Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Clothing article comprising a knitted tubular part in knitted connection with a knitted pocket, and method of manufacturing such an article Technical field
[0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of clothing articles comprising a knitted tubular part in knitted connection with a knitted pocket, in particular said clothing articles are a leg sleeve or a sock.
[0002] The present invention also relates to the technical field of methods for manufacturing such articles of clothing. Prior art
[0003] In order to secure a device for protecting a limb or for measuring physiological data during the practice of a sport, for example a sensor for physiological data or a reinforcement for protecting the tibia, it is known to use a textile strip, for example approximately 8 cm wide, which is secured to the wearer's limb, for example the leg, using adhesive tape. An elastic thread is further sewn to the external face of the textile strip to hold the measuring device in place. The measuring device is thus placed inside a net formed in the elastic thread. The measuring device is thus visible from the outside of the textile strip, which may be considered unsightly. In addition, the measuring device can be hung up during the practice of a sport. The textile band is thick and heavy, and may be additionally superimposed on an item of clothing, for example a high football sock, which can be uncomfortable and hinder the evacuation of perspiration and heat.
[0004] Furthermore, the correct positioning of the textile band on the limb may be incorrectly performed, and the textile band may move during sport.
[0005] From one wearer to another, the positioning of the textile band is not reproducible, which requires specific analysis tools for processing the data collected during a sporting activity.
[0006] There is therefore a need to attach a device for protecting or measuring physiological data to a limb of a wearer, in particular the leg or arm, more particularly the leg, which is easy to position and in a reproducible and precise manner, easy to remove from the limb of the wearer, attached in an aesthetic manner, concealable and / or not visible during practice, light, breathable, and allowing reliable attachment to the limb of the wearer.
[0007] Physiological data may be, for example, but not limited to, heart rate, breathing amplitude, or even the amount of sweat. Statement of the invention
[0008] The present invention relates, according to a first aspect, to an article of clothing, in particular a sock or a leg warmer, comprising a knitted tubular part and a knitted pocket configured to house at least one object.
[0009] Typically: - the knitted pocket and said knitted tubular part are in knitted connection, - the knitted pocket comprises a knitted housing and a knitted opening for access to said knitted housing, - said knitted opening for access to said knitted housing comprises a first knitted edge A and a second knitted edge B, said first and second knitted edges A and B are opposite each other and each comprise rows of stitches knitted back and forth (A1, B1), - the knitted tubular part comprises an interior volume for receiving at least one part of the wearer's body, - and the knitted tubular part comprises a first row of circularly knitted stitches Cl which is adjacent to the first knitted edge A, the number of knitted stitches in at least one row of stitches (Al), chosen from said rows of back and forth knitted stitches (Al) of said first knitted edge A, is less than or equal to half the number of knitted stitches of said first row of circularly knitted stitches Cl.
[0010] Advantageously, the knitted pocket is of unitary knitted construction with the knitted tubular part.
[0011] Advantageously, the article of clothing is of unitary knitted construction.
[0012] This arrangement allows the knitted pocket to be correctly positioned at the same time as the knitted tubular part is positioned on the wearer's limb. When the user puts on the article of clothing for practicing a sport, and therefore positions the tubular part on a limb, for example the leg, the knitted pocket in knitted connection with the tubular part, is also correctly positioned and this in a reproducible and reliable manner.
[0013] Advantageously, the knitted pocket according to the invention comprises a knitted housing configured to receive a device for measuring physiological data and / or a device for protecting a limb of the wearer.
[0014] The integration of a pocket into the knitted tubular part by knitting, and its production entirely by knitting makes it possible to position the pocket correctly and therefore in a reproducible manner on the knitted tubular part by the program of knitting of the knitting machine unlike a pocket which would be reported by a seam with the possible manufacturing errors. In addition, the pocket being integrated by knitting in the tubular part, the knitted pocket is light, there are no excess thicknesses linked to the seams, which can be injurious by repeated friction on the wearer's limb, in particular during a sporting activity which exacerbates this phenomenon.
[0015] In addition, it is possible to easily adjust the size of the knitted pocket (its depth and width) according to the knitting program.
[0016] In one embodiment, the knitted pocket comprises a knitted housing comprising a knitted and closed bottom.
[0017] In one embodiment, the knitted housing extends outside the knitted tubular portion. In particular, the access opening to the knitted housing of the knitted pocket opens into the interior volume for receiving at least a portion of the body of the wearer of the knitted tubular portion. The wearer thus accesses the knitted housing through the interior volume of the knitted tubular portion.
[0018] In one embodiment, the knitted housing extends into the interior volume for receiving at least a portion of the body of the wearer of the knitted tubular portion. In particular, the access opening to the knitted housing of the knitted pocket opens to the outside of the knitted tubular portion. The wearer thus accesses the knitted housing from the outside of the knitted tubular portion.
[0019] Advantageously, the knitted housing is in knitted connection with the knitted tubular part only via the knitted access opening. The wearer can therefore freely arrange the knitted housing inside or outside the knitted tubular part.
[0020] Preferably, the knitted tubular part comprises an internal face opening directly into the interior volume of the knitted tubular part, and an external face oriented outside the knitted tubular part. In particular, the internal and external faces of the knitted tubular part are substantially opposite.
[0021] Advantageously, the knitted housing can therefore have any width and any height (or depth).
[0022] Preferably, the access opening to the knitted housing comprises first and second knitted edges facing each other and each comprising rows of stitches knitted back and forth.
[0023] Preferably, the knitted tubular portion comprises rows of circular knitted stitches.
[0024] Advantageously, the knitted tubular part and / or the knitted sock and / or the knitted leg warmer and / or the knitted arm sleeve, comprises one or more yarn(s), in particular one or more spun fiber yarn(s), and / or preferably one or more multifilament yarn(s), and / or one or more monofilament yarn(s).
[0025] The thread(s) may be in one or more materials chosen from the list comprising: polyesters, such as polyethylene terephthalate and polybutylene terephthalate, polyolefins, such as polypropylene and polyethylene, polyacrylics, polyamides, such as polyamide 6-6 or 6, cotton, viscose, linen, etc.
[0026] In particular, the knitted pocket is a knitted heel pocket, more particularly having a generally substantially trapezoidal shape.
[0027] Preferably, the knitted tubular portion comprises a longitudinal axis L extending between its proximal and distal ends, and a transverse axis T extending between the medial and lateral sides of the knitted tubular portion, in particular the axis T is secant to the axis L, more particularly T and L are substantially perpendicular. Definitions
[0028] In particular, a back and forth knitted portion or rows knitted back and forth is / are also referred to in the prior art as being knitted back and forth, more particularly as opposed to a portion or row knitted in the round or circularly.
[0029] A circularly knitted portion or a circularly knitted row comprises rows of stitches that are knitted in the round. We therefore always knit on the same side (wrong side or right side). As opposed to knitting back and forth, we knit the right side for example and then on the wrong side in return.
[0030] The article of clothing according to the invention may be a sock, in particular for practicing a sport. The sock comprises a knitted portion for housing a foot in knitted connection with the knitted tubular portion. The height of the knitted tubular portion varies according to the application of the article of clothing. The article of clothing may be a sock covering part of the leg or completely the leg, and possibly extending above the knee onto the thigh.
[0031] The article of clothing may be a leg sleeve or leg warmer comprising first and second open knitted tubular ends.
[0032] The article of clothing may be an arm sleeve comprising first and second open knitted tubular ends.
[0033] It is understood by the knitted pocket is of unitary knitted construction with the knitted tubular part that the knitted pocket and the knitted tubular part are in a single knitted piece obtained by knitting.
[0034] It is understood by the article of clothing is of unitary knitted construction that the article of clothing is in a single knitted piece obtained by knitting.
[0035] It is understood by the first, respectively the second, edge of the access opening to the knitted housing comprises rows of knitted stitches that the latter comprises two or more rows of knitted stitches knitted back and forth. Advantageously, the first, respectively the second, knitted edge is the region knitted back and forth bordering the access opening to said knitted housing.
[0036] In one variant, the knitted housing of the knitted pocket is arranged in the interior receiving volume of the knitted tubular part.
[0037] This arrangement is preferred because it allows the knitted housing to be hidden from the outside by the knitted tubular part, and to press and hold the housing against the wearer's limb by the knitted tubular part. The measuring or protection device is thus invisible from the outside and protected from the outside when practicing a sporting activity.
[0038] In addition, the measuring or protection device is closer to the wearer's body, which makes it easier to collect physiological data or protect the body. The device is also better held against the wearer's body and is less likely to come out unexpectedly when practicing a sport from the housing.
[0039] In a variant, the knitted housing comprises a first knitted panel and a second knitted panel, in particular substantially facing each other, the first knitted panel extends substantially between said first knitted edge A and a first end region, the second knitted panel extends substantially between said second knitted edge B and a second end region, and the first and second knitted end regions are adjacent and in knitted connection, in particular are directly in knitted connection with each other.
[0040] Preferably, the first and second knitted end regions are merged into a main knitted end region.
[0041] Preferably, the first knitted panel comprises left and right edges and the second knitted panel comprises left and right edges which are in knitted connection respectively with the left and right edges of the first knitted panel.
[0042] Preferably, the first and second knitted end regions form the knitted closed bottom of the knitted housing.
[0043] In one variant, the first knitted panel has a substantially trapezoidal shape and the second knitted panel has a substantially trapezoidal shape, and the left and right edges of the first knitted panel are in knitted connection respectively with the left and right edges of the second knitted panel.
[0044] Advantageously, the knitted pocket is a knitted heel pocket.
[0045] In one embodiment, the knitted housing comprises left and right knitted joining zones (notably designated in the prior art by gore lines) joining the left and right edges respectively of the first and second knitted panels, in particular at least one of said joining zones comprises one or more through openings, more particularly having at least one dimension greater than or equal to 1 mm.
[0046] Advantageously, the “gore lines” allow the measuring or protection device to be held perfectly in the pocket, and prevent it from moving in the knitted pocket.
[0047] Since the left and right edges of the knitted housing are formed by knitting, it is possible to form joining zones without visible through openings or on the other hand with visible through openings according to the selected stitch patterns.
[0048] In one variant, the housing has a generally trapezoidal shape.
[0049] Advantageously, the knitted housing is a knitted heel pocket having a generally trapezoidal shape.
[0050] This arrangement promotes the maintenance of a measuring or protection device in the knitted pocket, and in a progressive manner.
[0051] In a variant, the first knitted panel of the knitted housing has a depth and a width substantially equal respectively to the depth and the width of the second knitted panel.
[0052] In a variant, the first knitted panel is symmetrical to the second knitted panel with respect to: a transverse axis passing through the first and second end regions, or passing through the transverse axis of folding of the second knitted panel onto the first knitted panel.
[0053] In a variant, the knitted tubular part comprises a knitted tubular portion which can be folded at least over the access opening to said housing so as to cover said access opening to said housing.

[0055] This arrangement prevents the device placed in the pocket from possibly coming out of the latter, conceals the access opening from the outside, and improves the protection of the device.
[0056] Advantageously, the foldable knitted tubular portion is arranged so as to pass from a first position in which it is not folded to a second position in which it is folded against the knitted tubular part so as to cover the access opening to the housing of the knitted pocket.
[0057] In a variant, the knitted tubular part comprises a second row of circularly knitted stitches C2 which is adjacent to the second knitted edge B, and at least one row of stitches (B1) chosen from the rows of circularly knitted stitches back and forth of said second knitted edge B, the number of stitches knitted in said at least one row of back and forth knitted stitches (Bl) of said second knitted edge B is less than or equal to half the number of stitches knitted in said second row of circularly knitted stitches C2, and said access opening to said knitted housing is arranged between the first and second rows of circularly knitted stitches C1 and C2.
[0058] Advantageously, the knitted pocket is knitted with rows of stitches knitted back and forth, said pocket being arranged between rows of stitches knitted circularly.
[0059] In one embodiment, the height between the circular rows C1 and C2, in particular measured along the longitudinal axis L of the knitted tubular portion, is less than or equal to 20 mm, preferably less than or equal to 15 mm, more preferably greater than or equal to 0 mm.
[0060] In one embodiment, the number of rows of stitches between the circular rows C1 and C2 is greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 10, in particular less than or equal to 5.
[0061] In a variant, the number of stitches (app) in a row of stitches of the first knitted edge A is greater than the number of stitches (bpp) in a row of stitches of the first end region, in particular the number bpp is less than or equal to 0.50 * app.
[0062] In a variant, the number of stitches (cpp) in a row of stitches of the second knitted edge B is greater than the number of stitches (dpp) in a row of stitches of the second end region, in particular the number dpp is less than or equal to 0.50 * CPP *
[0063] In a variant, the number of stitches (kl) of any row of stitches (ni) knitted in the first knitted panel is greater than or equal to the number of stitches (pl) in a row of stitches (ni”), the numbers ni, pl, ni” and kl are integers and different from 0, and the row of stitches (ni”) is arranged between the row of stitches (ni) and the first end region.
[0064] Advantageously, the first panel is knitted by reducing - or increasing depending on the knitting direction of the knitted tubular portion - the number of stitches per row of knitted stitches, in particular every two or more rows of stitches.
[0065] In a variant, the number of stitches (p2) of any row of stitches (n2) knitted in the second knitted panel is greater than or equal to the number of stitches (k2) in a row of stitches (n2”), the numbers n2, n2”, p2 and k2 being integers and different from 0, and the row of stitches (n2”) is arranged between the row of stitches (n2) and the second end region.
[0066] Advantageously, the second panel is knitted by increasing - or decreasing depending on the knitting direction of the knitted tubular portion - the number of stitches per row of knitted stitches, in particular every two or more rows of stitches.

[0070] Advantageously, the knitted tubular part comprises two openings: a first opening surrounding the leg and a second opening surrounding the ankle.
[0071] The height of the tubular part depends on the height of the leg that you wish to cover.
[0072] The article may comprise a securing member, for example a fastening strip, making it possible to secure the knitted distal region to the wearer's foot, in particular said securing member is configured to pass under the wearer's foot.
[0073] This securing member allows the knitted distal region to be tensioned on the lower leg and prevents the latter from rising up the leg.
[0074] In a variant, said article is a sock, and said article comprises a knitted foot-accommodating portion in knitted connection with the knitted tubular portion configured to cover all or part of the leg, and the knitted proximal region comprises a foot-insertion opening comprising at least one row of circularly knitted stitches C3.
[0075] In a variant, the knitted tubular part comprises a posterior region and an anterior region arranged on either side of a plane passing through a frontal section of said knitted tubular part, said pocket being arranged, in particular entirely, in the posterior region or in the anterior region.

[0081] Advantageously, the knitted pocket is arranged in a determined location along the height of the knitted tubular part, with a width and depth also determined during the knitting of the pocket. This arrangement makes it possible to obtain an article with an integrated pocket without seams and arranged according to the final application without an additional finishing step after knitting.
[0082] In an alternative embodiment, the knitted housing is freely arranged in the interior volume of the knitted tubular part.
[0083] Advantageously, the knitted pocket is in knitted connection with the tubular part only at the level of the knitted access opening, and therefore of the first and second knitted edges A and B of said opening.
[0084] Advantageously, the knitted housing comprises a knitted bottom which is freely arranged in the interior volume of the tubular part, in particular which is not integral with the knitted tubular part receiving all or part of the leg or the knitted tubular part forming a housing for the foot.
[0085] The present invention relates, according to a second aspect, to a device for practicing sport comprising an article of clothing according to any one of the variant embodiments with reference to the first aspect of the invention, and further comprising a device for protecting a limb of the wearer or a device for measuring physiological data of the wearer, said protection or measurement device being configured to be arranged in a removable manner in said pocket of the article of clothing.

The knitted tubular part 30 comprises a knitted tubular portion 38 foldable at least over the access opening 60 to said housing 50 so as to hide said access opening 60.
[0125] Advantageously, the knitted tubular part 30 comprises a posterior region 30b and an anterior region 30a arranged on either side of a plane P passing through a frontal section of said knitted tubular part 30. The sock 10 is preferably intended to receive a shin protection device, called a shingard, in the housing 50. The pocket 40 is thus in this example arranged entirely in the anterior region 30a, but could be arranged entirely in the posterior region 30b depending on the application envisaged or a combination of the two.
[0126] Preferably, the knitted housing 50 comprises a first knitted panel 52 and a second knitted panel 56, substantially superimposed. The first knitted panel 52 extends substantially between said first knitted edge (A, 62) and a first end region 64, and the second knitted panel 56 extends substantially between said second knitted edge (B, 66) and a second end region 68, the first and second knitted end regions (64, 68) are adjacent and in knitted connection.
[0127] Advantageously, the first and second knitted panels (52, 56) each have a substantially trapezoidal shape and the left and right edges (53, 54) of the first knitted panel 52 are in knitted connection respectively with the left and right edges (57, 58) of the second knitted panel (56). The housing 50 therefore has a substantially trapezoidal general shape.
[0128] The sock 10 is advantageously knitted by a manufacturing method comprising the following steps, and in particular the knitting steps of which are carried out on the same circular knitting machine:
[0129] - a step of circular knitting (i) of the knitted tubular part 30 comprising a interior volume for receiving at least part of the wearer's body on a circular knitting machine; and - a step of knitting (ii) the knitted pocket 40 configured to accommodate at least one object; - a step of connecting by knitting (iii) the knitted pocket 40 to said knitted tubular part 30, - the knitting step (ii) comprises knitting a knitted housing 50 and the knitted access opening 60 to said knitted housing 50.
[0130] In particular, the method firstly comprises the circular knitting of the proximal portion 35 delimiting the opening for introducing the foot 11 up to the second row of circular stitches (C2, 33) comprising a number of knitted stitches j, then the method comprises the knitting of the knitted pocket 40 with rows of stitches knitted back and forth. The knitted pocket 40 is knitted in a manner similar to a “heel” pocket. Thus, a portion of the needles of the knitting machine supporting stitches of the row of stitches (C2, 33) are put on hold to knit the knitted pocket 40 back and forth on the needles not put on hold. The width of the access opening 60 thus corresponds to the number of stitches knitted and not put on hold. The second edge B,66 is thus knitted and then extended by the second knitted panel 56 knitted back and forth, gradually reducing the number of stitches per row of stitches knitted up to the second end region 68.
[0131] The number of stitches (p2) of any row of stitches (n2) knitted in the second knitted panel 56 is greater than or equal to the number of stitches (k2) in a row of stitches (n2”), the numbers n2, n2”, p2 and k2 being integers and different from 0, and the row of stitches (n2”) is arranged between the row of stitches (n2) and the second end region 68. The first knitted panel 52 is then knitted from the second knitted panel 56, in particular from the first end region 64, by progressively increasing the number of stitches per row of stitches knitted back and forth until the first knitted edge A, 62. Advantageously, as the first knitted panel 52 is knitted, the left and right edges 53, 54 of the first knitted panel 52 are joined by knitting respectively to the left and right edges 57,58 of the second knitted panel 56. Finally, the first knitted panel 52 is finished by knitting and then the stitches on hold and the stitches of the first knitted edge A,62 are knitted circularly to knit the row of stitches Cl,32.
[0132] The number of stitches (kl) of any row of stitches (ni”) knitted in the first knitted panel 52 is greater than or equal to the number of stitches (pl) in a row of stitches (ni), the numbers ni, ni”, pl and kl being integers and different from 0, and the row of stitches (ni”) is arranged between the row of stitches (ni) and the first end region 64.
[0133] Advantageously, the number of stitches (app) in the row of stitches 63 of the first knitted edge A,62 is greater than the number of stitches (bpp) in a row of stitches of the first end region 64, in particular the number bpp is less than or equal to 0.50 * app.
[0134] The number of stitches (cpp) in the row of stitches 67 of the second knitted edge B,66 is greater than the number of stitches (dpp) in a row of stitches of the second end region 68, in particular the number dpp is less than or equal to 0.50 * cpp.
[0135] The circular knitting of the tubular portion 30 is then continued, followed by the knitting of the knitted foot-accommodating portion 20, which is therefore in knitted connection with the knitted tubular portion 30 at the level of the knitted distal region 36. The knitted foot-accommodating portion 20 advantageously comprises a knitted heel pocket 13 configured to receive the wearer's heel. This knitted heel pocket 13 preferably has a substantially trapezoidal general shape.
[0136] The knitted sock 10 as shown in [Fig.l] is obtained at the outlet of the circular knitting machine. The knitted pocket 40 arranged between the proximal and distal regions (35, 36) of the knitted tubular part 30 is foldable into the interior volume 31 of the tubular part 30 so that the knitted access opening 60 is visible and accessible from the outside of the sock 10 as shown in [Fig.2]. Advantageously, the access opening 60 is sufficiently far from the foot insertion opening 11 to provide the tubular portion 38 which is foldable over said access opening 60 in order to conceal it from the outside.
[0137] Advantageously, the knitted tubular portion 38 is foldable and is arranged to move from a first position shown in [Fig.2] in which the access opening 60 is not concealed by said foldable tubular portion 38, to a second position shown in [Fig.3] in which the access opening 60 is concealed by the foldable tubular portion 38 and in a folded position.
[0138] The knitted sock comprising the knitted pocket 40 is thus advantageously of unitary knitted construction. This arrangement facilitates the manufacturing process of the sock but also makes it possible to correctly and precisely position the pocket. on the height and circumference of the tubular part. The protection device 45 (or possibly measuring device) placed in the pocket is thus placed in a reproducible and correct manner from one user to another, and for the same user.
[0139] The knitted pocket 40 is advantageously connected to the tubular part 30 only at the first and second knitted edges A and B (62, 66). The knitted housing 50 is thus freely arranged in the interior volume 31. In addition, its width Ip and its height hp can vary and are determined during knitting. These coupled arrangements improve the comfort of the wearer and facilitate the placement of the protective device, for example the shin guard in the housing.
[0140] In a variant, the knitted sock 10 can be knitted from its distal region 36 to its proximal region 35. In this case, the knitted foot housing portion 20 is first knitted, then the distal region 36 of the tubular portion 30 is knitted up to the row of stitches C1, then the first edge A, 62 is knitted, after putting a certain number of stitches on hold, the housing 50 is knitted and ends with the second knitted edge B, 66, the knitted tubular portion 30 is then knitted circularly by taking up the stitches left on hold, by knitting the row C2, 33 circularly up to the proximal region 35 and the foot insertion opening 11.
[0141] Figures 5 to 7 show a second example of an article of clothing 100 according to the invention which is a sock 112 comprising a knitted tubular portion 130 in knitted connection with a knitted foot-accommodating portion 120. The sock 112 differs from the sock 12 by the dimensions of the knitted pocket 140, said pocket 140 being less wide and less high than the pocket 40. The sock 112 also comprises a portion 138 of the tubular portion 130 which is configured to move from a first position shown in [Fig. 6] not folded to a second position shown in [Fig. 7] in which the portion 138 is folded over the access opening 160 of the pocket 140. The knitted pocket 140 is advantageously sized to receive a device 145 for measuring at least one physiological datum.
[0142] [Fig.8] represents a third example of an article of clothing 200 according to the invention which is a leg warmer 212 comprising a knitted tubular portion 230 comprising two open ends: a foot insertion opening 211 and a foot exit opening 270. The tubular portion 230 and the knitted pocket 240 are similar to the tubular portion 30 and the knitted pocket 40 respectively. The tubular portion 230 comprises a knitted pocket 240 comprising a knitted access opening 260 to a knitted housing 250. The knitted tubular portion 230 extends between the proximal region 235, disposed near the foot insertion opening 211, and a distal region 236, disposed near the foot exit opening 270. The leg warmer 212 further optionally comprises a means for securing the tubular portion 230 to the foot, such as an elastic band 280, two ends of which are secured to the edge of the outlet opening 270. The elastic band 280 is thus configured to be placed under the user's foot and facilitates holding the tubular part 230 in place on the leg. Advantageously, the knitted pocket 240 is arranged to house a shin guard in a fitted manner.
[0143] It is understood that the tubular part 30, 130 or 230 may be adapted to form an arm sleeve, for example the tubular part 230 may not include the elastic band 280 or include a securing means adapted to secure the tubular part to the user's hand.
[0144] Advantageously, the dimensions of the knitted pockets 40, 140 and 240 are adapted to match the dimensions of the protection or measuring device intended to be placed in said pockets. This arrangement makes it possible to maintain the protection device in position in the pocket without arranging a securing means for securing the protection or measuring device to said pocket. The clothing items are thus light, ergonomic and comfortable.
