Description

Title of the invention: Mattress set Technical field.

[0001] The invention relates to the technical field of mattress sets comprising a mattress and a box spring mounted on top of each other, more particularly to the connecting means of the mattress set. State of the art.

[0002] A mattress is intended to provide its user with a sleeping surface that can last for several years. However, their uses, depending on the preferences of their users, can vary, forcing them to replace their mattress on a recurring basis in order to meet their changing needs.

[0003] Furthermore, during conventional use, a mattress, in particular the upper part facing the user, is subject to accelerated wear, but is also subject to soiling caused, for example, by liquid accidentally spilled on the mattress.

[0004] It is known to address these problems to form a mattress assembly comprising a base in the lower part, not exposed to the user, and a mattress topper in the upper part, exposed to the user. The mattress can be easily changed according to the user's preferences, or when the mattress needs to be changed, particularly in the event of contamination in the hospital or geriatric field.

[0005] However, such an assembly has a major drawback, which is that of fixing the mattress to the bed base. Indeed, the fixing must make it possible to avoid the mattress moving relative to the mattress, in particular when a sleeping person makes a high number of movements, or even to avoid involuntary tearing caused by movements of people who may be very agitated, such as residents of psychiatric hospitals.

[0006] Fastening methods used today include zippers, hook and loop systems, hook and loop strips, and buttons.

[0007] Thus, the use of these connecting means requires precise positioning of the mattress connecting means on the bed base connecting means, resulting in a slow and tedious installation operation for the user.

[0008] Generally, in hospital environments, the mattress, subject to numerous contaminations, is protected by a safety fitted sheet which must be changed very regularly. Thus, it is necessary to be able to change this safety fitted sheet without affecting the integrity of the attachment between the mattress and the box spring.

[0009] Indeed, the means of attachment between the mattress and the mattress topper are of a nature to affect or even prevent the installation of a safety fitted sheet required in a hospital environment.

[0010] The invention therefore falls within this context and seeks to resolve all of the aforementioned drawbacks.

[0011] Thus, the invention seeks to make the use of a mattress set more easily protected and washable, whose installation is easier and whose fixing system is more efficient. Presentation of the invention.

[0012] The invention relates to a mattress assembly which is easy to install, reliable, and has an efficient fixing system to prevent any accidental tearing.

[0013] Another object of the invention is a mattress assembly that can be easily protected from contaminants in the hospital field.

[0014] For this purpose, a mattress assembly has been developed comprising a bed base and a mattress, said bed base and mattress each comprising a contact face comprising reversible connecting means, the contact face of the mattress coming opposite the contact face of the mattress topper and the reversible connecting means of the contact faces being arranged so as to cooperate with each other.

[0015] According to the invention, the connecting means of each contact face comprise at least one magnetic strip extending substantially along the entire length of said contact face, said magnetic strips being arranged on the contact faces so as to cooperate with each other to form at least one pair of magnetic strips.

[0016] Advantageously, a set of mattresses provided with this type of connecting means offers a larger attachment surface, and consequently more effective fixing, reducing the risks of involuntary tearing, which makes it possible, for example, to reduce the risks for users in the hospital sector.

[0017] In addition, such connecting means allow easy placement of the mattress on the bed base, which makes it easier to maintain the mattress, in particular to wash it. Indeed, these connecting means allow the mattress to be placed and removed from the bed base easily, since the user does not have to struggle to remove and place the mattress on the bed base.

[0018] In addition, having a magnetic strip as a means of connection between a box spring and mattress allows for easier production.

[0019] In a particular embodiment, the mattress is covered with a protective cover sheet against contaminants, in the hospital environment where mattresses are subject to accelerated wear.

[0020] In another embodiment, the mattress is covered with a suicide prevention safety fitted sheet.

[0021] Having such fixing means allows the installation of a fitted sheet safety without having to remove said fixing means, and consequently leads to an improvement in the lifespan of the assembly without affecting the fixing of the box spring and the mattress.

[0022] In a preferred embodiment, the connecting means of each contact face comprise at least three distinct magnetic strips, positioned substantially parallel to each other on said contact face.

[0023] Thus, the fixing of the mattress on the bed base is improved, allowing the reduction of the risks of tearing, while allowing the possibility of installing a protective or safety fitted sheet, without removing the connecting means.

[0024] In a particular embodiment, the magnetic strips are arranged, on each contact face, so that one magnetic strip is arranged in the center of the width of said contact face and the other two strips are arranged on either side of said centrally mounted pair.

[0025] As a result, this arrangement of the connecting means allows for a better distribution of the connecting forces between the mattress and the box spring, resulting in a reduction in the phenomenon of involuntary tearing of the mattress topper.

[0026] In a particular embodiment, each of said two other magnetic strips is arranged at an edge of said contact face.

[0027] According to another embodiment, only one of the two other magnetic strips is arranged at one edge of said contact face.

[0028] According to a preferred embodiment, the magnetic strips of a contact face are oriented in the direction of the contact face width.

[0029] According to another embodiment, the magnetic strips of a contact face are oriented in the direction of the length of the contact face.

[0030] In yet another embodiment, at least one magnetic strip of a contact face is oriented perpendicular to at least one magnetic strip.

[0031] Preferably, each of the box springs and mattresses comprises a central part made of foam, or any other material known to those skilled in the art in order to perform the mattress function, covered by a waterproof fabric, forming the contact face, and housings provided between the waterproof fabric and the central part, in which the reversible connecting means of this contact face are housed.

[0032] In a particular embodiment, the mattress set is composed of a mattress with a thickness of between 10 and 20 centimeters and a box spring with a thickness of between 25 and 50 centimeters.

[0033] Thus, such housings make it easier to align the connecting means, which allows for easier installation and fixing of the mattress on the bed base.

[0034] In a preferred embodiment, and in order to reduce the risks of tearing and wear of the mattress assembly, the housings are formed by sheaths provided on an inner face of the fabric, opposite the contact face.

[0035] In a particular embodiment, the connecting means are heat-sealed and / or glued to the inner face of the fabric in order to reduce the risks of involuntary tearing.

[0036] Preferably, the connecting means have a thickness of between 5 and 50 millimeters.

[0037] Thus, this thickness makes it possible to obtain sufficient bonding strength to reduce the risks of involuntary tearing while not deforming the entire mattress for the comfort of the user.

[0038] In a preferred embodiment, the assembly comprises at least one cushion comprising a contact face with the mattress and a contact face with the bed base, said contact faces each comprising reversible connecting means, said connecting means of each of the contact faces of the cushion comprising at least one magnetic strip, said contact faces of the cushion coming opposite a part of the contact face of the mattress and the contact face of the bed base, said magnetic strips of the contact faces of the cushion and of the faces of the mattress and the bed base are arranged so as to cooperate with each other to form at least one pair of magnetic strips.

[0039] Preferably, the cushion is arranged between the mattress and the bed base and at least one magnetic strip of the contact face of the cushion with the mattress cooperates with at least one magnetic strip of the contact face of the mattress, and at least one magnetic strip of the contact face of the cushion with the bed base cooperates with at least one magnetic strip of the contact face of the bed base.

[0040] In a particular embodiment, the cushion can be separated into two cushions independent of each other, connected to each other by reversible connecting means, such as a self-gripping strip.

[0041] In a particular embodiment, the mattress set comprises two cushions, said cushions are arranged one in an upper part of the bed base and mattress, called the head part and the other in a lower part of the bed base and mattress, called the foot part.

[0042] Thus, the presence of these two cushions makes it possible to raise the head and / or feet of a patient, while avoiding a risk of said cushions falling into the assembly. Brief description of the figures.

[0043] Other advantages and characteristics of the present invention are now described with the aid of examples which are purely illustrative and in no way limitative of the scope of the invention, and from the appended drawings, drawings in which the various figures represent:
