[0001] The present invention relates to a wall element intended to cover an opening formed in a wall of a building, and such that the wall element is invisible from the interior of the building. Technical background
[0002] Many wall elements such as frames supporting sliding windows exist. Such wall elements then make it possible to cover an opening formed in a wall, for example in a dwelling, in order to insulate it thermally and / or acoustically and / or sound-proof. Particularly in the case where the frame is intended to support a sliding window type, it is essential that the wall element allows the passage of light.
[0003] Despite the presence of numerous wall elements on the market, these have substantially identical functionalities and increasingly complex assemblies.
[0004] Thus, there is a real need to propose new alternatives to existing wall elements in order to offer a device that is both simple in its design and installation but also aesthetic and modular.
[0005] Furthermore, the device proposed by the invention offers new functionalities to wall elements intended to cover an opening formed in a wall by not being limited solely to thermal, acoustic and sound insulation type functions.

[0024] For the description of the invention and the understanding of the claims, the vertical, longitudinal and transverse orientations according to the V, L, T reference frame indicated in the figures will be adopted as a non-limiting example and without limiting reference to the Earth's gravity. figures whose longitudinal L and transverse T axes extend in a horizontal plane. By convention, the longitudinal L axis is oriented from back to front.
[0025] In the following description, identical, similar or analogous elements will be designated by the same reference numbers.
[0026] [Fig.l] illustrates an assembly 10 comprising a wall 12 provided with an opening 14 and a wall element 16.
[0027] The wall 12 may be that of a dwelling and makes it possible to define an internal space 18 within the dwelling. The opening 14 then allows the passage of light into the internal space 18 of the dwelling, otherwise called the living space.
[0028] The wall element 16 comprises at least one frame 20 in which at least one sliding element 22 extends, here a first sliding element 22a, a second sliding element 22b and a third sliding element 22c. The sliding elements 22 are in particular capable of sliding transversely in the frame 20.
[0029] It should also be considered that, in a non-limiting and not illustrated manner, the frame could in particular be configured in such a way that the sliding elements are able to slide vertically in the latter.
[0030] According to the example of the invention illustrated, and in a non-limiting manner, the first sliding 22a is a window, the second sliding 22b is a shutter, and the third sliding 22c is a trim.
[0031] Thus, with respect to the internal space 18 of the dwelling, the sliding panels 22 are superimposed in such a way that the second sliding panel 22b covers the first sliding panel 22a and the third sliding panel 22c covers the second sliding panel 22b.
[0032] As visible in [Fig.l], each of the sliders 22 has a rectangular shape delimited by four edges 24. In particular, vertical edges 24a of the sliders 22 will be defined, opposite one another in the vertical direction V, and lateral edges 24b of the sliders 22 opposite one another in the transverse direction T.
[0033] The frame 20 according to the example of the invention illustrated comprises four frames 26 delimiting a receiving and sliding space for each of the sliding frames 22. Two vertical frames 26a opposite each other in the vertical direction V and two lateral frames 26b opposite each other in the transverse direction T and connecting the vertical frames 26a to each other are then defined.
[0034] It is then understood that the vertical frames 26a are configured to receive the vertical edges 24a of each of the sliding frames 22 and that the lateral frames 26b are configured to receive the lateral edges 24b of the sliding frames 22.
[0035] As seen in Figures 1, 2, 4 and 6, the sleepers 26 are arranged against the wall 12 in such a way that the frame 20 extends around the opening 14, without it being able to be visible from the internal space 18, through the opening 14.
[0036] Thus, each of the sleepers 26 extends at a non-zero distance from an edge 28 delimiting the opening 14.
[0037] More precisely, the vertical sleepers 26a extend at a vertical distance DV, visible in [Fig.4], between 10mm and 100mm relative to the vertical edge 28 which delimits the opening 14 in the vertical direction V and the lateral sleepers 26b extend at a lateral distance DL, visible in [Fig.2], between 10mm and 100mm relative to the transverse edge 28 which delimits the opening 14 in the transverse direction T.
[0038] More specifically, and in relation to [Fig.2], the frame 20 is configured to extend transversely over a greater lateral distance DL on a transverse side of the opening 14.
[0039] More particularly, the frame 20 is configured such that the sliders 22 are movable in translation between a position covering the opening 14, visible in part A of [Fig. 2], and a position uncovering the opening 14, visible in part C of [Fig. 2], the sliders 22 being configured to be entirely outside a perimeter of the opening 14 in their uncovered position.
[0040] Thus, the frame 20 according to the example of the invention illustrated delimits an uncovering zone 31, transversely adjacent to the opening 14 and configured to receive the sliding elements 22 in their uncovering position and in such a way that they are invisible through the opening 14.
[0041] In the remainder of the description, the structural and functional characteristics of exemplary embodiments of a frame 26 will be described, but it is understood that these characteristics can apply to several frames 26 of the frame.
[0042] The frame 26 visible in Figures 4 and 6, comprises a fixing support 30 for the wall 12. More particularly, the fixing support 30 of the frame 26 is configured such that the frame 20 extends entirely outside the opening 14 of the wall 12, as can be seen in [Fig.l] and in Figures 4 and 6. In other words, the fixing support 30 of the frame 26 according to the example of the invention is imperceptible through the opening 14. In other words, the fixing support 30 of the frame 26 extends entirely outside the opening 14 of the wall 12.
[0043] The fixing support 30 of the frame 26 according to the example of the invention illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 6 takes the form of a plate 32 comprising a contact face 34 intended to be arranged against the wall 12, and a fixing face 36, opposite the contact face 34 in the longitudinal direction L.
[0044] Wall fixing holes, not visible here, then pass longitudinally through the plate 32. Furthermore, a fixing member 38 having, among other things, grooves 39, projects longitudinally from the fixing face 36 of the plate 32.
[0045] Furthermore, the fixing member 38 here takes the form of a slide in which two longitudinally projecting elements 35 delimit a space 43 for receiving attachment members 41 of another element of the frames 26. It is also understood that the grooves 39 are formed on the projecting elements 35 of the fixing member 38.
[0046] The fixing member 38 may also comprise a structure reinforced by a mesh as visible in FIGS. 4 and 6. More particularly, the two projecting elements 35 have a mesh structure.
[0047] According to another example of the fixing support 30 visible in [Fig. 8], the projecting elements 35 of the fixing member 38 comprise edges 45 projecting vertically, at the periphery of the receiving space 43 of the attachment members 41, such that the fixing member 38 has a toothed profile as visible in [Fig. 8],
[0048] It should also be considered that this embodiment of the fixing support 30 applies to the vertical sleepers of the frame.
[0049] Thus, the flanges 45 project vertically from one end of each of the projecting elements 35 in an alternating manner. In other words, the flanges 45 extend alternately on one or the other of the projecting elements 35 in the vertical direction V and in such a way as to form upper flanges 45a and lower flanges 45b, opposite in the vertical direction V.
[0050] The advantage of such a configuration of the fixing member 38 of the fixing support 30 of [Fig.8] will be detailed later in the rest of the detailed description.
[0051] The fixing support 30 can be secured to the wall 12 by screwing through the fixing holes, for example via hammer-in anchors or the like. It should also be considered that the fixing support 30 can be secured by any other means in a non-limiting manner, as long as this ensures optimal securing of the fixing support to the wall.
[0052] As seen in Figures 4 and 6, the frame 26 comprises an intermediate element 40, integral with the fixing support 30.
[0053] More precisely, the intermediate element 40 comprises at least one arm 42 which extends towards the fixing support 30 and comprising a rib 44 capable of cooperating with at least one of the grooves 39 of the fixing member 38 of the fixing support 30.
[0054] The intermediate element 40 also comprises the hooking members 41 mentioned above and capable of cooperating with the fixing member 38 of the fixing support 30 mentioned above. It is understood in particular that the hooking members 41 are capable of being housed in the receiving space 43 of the fixing member 38 and so as to slide in the slide, along the projecting elements 35, during the assembly of the frame 26.
[0055] According to the example of the fixing member 38 of [Fig. 8] described previously, the hooking members 41 are configured to cooperate with the fixing member 38 firstly by a longitudinal translation in the receiving space 43, at the level of one of the lower edges 45b, so that the hooking members 41 are housed in the receiving space 43 of the fixing member 38, then by a transverse sliding of the hooking members 41 along the lower edges 45b, and until the hooking members 41 are housed between two lower edges 45b, so as to be locked in position in the receiving space 43 of the fixing member 38.
[0056] In other words, the transverse sliding of the intermediate element 40 moves the hooking members 41 in transverse translation until the latter fall vertically between two lower edges 45b and opposite one of the upper edges 45a. The hooking members 41 are then locked in position in the slide formed by the fixing member 38.
[0057] The intermediate element 40 may be made, for example, of a thermally insulating material.
[0058] The intermediate element 40 further comprises a fixing tenon 46 projecting, here longitudinally, opposite the fixing support 30. The fixing tenon 46 allows, for example, fixing by dovetail with a covering portion 48 of the frame.
[0059] The covering portion 48 has a profiled shape, here longitudinally, and comprises at least one main body 50 comprising at least one upper wall 52 and one connecting wall 54.
[0060] The upper wall 52 extends in particular in a plane intersecting the plate 32 of the fixing support 30 and the connecting wall 54 defines a trapezoidal housing 56 of a shape complementary to the tenon 46 for fixing the intermediate element 40 so as to form the dovetail fixing between the intermediate element 40 and the covering portion 48.
[0061] According to the example of the invention illustrated, a covering wall 58 extends between the free end of the upper wall 52 and the connecting wall 54, such that it connects them.
[0062] According to a characteristic of the example of the invention illustrated, the covering portion 48 is configured such that it completely covers the fixing support 30 when the latter is secured to the wall. Thus, it is understood that the covering portion 48 has vertical and transverse dimensions at least equal to or greater than the fixing support 30.
[0063] It is then understood that in the covering portion 48 extends vertically and transversely over a dimension at least equal to or greater than the plate 32 of the associated fixing support 30.
[0064] Thus, in a front view of the wall element 16 along the longitudinal direction L, when it is secured to the wall 12, only the covering portions 48 are visible.
[0065] Advantage is taken of the frame 26 as just described, on the one hand in that the fixing supports 30 can comprise for example screws and other unsightly elements which are then camouflaged by the covering portion 48, and on the other hand in that the mounting of the covering portions 48 as just described facilitates accessibility to the fixing support 30 for example for maintenance operations of the wall element.
[0066] It should also be considered that the frame 26 could comprise only the fixing support 30 and the covering portion 48 fixed to each other by the dovetail fixing or any other fixing means allowing the sliding fixing of one in the other. For example and in a non-limiting manner, the covering portion is fixed to the fixing support by cooperation between the slide-shaped fixing member described previously, with or without the upper and lower edges, and the hooking members carried directly by the covering portion in a manner similar to that described for the intermediate portion.
[0067] According to another non-limiting example of the invention, the covering portion is fixed to the fixing support by screwing from the inside of the frame.
[0068] According to another example of the invention not illustrated, the sleepers can be single-piece. The sleepers can also be fixed to the wall from the inside of the frame so that the screws are inaccessible once the sliding parts are in the covering position. The fixing can be carried out for example with through screws or not and for example via hammer-in anchors.
[0069] According to a non-limiting example of the invention, the frame 20 is configured such that one of the lateral frames 26b blocks the other frames of the frame in position.
[0070] More particularly, and according to a non-limiting example of the invention, the two vertical frames 26a and one of the lateral frames 26b are in accordance with one of the embodiments described above and are installed against the wall by sliding as described above and the last lateral frame 26, hereinafter called the locking frame 27, is positioned against the wall solely by longitudinal translation.
[0071] For example and as visible in [Fig.9], the locking frame 27, used to lock the other frames 26 of the frame in position, is formed from the fixing support 30 secured to the wall by screwing and the covering portion 48 secured to the fixing portion 30 by screwing.
[0072] In such a configuration of the locking frame 27, the fixing support 30 has an L-shape housing the covering portion 48 and such that the covering portion 48 completely covers the fixing support 30.
[0073] In order to facilitate the mounting of the covering portion 48 on the fixing support 30, keying means may be formed on the latter in order to ensure the correct position of the covering portion on the fixing support.
[0074] According to an advantageous embodiment of the locking frame 27, the screwing of the covering portion of the locking frame 27 onto the fixing support 30 is carried out from the inside of the frame so that the screws are inaccessible once the sliding parts are in the covering position.
[0075] Such a configuration of the locking frame 27 is advantageous in that its attachment to the wall is secure once the sliding elements are in the covering position so that it cannot be separated from the wall from the outside. The entire frame is then securely attached to the wall when the sliding elements are in the covering position.
[0076] In order to allow the translation of the sliders within the frame, the covering portions 48 of the vertical frames 26a comprise a sliding device 60 for each of the sliders 22.
[0077] According to a first example of the invention visible in figures 4 and 5, the sliding device 60 of each of the sliders 22 comprises a raised edge 62 on which at least one wheel 64 is arranged.
[0078] More precisely, the upper wall 52 of each of the covering portions 48 of the vertical sleepers comprises three raised edges 62, housing a plurality of rollers 64 in their thickness. The raised edges 62 are then spaced longitudinally from each other by a non-zero distance.
[0079] Thus, according to this first example of the invention, the vertical edges of each of the sliding members 22 are configured to slide along the sliding devices 60 associated with each of the vertical frames 26a.
[0080] More precisely, the vertical edges of each of the sliding members 22 comprise a peripheral recess 66 configured to receive the raised edge 62 and the rollers 64 of the sliding devices 60 of the vertical frames 26a.
[0081] According to a second example of the invention visible in figures 6 and 7, the sliding device 60 of each of the sliders 22 comprises the raised edges 62 formed in the upper wall 52 of the covering portion 48 and on each of which at least one roller carriage 68 engages, here two roller carriages 68.
[0082] Thus in the example of the invention illustrated, the upper wall 52 of each of the covering portions 48 of the vertical slides 22a comprises the three raised edges 62 on which two roller carriages 68 slide respectively.
[0083] The roller trolleys 68 comprise two walls 70 delimiting at least one receiving space 72 for the rollers and a receiving zone 74 for one of the vertical edges of each of the slides, the receiving space 72 and the receiving zone 74 being strictly distinct from each other.
[0084] Thus it is understood that the receiving space 72 of the rollers is configured to house the raised edge 62 with which it is associated and that the receiving zone 74 of one of the vertical edges of the associated sliding element 22 is configured to house one of the vertical edges of said sliding element 22.
[0085] More precisely, in this example of the invention, the vertical edges of each of the slides 22 comprise thinned portions 76 intended to be housed in the reception zones 74 of the roller trolleys 68.
[0086] The term “thinned portion 76 of the vertical edges” means a portion having a thickness taken in the longitudinal direction L less than a longitudinal thickness of the sliding element 22, outside the thinned portion 76.
[0087] Thus it is understood that each vertical edge of each of the slides 22 comprises two thinned portions 76, transversely opposite one another, so as to be housed in two separate roller carriages 68.
[0088] Thus, a first longitudinal thickness ELI of the roller carriages 68 and a second longitudinal thickness EL2 of the sliders 22 are defined, outside their thinned portions 76, the first thickness ELI and the second thickness EL2 being substantially identical.
[0089] In addition, the walls 70 of the roller trolleys 68 extend in the extension of the sliders 22.
[0090] Thus, advantage is taken of such a configuration of the sliders 22 carried by the roller carriages 68 ensuring their sliding in translation between the frames 26, in that it makes it possible to maintain a minimum thickness of the sliders 22 and of the sliding device 60 ensuring their sliding.
[0091] According to an example of the invention visible in [Fig.4] and 6, the upper wall 52 of the covering portions 48 extends in a transverse plane T and longitudinal plane L having an angle between 89° and 60° relative to the plate 32 of the fixing support 30.
[0092] Such a feature is advantageous in that it allows a fluid, for example rain, to be evacuated outside the sleepers 26 by guiding the fluid away from the fixing support 30. End gutters may in particular be provided to allow the fluid to be evacuated outside the sleepers.
[0093] It is further understood that during the translational movement of the sliders 22 along the vertical frames 26a as seen in [Fig.2], the lateral frames 26b form a translational stop for the sliders 22.
[0094] According to an example of the invention visible in figures 1 and 3, the third sliding 22c forming the hubcap may comprise a lumen in which extends a plate 80 configured to pivot about an axis of rotation R in the lumen.
[0095] In the example illustrated, the plate 80 pivots around a vertical rotation axis R V defined by two lugs 82 each projecting from one of the vertical edges 24a of the third slider 22c, into the light.
[0096] It should also be considered that the axis of rotation R of the plate 80 could also be transverse T. In addition, the third slider could comprise more than one light associated with a pivoting plate. In addition, it is possible, for example, to provide a light associated with several pivoting plates in the light.
[0097] The tray 80 of the third slider 22c can then include openings 84 for fixing accessories such as flower pots or other elements.
[0098] Thus, it is understood that when the first sliding 22a and the second sliding 22b are in the uncovered position, as visible in part C of [Fig.2], the third sliding 22c in its uncovered position has the function of camouflaging them and in its covered position allows the tray 80 to be pivoted through the opening 14 of the wall 12, as visible in [Fig.3]. It is thus possible to integrate the accessories carried by the tray into the interior space of the dwelling without having to detach them from the tray, for example to use them inside the living space of the dwelling or in the event of weather constraints.
[0099] Furthermore, it should be considered that the sliding doors may comprise invisible gripping means housed directly in the thickness of the latter and facing the internal space of the dwelling. In this way, the gripping means are invisible and are only accessible from the inside of the dwelling.
[0100] According to another example of the invention visible in [Fig.10], each of the sliding parts 22 can be made in two parts.
[0101] More particularly, in the embodiment of [Fig. 10], the frame 20 delimits two uncovering zones 31 on either side of the opening 14 in the transverse direction T. Thus, it is understood that each of the two parts of the sliding elements 22 is configured to slide transversely in overlapping of one of the uncovering zones 31 delimited by the frame 20. It should also be considered that the structural and functional characteristics of the wall element 16 described above apply mutatis mutandis to the exemplary embodiment of [Fig. 10].
[0102] Thus, each of the parts of each of the sliding parts 22 can take a position of covering or uncovering the opening 14 independently of one another.
[0103] Furthermore, in the case of the third sliding part 22c forming the trim, it is understood that one and / or the other of the parts of the third sliding part 22c can comprise the pivoting plate 80 as described previously.
[0104] Advantage is taken of the embodiment example of [Fig. 10] in that it allows to install the wall element 16 around an opening 14 whose peripheral wall space is reduced, in particular in the transverse direction T. In other words, when the wall space around the opening 14 does not allow the installation of the frame comprising the uncovering zone 31 as described in figures 1 and 2, the installation of the frame 20 according to the embodiment example of [Fig. 10] makes it possible to remedy this by re-distributing the overlap zones 31 on either side of the opening 14 in the transverse direction T.
[0105] The invention as a whole is thus advantageous in that it makes it possible to obtain a modular wall element that is invisible from the interior space of a home, thus providing optimal passage of light through the opening while offering a tray that can be personalized with any type of accessories and can be used from the interior space of the home or outside of it. In addition, the invention is also advantageous in that it allows the exploitation of the entire wall inside the home and also the window sill. In addition, the invention makes it possible to adapt to any type of home and to do without a pocket system usually used to obtain an invisible installation such as proposed by the invention.
