation installation may comprise another liquid collection means, in particular a roof valley, a recess in a flat roof such as for example under slabs mounted on pads, or a roof terrace acroterion.
[0034] The liquid evacuation installation 2 is provided with a main liquid evacuation device 12, having a first liquid evacuation level NEL1, and a secondary liquid evacuation device 14, having a second liquid evacuation level NEL2 located above the first liquid evacuation level NEL1.
[0035] The main liquid discharge device 12 and the secondary liquid discharge device 14 are arranged in the gutter 10.
[0036] The liquid evacuation installation 2 comprises a liquid evacuation assembly 20 provided with a liquid evacuation device, in this case the secondary liquid evacuation device 14, and a device 22 for detecting the presence of liquid near the liquid evacuation device of the liquid evacuation assembly. The remainder of the description will be made using the secondary liquid evacuation device 14 as the liquid evacuation device of the liquid evacuation assembly 20.
[0037] The secondary liquid evacuation device 14 will be described below.
[0038] The secondary liquid evacuation device 14 is for example a device which is identical to that described in patent EP1704289. The characteristics of this device, in particular those described on pages 4 to 10 of patent application WO2005 / 61815, on which patent EP1704289 is based, are therefore present on the liquid evacuation device of the present invention.
[0039] Thus, the secondary liquid discharge device 14 is a liquid discharge outlet adapted to discharge rainwater (see [Fig.5]). The secondary liquid discharge device 14 comprises a discharge pipe 24 and a covering element 26, in this case a covering plate, covering the discharge pipe and provided with openings for the passage of rainwater as described in patent EP1704289. Alternatively, the covering element is a covering grid. The discharge pipe 24 is connected to the secondary liquid discharge network 8.
[0040] The secondary liquid discharge device 14 comprises a collecting tray 28, and the covering element 26 covers the collecting tray 28, respectively the discharge pipe 24. The collecting tray 28 is arranged between the discharge pipe 24 and the covering element 26. The covering element 26 comprises a face 30 directed towards the collecting tray 28, therefore towards the discharge pipe 24.
[0041] The secondary liquid discharge device 14 comprises a liquid inlet 32, in this case defined by a peripheral part of the collecting tray 28 and of the covering element 26 as well as by the through openings provided in the covering plate 26.
[0042] The liquid discharge assembly 20 comprises a liquid barrier 34 adapted to prevent liquid which surrounds the secondary liquid discharge device 14 and which is flush with the level of the liquid inlet, from entering the liquid inlet 32. In other words, the liquid barrier 34 shifts the liquid discharge level located at the liquid inlet 32 upwards, such that this liquid discharge level is the second liquid discharge level NEL2.
[0043] In this case, the liquid barrier 34 is an annular collar fixed to the secondary liquid evacuation device 14.
[0044] Alternatively, in the absence of a liquid barrier 34, the secondary liquid discharge device 14 is arranged higher than the main liquid discharge device 12, such that the liquid inlet 32 is located above the liquid inlet 56 of the main discharge device 12 (see below and [Fig. 4]). In this case, the second liquid discharge level NEL2 coincides with the liquid discharge level of the liquid inlet 32.
[0045] The liquid presence detection device 22 comprises a liquid sensor 40 arranged on the secondary liquid discharge device 14, in this case on the liquid discharge outlet.
[0046] The liquid sensor 40 is arranged in an environment close to the secondary liquid discharge device or on a passage of the liquid during its flow towards the secondary discharge device 14. Preferably, the liquid sensor is arranged on the covering element 26, in this case on the covering plate, more particularly in the center of this covering plate or at least opposite the opening defined by the discharge pipe 24. Advantageously, the liquid sensor 40 is arranged on the face 30 of the covering element 26 directed towards the collecting tank. Thus, the liquid sensor 40 detects water entering the discharge pipe, but is prevented from detecting the presence of raindrops.
[0047] Alternatively, the liquid sensor 40 is arranged on the discharge pipe 24, in particular inside this discharge pipe or even in the collecting tank 28.
[0048] The main liquid discharge device 12 is in this case a liquid discharge outlet adapted to discharge rainwater. The main liquid discharge device 12 may be generally identical to the secondary liquid discharge device 14, described above. The main liquid discharge device 12 is in particular a device which is identical to that described in patent EP1704289. The characteristics of this device, in particular those described on pages 4 to 10 of patent application WO2005 / 61815, on which patent EP1704289 is based, are therefore present on the main liquid discharge device 12.
[0049] The main liquid discharge device 12 thus comprises a discharge pipe 50 and a covering element 52, in this case a covering plate. The main liquid discharge device 12 is provided with a collecting tray 54 surrounding or covering the discharge pipe 50. The covering element 52 covers the collecting tray 54. The discharge pipe 50 is connected to the main liquid discharge network 6. The collecting tray 28, respectively 54, is adapted to collect the liquid and bring it to the discharge pipe 24, respectively 50.
[0050] The main liquid discharge device 12 comprises a liquid inlet 56, in this case defined by a peripheral portion of the collecting tray 54 and the covering element 52.
[0051] As the only differences from the secondary liquid discharge device 14, the main liquid discharge device 12: - on the one hand is devoid of and does not carry a device for detecting liquid circulating through the main liquid evacuation device and - on the other hand is not surrounded by a liquid barrier. Consequently, the liquid inlet 56 defines the first liquid discharge level NEL1.
[0052] The liquid evacuation installation further comprises a signaling device 60 adapted to signal a fault in the main liquid evacuation device 12.
[0053] The device for detecting the presence of liquid 22 near the secondary liquid evacuation device 14 comprises a detection module 62 which uses the signal generated by the liquid sensor 40.
[0054] The signaling device 60 comprises the liquid presence detection device 22 near the liquid discharge device, in this case near the secondary liquid discharge device 14, and a signaling means 64. The signaling device 60 signals a fault when a presence of liquid is detected by the liquid sensor 40 and noted by the detection module 62.
[0055] The detection module 62 comprises, for example, computer means. The signaling means 64 may be any means suitable for signaling the state of the liquid sensor, for example a display on a mobile phone or an email, etc.
[0056] The signaling device 60 makes it possible to alert as soon as the secondary evacuation network comes into service and thus allows the operator in charge of maintenance to intervene quickly on the main network in order to unblock it.
[0057] The signaling device 60 comprises, for example, a liquid sensor 40 which operates in transmission mode and which is connected to a radiofrequency antenna. When the sensor detects the presence of water, it emits a signal which, via the antenna, is transmitted to a detection / reception device 62 located nearby. The detection device is connected to a computer network enabling the information to be communicated in the form, for example, of an alert message displayed on a computer or a smartphone.
[0058] The foregoing description contains technical features of the invention. These technical features, although presented in a technical context and possibly in combination with other technical features, can be used individually each time, without the other technical features, as far as this is technically possible.
