Description

Title of the invention: Method for manufacturing a material from grape and vine residues for the production of objects FIELD OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a material for the production of objects by shaping such as molding, injection, extrusion, printing, compression, blowing this material resulting from grape residues.

[0002] The invention also relates to the product made with such a material.

[0003] The invention uses as raw material, grape residues such as stalks grapes, grape marc and grape marc and vine residues such as vine shoots and vines for example. STATE OF THE ART

[0004] Grape stalks are a co-product / by-product (waste) from the wine industry and obtained after destemming the grapes. Usually, these grape stalks are either:

[0005] - burned,

[0006] - composted,

[0007] - reintegrated into the soil or,

[0008] - distilled to obtain alcohol

[0009] The grape stalk is composed of cellulose (30.3%), hemicelluloses (21.0%), lignin (17.4%), tannins (15.9%) and proteins (6.1%)1.

[0010] Grape marc is produced from the pressing of grapes, or from the crushing of grapes as well as from vatting. It is currently mainly used in distilleries for the production of alcohol.

[0011] The residues of grape marc obtained after its distillation are composed of seeds, skins, pulps and stalks.

[0012] Grape seeds can be pressed to produce oil that is used in the food and cosmetics industries. Other, more anecdotal uses of grape seeds include their transformation into fuel thanks to their high calorific value. Grape skins and pulp are now mainly used as animal feed (rabbits, sheep, etc.) or as fertilizer.

[0013] PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION

[0014] The present invention aims to use grape stalks, marc and marc residues and, in general, grape and vine residues to manufacture products.

[0015] DISCLOSURE AND ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION

[0016] For this purpose, the invention relates to a method for manufacturing a material for producing objects by shaping, a method consisting of: collecting grape or vine residues, drying the residues to obtain dried residues, grinding the dried residues by fine grinding and obtaining a powder, sieving the powder obtained by grinding to separate: the microfibers, and the flour, mixing the microfibers and the flour according to a given weight ratio of between 2 and 50% and preferably between 2 and 40% and even more preferably, between 5 and 30% of fibers, adding a resin to the mixture, putting the mixture in the form of granules or filaments constituting the material intended for producing the product, in particular for injection, extrusion, blowing or 3D printing.

[0017] The grape residues are chosen from the group comprising: grape stalks, grape marc, grape seeds, pulp, skins and vine residues (RV) are chosen from the group comprising: vine shoots and vines

[0018] According to another characteristic, to obtain grape residues, exhausted grape marc, moist from distillation, is collected, this grape marc is sorted to separate an exhausted, deseeded and pulped marc and a mixture of seeds, pulp and skins and the mixture of seeds, pulp and skins is dried and sorted to separate the pulps, skins and dried seeds, grape residues are obtained comprising on the one hand the grape marc and on the other hand, the dried pulps, skins and seeds.

[0019] The products obtained, i.e. grape marc, skins, pulps and seeds are used separately or in certain weight combinations in the process of manufacturing the material as indicated above.

[0020] According to another characteristic, the resins are polyester resins such as polylactic acids, polyhydroxyalkanoates, poly-[3-hydroxybutyrates, polybutylene succinates, polyethylene terephthalates, butylene for example, polypropylene resins or polystyrene resins, polyethylene resins mixed in proportions by weight of fibers ranging from 2 to 50% to form the granules or filaments.

[0021] The raw material is used according to the invention to produce objects, in particular stoppers and / or stopper heads by injection, extrusion, compression, blowing or 3D printing. Brief description of the drawings

[0022] The present invention will be described below in more detail with the aid of diagrams of the process for manufacturing the material from grape and vine residues shown in the accompanying drawings in which:

[0023] [Fig. 1] general diagram of the process for manufacturing a material from grape and vine residues,

[0024] [Fig.2] diagram of the process for treating exhausted, wet marc resulting from distillation.

[0025] DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

[0026] The method according to the invention for preparing a raw material for injection or 3D printing from RR grape residues and RV vine residues will be described with the aid of [Fig.l].

[0027] Depending on the method, grape residues are collected, which are grape stalks, grape marc, seeds or grape skins and pulp. Vine residues RV are also collected, which may be vine shoots or vines. These different residues are treated separately. And within each category, the nature and characteristics of the products can vary greatly.

[0028] According to [Fig.l], the method consists of collecting (1) the RR grape residues or the RV vine residues. Then, subjecting these RR or RV residues to drying (2) to a moisture content of 10%.

[0029] The dried RRS or RVS residues are then ground, then sieved with sieves of different granulometry to recover different fractions ranging from 50 pm to a few millimeters.

[0030] The ground products are MF microfibers and FF flour.

[0031] Since the characteristics of the microfibers and the flour are different, it is provided, according to the invention, to sort the ground residues RB in a sorting phase 4 to separate the microfibers MF and the flour FF. The separated microfibers are characterized by fiber lengths ranging from 250 μm to 1-2 mm.

[0032] FF flour is characterized by a particle size of less than 250 pm.

[0033] The separated MF microfibers and FF flour are stored in an intermediate manner 4a, 4b to then be used in precise proportions, which vary depending on the nature of the raw material to be obtained.

[0034] This separation by sieving 4 is also necessary because the composition of the residues is variable and the residues from the same collection, therefore from the same origin, can have a non-homogeneous composition which, by grinding (3) give a composition of MF microfibers and FF flour which can vary.

[0035] The separation of the two components by sieving 4 makes it possible to constitute a reserve 4a of microfibers MF and a reserve 4b of flour FF.

[0036] The next step is the mixing phase 6 according to weight proportions of microfibers and FF flour according to the raw material to be obtained.

[0037] The composition of the material derived from grape residues for the manufacture of objects comprises according to the invention:

[0038] - a weight proportion of microfibers preferably between 0 and 50% between 2 and 40% and even more preferably between 5 and 30%,

[0039] - a weight proportion of flour between 0 and 50%, preferably between 2 and 40% and even more preferably between 5 and 30%,

[0040] - a proportion of resin between 50 and 98%,

[0041] A proportion of colorant of between 0 and 10%, preferably between 0 and 5% and even more preferably between 0 and 3%,

[0042] - a proportion of adjuvant (which may be a release agent or a plasticizer) included between 0 and 30%, preferably between 0 and 20% and even more preferably between 0 and 10%

[0043] The added RES resin is in particular a bound or sourced resin such as polyester resins such as polylactic acids, polyethylene terephthalate, butylene terephthalate for example, polypropylene resins or polystyrene resins, polyethylene resins or even a combined resin of these two or three components.

[0044] The resin is added in weight proportions ranging from 50 to 98% if the proportion of fibers in the mixture is between 2 and 50%.

[0045] The mixture obtained MG or MF, depending on the destination, feeds a phase of shaping granules 6A or a shaping 6b of filaments.

[0046] The GR granules are intended for injection 7 to obtain the objects 9. The FI filaments are intended for 3D printing to obtain other types of objects 10 because the granules are preferentially used for injection while the filaments are better suited for 3D printing.

[0047] [Fig.2] shows the details of the process for obtaining RR residues from marc exhausted, wet MEH collection (20)

[0048] Grape marc is distilled in distillation columns to separate the anthocyanins and alcohol. The residue from this distillation is an exhausted, wet marc MEH

[0049] This MEH marc is sorted (21) to separate, on the one hand, the PE seeds and the PX skins and the PU pulps, and to obtain, on the other hand, the exhausted, seeded and pulped MEED marc as RR residue.

[0050] The PE seeds, the PX skins and the PU pulps are dried 22 then sorted 23 to separate, on the one hand, the PUS pulps and PX skins and, on the other hand, the PES seeds.

[0051] These PUS, PES, MEED products are used as RR residues in the manufacturing process according to [Fig.l].

[0052] In more detail, the objects obtained from the raw material consisting of GR granules or FI filaments, by injection or by 3D printing are, for example, stoppers, stopper heads or capsules.

[0053] By injection 7 a cylindrical stopper can be manufactured by continuous extrusion and cutting to the desired length.

[0054] Cork heads for spirits can also be made. Traditional cork stoppers are attached to this head, for example, by gluing.

[0055] Instead of cork stoppers, it is also possible to use stoppers made from renewable raw materials such as polymers that can be derived from sugar cane.

[0056] It is also possible to manufacture with this raw material, stoppers for spirits comprising both the stopper head and the stopper body manufactured by injection. In this case, there is no gluing of the head to the stopper body.

[0057] By injection, it is also possible to manufacture screw caps for gourds topped, for example, with a ring for a better grip or even including a neck to facilitate the intake of liquid.

[0058] These objects have the particularity of being able to be bio-sourced. By blowing, we can also manufacture containers for packaging drinks, cosmetic products, perfumes, etc.

[0059] Depending on the polymer / resin combination used, the objects may be compostable in an industrial composter or biodegradable under specific conditions and depending on the granulometry, the compounds will degrade more or less slowly.
