Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Kit for wicking keratin fibers and associated treatment method
[0001] The present invention relates to a kit for a lock of keratin fibers comprising at least one device for illuminating at least one lock of keratin fibers, the illuminating device comprising:
[0002] - a first branch and a second branch movable relative to each other between an open position for introducing the wick and a closed position for confining the wick in which the branches define between them a cavity for illuminating the wick,
[0003] - a system for illuminating the wick in the illumination cavity, suitable for light the wick.
[0004] The kit is intended in particular to be used for treating hair. The treatment aims in particular to produce a bleaching of the hair under illumination, or to fix on the hair a coating which resists washing in order to give the hair a volume effect.
[0005] WO 2017 / 108767, WO 2004 / 054527 and WO 2007 / 048472 describe cosmetic coating compositions applicable to hair which comprise photocrosslinkable compounds. Document WO 2007 / 048472 describes cosmetic compositions for treating hair comprising photopolymerizable compounds.
[0006] After applying a cosmetic composition to the hair, an illumination device which may be constituted in the first and last document by light-emitting diodes (designated by the English acronym "LED"), is passed over the locks of hair to crosslink or polymerize the photosensitive compounds and thus obtain the desired effect.
[0007] Generally, the light emitted is in the UV-visible range, at energy doses of the order of Joule / cm2.
[0008] In other cases, when photo-oxidation must be carried out to bleach the hair, as in WO 2015 / 165949, hair treated with a composition comprising a chemical oxidant is subjected to the application of light with a device which may consist of light-emitting diodes. The illumination device is generally used at higher powers, for example of the order of a hundred Joules / cm2.
[0009] Prior to the illumination step, the strands of hair to which the cosmetic composition has been applied are generally isolated from the rest of the hair. and enclosed inside a foil. The foil retains the coating or bleaching composition on the hair strands and also prevents direct contact between the hair and the lighting device.
[0010] The aforementioned illumination devices are very effective in providing effective irradiation of the hair strand.
[0011] However, their use is complex and generally requires the presence of a professional trained in handling such devices. Incorrect handling risks causing light to be scattered outside the desired treatment area, which results in degraded treatment and / or damage to untreated hair and a risk to the user. There may also be a risk of overexposure of the hair, resulting in damage to its integrity.
[0012] WO2020 / 234311 describes an illumination device comprising an optical system capable of measuring the speed of movement of the device relative to a foil having an optical scale. The illumination power is then modified to maintain a regular illumination level as the illumination device passes over the foil, avoiding overexposure of the wick placed in the foil.
[0013] The aforementioned illumination device is effective in providing regular irradiation of the lock of hair.
[0014] However, there is still a need for improvement, in particular in protecting the user from light, to limit or even avoid the risks of overexposure and to improve the reproducibility of the illumination conditions from one treated area to another.
[0015] An aim of the invention is therefore to propose a kit for a lock of keratin fibers which makes it possible to carry out treatments requiring illumination of the lock, while greatly limiting, or even avoiding, the risks of overexposure to light, and improving the reproducibility of the treatment carried out.
[0016] To this end, the invention relates to a kit of the aforementioned type, characterized in that the kit further comprises a device for controlling the illumination received by a treated area, the treated area being a wick or part of a wick, the control device comprising a measuring device configured to measure the total light energy associated with the radiation of the illumination system received by the treated area and a safety device configured to emit an alert signal and / or stop the illumination of the treated area when the measured light energy exceeds a threshold value.
[0017] The illumination control device makes it possible to control the total light energy received by a treated area and, by alerting the user and / or interrupting the illumination, to avoid overexposure of the keratin fibers.
[0018] When the total measured light energy reaches the threshold value, the user is thus warned, for example via a light or sound signal, and / or the illumination is stopped.
[0019] For example, the threshold value is previously integrated at the level of the illumination device. Advantageously, the threshold value is previously entered by the user, for example according to the type of hair.
[0020] The reproducibility of the illumination conditions from one treated area to another is also improved, by making it possible to control the light energy received by each area.
[0021] The kit according to the invention may comprise one or more of the following characteristics, taken in isolation or in any technically possible combination.
[0022] According to a variant, the measuring device comprises a sensor capable of quantifying the energy received associated with the radiation of the illumination system, the sensor preferably being an energy integrating photometer.
[0023] The sensor makes it possible to precisely measure the total light energy received by the treated area, and thus to prevent the measured light energy from exceeding a threshold value.
[0024] According to a variant, the kit further comprises a twist for a lock of keratin fibers comprising a first sheet and a second sheet movable relative to the first sheet between a closed configuration for illuminating the lock and an open configuration, at least the first sheet being substantially transparent at least in part to UV-visible light, the measuring device preferably being integrated into the twist.
[0025] The strands of keratin fibers are thus held between the sheets of the papillote during treatment by illumination of the strand.
[0026] The keratin fibers arranged between the first and second sheets of the papillote thus receive maximum illumination, with reduced light loss. The body surfaces arranged near the papillote are further protected.
[0027] According to a variant of the invention, the measuring device is integrated into the papillote.
[0028] The received light energy is then measured at the level of the papillote. Said energy is returned to the safety device either continuously after each passage of the measuring device under the illumination device, or after a predefined number of passages, or when the total measured light energy exceeds the threshold value.
[0029] According to another variant of the invention, the measuring device is integrated into the illumination device.
[0030] The light energy received is then measured at the illumination device.
[0031] In one embodiment, the control device further comprises a zone change device configured to send a reset instruction to the measuring device when moving from one treated area to the next.
[0032] When moving from one treated area to another, for example from one strand to another, the measuring device is thus reset and the measured light energy is reset to zero.
[0033] Preferably, the zone changing device comprises at least one of the following elements chosen from:
[0034] - a manual activator, preferably a button, suitable for being activated by a user lizer when moving from one treated area to the next;
[0035] - an optical system suitable for measuring a displacement of the illumination device relative to the wick;
[0036] - an opening sensor of the illumination device configured to determine the switching the illumination device from the closed position to the open position.
[0037] According to a variant of the invention, the kit further comprises at least one cosmetic composition for keratin fibers suitable for being applied to the lock of keratin fibers.
[0038] The invention also relates to a method for treating at least one lock of keratin fibers comprising the following steps:
[0039] - provision of a kit of the aforementioned type, the illumination device being in open position;
[0040] - inserting a wick into the illumination cavity of the illumination device, said cavity defining the treated area;
[0041] - closing of the illumination device;
[0042] - activation of the illumination system; and
[0043] - measurement of the total light energy associated with the radiation of the system of illumination received by the treated area.
[0044] According to a variant, the method comprises a transmission step in which the safety device emits an alert signal when the light energy measured during the measurement step exceeds the threshold value.
[0045] The user is thus alerted that the measured light energy exceeds a threshold value and can either change the treated area or interrupt the illumination, in order to avoid overexposure of the treated area.
[0046] According to a variant, the method comprises a step of stopping the illumination system when the light energy measured during the measurement step exceeds the threshold value.
[0047] Automatic interruption of illumination reduces or even avoids the risks of overexposure of the treated area.
[0048] According to a variant, in which the kit comprises a twist of the aforementioned type, the step of inserting the wick into the illumination cavity comprising the following sub-steps:
[0049] - insertion of the wick between the first sheet and the second sheet of the papillote, the papillote being in the open configuration;
[0050] - closing the papillote, the wick being between the first and second sheets;
[0051] - arrangement of the papillote in the closed configuration such that the first sheet is located opposite the illumination system of the illumination device.
[0052] According to a variant, the method further comprises a step of relative movement of the illumination device with respect to the wick when the wick is inserted into the illumination cavity.
[0053] The total area treated after the possible step(s) of relative movement of the illumination device with respect to the wick then advantageously corresponds to at least 30% of the length of the wick, preferably at least 50% of the length of the wick, even more preferably at least 70% of the length of the wick.
[0054] According to a variant, the method further comprises a step of changing the treated area, carried out either by activation by a user of a manual activator, preferably a button, or automatically after a previously defined number of passes over a wick, or by insertion of a new wick into the illumination cavity, or by relative movement of the illumination device with respect to the wick.
[0055] The change of treated area can thus be carried out manually by the user, or automatically.
[0056] According to one variant, the method comprises, prior to inserting the wick into the illumination cavity, a step of applying at least one cosmetic composition to the wick.
[0057] In a variant of this process, the strand is first treated with at least one cosmetic composition.
[0058] According to one variant, the cosmetic composition comprises at least one chemical oxidizing agent.
[0059] Preferably, the chemical oxidizing agent is hydrogen peroxide alone or in combination with at least one persalt and in particular at least one persulfate.
[0060] Preferably, the composition comprising at least one chemical oxidizing agent comprises at least one alkaline agent. The alkaline agent(s) may be mineral or organic.
[0061] According to another variant, the cosmetic composition comprises at least one photocrosslinkable compound, even more preferably a photodimerizable compound.
[0062] Preferably, the photocrosslinkable compound is a polymer. Even more preferably, the photocrosslinkable polymer is a hydrophobized or non-hydrophobic PVASBQ.
[0063] The cosmetic composition comprising the chemical oxidizing agent(s) and / or the or the photocrosslinkable compounds may also comprise at least one compound chosen from solvents, silicone or non-silicone fatty substances, anionic, cationic, non-ionic or amphoteric surfactants, silicone or non-silicone, non-photocrosslinkable polymers and in particular anionic, cationic, non-ionic or amphoteric treating, fixing or thickening polymers, synthetic or natural soluble coloring agents, pigments, disulfide bond breaking agents, oxidizing agents, anti-dandruff agents and anti-hair loss agents.
[0064] The composition applied to the hair in the methods of the invention may result from the mixing at the time of use of at least two compositions. This is particularly the case for bleaching where the cosmetic composition applied to the hair preferably results from the mixing at the time of use of two compositions, one of which contains hydrogen peroxide or a hydrogen peroxide precursor, the second composition containing at least one alkaline agent. Even more preferably, the first composition is aqueous and contains hydrogen peroxide and the second composition is anhydrous.
[0065] The keratin fibers are preferably human hair or extensions.
[0066] The invention will be better understood on reading the following description, given solely by way of example, and made with reference to the appended drawings, in which:
[0067] [Fig.l] [Fig.l] is a schematic three-quarter front perspective view of a kit according to a first embodiment of the invention during the illumination of a lock of keratin fibers, the kit comprising an illumination device and a papillote inside which the lock is inserted, and
[0068] [Fig.2] [Fig.2] is a schematic view of a papillote according to a second embodiment of the invention.
[0069] A kit 10 for a lock of keratin fibers according to the invention is shown in [Fig.l].
[0070] The kit 10 is intended to illuminate at least one lock 12 of keratin fibers, for example previously treated with a cosmetic composition. Preferably, the keratin fibers are hair.
[0071] In one variant, the cosmetic composition contains at least one photo-crosslinkable polymer which crosslinks during treatment by illumination of the wick 12 by the kit 10.
[0072] In another variant, the kit 10 is intended to illuminate the lock 12 of keratin fibers to bleach the lock 12 which can be previously treated with a composition containing at least one oxidizing agent.
[0073] With reference to [Fig.l], the kit 10 comprises a device 14 for illuminating at least one lock 12 of keratin fibers. According to a preferred embodiment, shown in [Fig.l], the kit 10 also comprises a papillote 16 for strand 12 of keratin fibers.
[0074] The kit 10 also comprises a device 18 for controlling the illumination received by a treated area 19, the treated area 19 being a wick 12 or a part of a wick 12.
[0075] Advantageously, the kit 10 also comprises a cosmetic product for keratin fibers suitable for being applied to the lock 12 of keratin fibers.
[0076] The illumination device 14 according to the invention is illustrated in [Fig.l]. The illumination device 14 is here a clamp and is intended to illuminate the lock 12 of hair in order to proceed for example to the illumination of a lock 12 possibly previously treated with a cosmetic composition, for example to bleach it.
[0077] With reference to [Fig. 1], the illumination device 14 comprises a first branch 30 and a second branch 32, the branches 30, 32 being mounted to move relative to each other between an open position for introducing the wick 12, optionally covered with the foil 16, into the illumination device 14 and a closed position for confining the wick 12 in an illumination cavity 34 between the first branch 30 and the second branch 32, visible in [Fig. 1]. Advantageously, the illumination device 14 comprises an opening sensor (not shown) configured to determine the passage of the illumination device 14 from the closed position to the open position.
[0078] The device 14 further comprises an assembly 36 for articulating the first branch 30 with the second branch 32 and an illumination system 38 for illuminating the wick 12 in the illumination cavity 34.
[0079] According to a particular embodiment, the illumination device 14 further comprises an optical system 39 capable of measuring a movement of the illumination device 14 relative to the wick 12 and / or the foil 16.
[0080] The first branch 30 extends along a longitudinal axis X-X' and has a first interior surface delimiting a first side of the illumination cavity 34. The second branch 32 extends along a longitudinal axis Y-Y' and has a second interior surface delimiting a second side of the illumination cavity 34.
[0081] In this example, the first branch 30 and the second branch 32 are mounted to be movable relative to each other in rotation, by means of the articulation assembly 36 between the open position and the closed position. The rotation takes place around an axis Z-Z' perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X-X', Y-Y' of each branch 30, 32.
[0082] In the open position of the illumination device 14, the first branch 30 is partially moved away from the second branch 32. The volume of the intermediate space between the branches 30, 32, taken between the first interior surface and the second interior surface, is maximum to allow easy introduction of the wick 12, optionally covered with the papillote 16, between the branches 30, 32.
[0083] In the closed position of the illumination device 14, visible in [Fig.l], the first branch 30 and the second branch 32 are brought closer to each other to place their longitudinal axes X-X' and Y-Y' substantially parallel to each other.
[0084] The first inner surface and the second inner surface are then located opposite each other. The volume of the intermediate space between the branches 30, 32, taken between the first inner surface and the second inner surface, is then minimal.
[0085] The illumination system 38 comprises at least one light source 40 and, preferably, at least one controller 42 for the operation of the or each light source 40.
[0086] The light source 40 is mounted on at least one of the first and second branches 30, 32, preferably on only one of the two branches 30, 32, on the inner surface. In [Fig.l], the light source 40 is mounted on the first branch 30.
[0087] The light source 40 is for example formed by at least one light-emitting diode, preferably by a group of light-emitting diodes emitting in the UV-Visible range.
[0088] The illumination produced by the light source 40 is preferably produced in the wavelength range of 280 nanometers to 700 nanometers (nm) and preferably 350 to 500 nm.
[0089] Advantageously, the light source 40 is capable of developing an irradiance greater than 0.3 W / cm2, preferably between 0.5 W / cm2 and 50 W / cm2.
[0090] The light source 40 is powered by a power supply device (not shown). Said power supply device is for example integrated into the illumination device 14 or located nearby, in particular in the supporting branch of this illumination device 14. As a variant, the power supply device is remoted to an external device, the power supply of the light source 40 being for example carried out by connecting the illumination device 14 to said power supply device by wired means.
[0091] Preferably, the activation of the illumination system 38, and more particularly of the light source 40, is controlled by the closing of the illumination device 14. In other words, when the illumination device is in the open position, the illumination power developed by the light source 40 is zero.
[0092] The optional optical system 39 is capable of measuring the movement of the illumination device 14 relative to the wick 12 and / or the foil 16.
[0093] Preferably, the optical system 39 comprises an optical sensor (not shown) arranged on one of the first and second branches 30, 32. The optical sensor is for example a CCD sensor type sensor (CCD being the English acronym for " charge-coupled device”) or CMOS sensor (CMOS being the English acronym for “complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor”).
[0094] With reference to [Fig.l], the papillote 16 comprises a first sheet 50 and a second sheet 52. Preferably, the first sheet 50 is connected to the second sheet 52 by means of a joint 54, or assembly means 54.
[0095] The joint 54 is for example a bond or a weld or an adhesive or a staple or a Velcro device or a seam. The joint 54 is carried out according to an assembly line. For example, the joint 54 is a hinge.
[0096] Advantageously, the papillote 16 also comprises a sealing means 58 capable of sealing the papillote 16 in the closed configuration.
[0097] The first and second sheets 50, 52 are capable of having any shape and any dimensions suitable for the application of a cosmetic product to a lock of hair. In the example illustrated in [Fig.l], the first and second sheets 50, 52 are rectangular in shape.
[0098] The first sheet 50 is substantially transparent at least in part, preferably completely, to UV-visible light. By "substantially transparent to light" is meant that the first sheet 50 has a transmittance greater than 75% in the wavelength region from 350 nm to 500 nm, preferably from 280 nm to 700 nm, the transmittance being measured via a polychromatic light source and a spectrometer, or via a monochromatic source and a photon counter. This transmittance value is determined at room temperature (23°C + / - 5°C) and at atmospheric pressure (approximately 1013 hPa).
[0099] The first sheet 50 is made of a plastic material. This plastic material is preferably heat-resistant and has good resistance up to at least 150°C. This means that the mechanical and optical properties of the material are not degraded at temperatures up to at least 150°C. Even more preferably, this material is a polyethylene terephthalate (designated by the acronym PET).
[0100] Preferably, the second sheet 52 is substantially opaque at least in part, preferably completely, to UV-visible light. The second sheet 52 preferably has a transmittance of less than 5% in the wavelength region from 350 nm to 500 nm, preferably from 280 nm to 700 nm, the transmittance being measured via a polychromatic light source and a spectrometer, or via a monochromatic source and a photon counter. This transmittance value is determined at room temperature (23°C + / - 5°C) and at atmospheric pressure (about 1013 hPa).
[0101] The second sheet 52 is preferably made of a material chosen from the group consisting of opaque plastics (opaque polycarbonates, polyethylenes opaque, opaque polypropylenes, etc.), metals such as aluminum, and paper. According to a particular embodiment, the second sheet 52 is a sheet of aluminum or paper covered with a plastic coating which provides better rigidity while maintaining flexibility.
[0102] Preferably, at least one, advantageously each, of the first sheet 50 and the second sheet 52 comprises at least one liquid-tight layer suitable for retaining a cosmetic product applied to the sheet 50, 52 without the product impregnating or passing through the sheet 50, 52.
[0103] It is therefore possible to apply a product to a wick 12 placed on the exposed surface of the sheet 50, 52, without the product passing through the sheet 50, 52.
[0104] Preferably, each of the first sheet 50 and the second sheet 52 is capable of withstanding high temperatures, typically above 150°C. By "capable of withstanding" is meant that the mechanical and optical properties of the sheet 50, 52 are not degraded. Preferably, when the first 50 and / or the second sheet 52 is made of a plastic material, said first and / or second sheet 50, 52 has a glass transition temperature above 80°C.
[0105] Each of the first sheet 50 and the second sheet 52 is preferably capable of resisting cosmetic products that may be applied to the strand 12. For example, each of the first sheet 50 and the second sheet 52 is capable of resisting products comprising a bleaching product, for example an oxidizing product such as hydrogen peroxide.
[0106] In Figures 1 and 2, the articulation 54 is rectilinear and extends along a longitudinal axis between the first sheet 50 and the second sheet 52, preferably over the entire length of the sheets 50, 52.
[0107] The first sheet 50 is movable relative to the second sheet 52 around the articulation 54 between a closed configuration for illuminating the wick 12 and an open configuration.
[0108] In the open configuration, the sheets 50, 52 are in contact with each other only at the articulation 54. The sheets 50, 52 define between them a receiving space intended to receive at least one lock 12 of keratin fibers. In the open configuration, the volume of the receiving space is large enough to allow easy introduction of the lock 12 between the sheets 50, 52.
[0109] In the closed configuration of illumination of the wick 12, the sheets 50, 52 enveloping the wick 12 are in contact with each other and the volume of the receiving space is minimal.
[0110] As indicated in [Fig.2], optionally, the papillote 16 comprises a sealing means 58 arranged along a free edge of the first and / or the second sheet 50, 52. For example, the sealing means 58 is an adhesive or a Velcro system arranged along said free edge.
[0111] The sealing means 58 prevents keratin fibers of the lock 12 from emerging laterally from the papillote 16 when the papillote 16 is in the closed illumination configuration.
[0112] Advantageously, the sealing means 58 is not permanent and the foil 16 is capable of passing from the closed configuration to the open configuration by peeling off the first sheet 50 and the second sheet 52.
[0113] The illumination control device 18 comprises a measuring device 60 configured to measure the total light energy received by the treated area 19 and a safety device 62 intended to prevent overexposure of the first treated area 19.
[0114] The total light energy measured corresponds to the light power received multiplied by the duration of illumination.
[0115] Preferably, the measuring device 60 comprises a sensor 64 capable of quantifying the energy received by the treated area associated with the radiation from the illumination system 38.
[0116] The sensor 64 is preferably an energy integrating photometer.
[0117] According to the first embodiment shown in [Fig. 1], the measuring device 60 is integrated into the illumination device 14, in particular at the level of the first or second branch 30, 32.
[0118] In the example of [Fig. 1], the sensor 64 is integrated into the second branch 32 and is configured to directly receive the radiation from the illumination system 38.
[0119] Preferably, the measuring device 60 further comprises a microcontroller 66 configured to transmit an overflow signal to the safety device 62 when the total light energy measured by the sensor 64 reaches and / or exceeds a threshold value.
[0120] The threshold value corresponds to the maximum light energy authorized for a treated area.
[0121] Advantageously, the threshold value is adjustable by the user, for example from an adjustment device (not shown) arranged on one of the branches 30, 32 of the illumination device 14. The threshold value is for example adjustable according to the type of hair or the treatment chosen (sheathing or bleaching).
[0122] Typically, the threshold value is less than 120 J / cm2.
[0123] The safety device 62 is preferably integrated into the illumination device 14. The safety device 62 is configured to emit a safety instruction when the measured light energy exceeds a threshold value, in particular when it receives a overshoot signal transmitted by the measuring device 60.
[0124] For example, the safety instruction comprises the emission of an alert signal. The safety device 62 is configured to emit an alert signal when the total measured light energy exceeds the threshold value. The alert signal comprises, for example, an audible signal and / or a light signal.
[0125] Alternatively or additionally, the safety instruction comprises the automatic interruption of the illumination of the treated area 19. The safety device 62 is configured to transmit an instruction to interrupt the illumination to the illumination system 38, in particular to the controller 42 for operation of the or each light source 40.
[0126] In the example of [Fig.l], the security device comprises a memory 70 and a processor 72 associated with said memory 70.
[0127] The control device 18 can implement software, or a software brick, executable by the processor 72. The memory 70 of the control device 18 is then capable of storing software for establishing a safety instruction and software for transmitting at least one safety instruction, in particular an instruction for interrupting the illumination to the illumination system 38, in particular to the controller 42. The processor 72 is then capable of executing each of the establishment and transmission software.
[0128] Advantageously, the control device 18 further comprises a zone change device 76 configured to send a reset instruction, also called a reset instruction, to the measuring device 60.
[0129] The measuring device 60 is configured to receive said reset instruction and, following receipt of said instruction, to reset the measured light energy to zero.
[0130] The zone changing device 76 thus makes it possible to reset the measuring device 60 when moving from one treated zone 19 to the next.
[0131] Said passage may correspond for example to a change of wicks.
[0132] Alternatively, when the treated area corresponds to a part of a strand 12, said passage corresponds to the movement of the illumination device 14 along said strand 12 so as to illuminate an area which was not previously illuminated by the illumination device 14.
[0133] For example, as shown in [Fig.l], the zone changing device 76 comprises a manual activator 78, preferably a button, for example arranged on one of the branches 30, 32 of the illumination device 14.
[0134] The manual activator 78 is configured to be activated by a user when moving from one treated area 19 to the next, for example when changing wicks.
[0135] In a variant not shown, the zone change device 76 is configured to automatically send a reset instruction to the measuring device 60.
[0136] For example, when the illumination device 14 comprises an opening sensor (not shown) configured to determine the passage of the illumination device 14 from the closed position to the open position, said opening sensor is advantageously configured to transmit a signal to the zone change device 76 when the illumination device 14 opens, the zone change device 76 then being configured to transmit the reset instruction to the measuring device 60.
[0137] According to another example, the zone changing device 76 is configured to transmit the reset instruction to the measuring device 60 after a predetermined number of passes over a wick 12.
[0138] According to another example, the zone changing device 76 is configured to transmit the reset instruction to the measuring device 60 after a movement of the illumination device 14 along the strand 12 by a predetermined distance, said distance typically corresponding to the length of the treated zone 19 when the latter corresponds to a part of the strand 12. Said movement is preferably measured by the optical system 39.
[0139] The operation of the kit 10 for wick 12 of keratin fibers according to the first mode will now be described.
[0140] According to an optional step, the user initially places the wrapper 16 in the open position and inserts the wick 12 intended to undergo illumination between the first sheet 50 and the second sheet 52 of the wrapper 16. Then, the user moves the wrapper 16 into its closed illumination position by bringing the first sheet 50 and the second sheet 52 closer to each other.
[0141] When the papillote 16 comprises a sealing means 58, the latter is implemented in order to prevent keratin fibers of the lock 12 from emerging from the papillote 16 when the illumination device 14 passes.
[0142] In the case of a photocrosslinking treatment, the wick 12 has been coated prior to illumination with a cosmetic composition containing at least one photocrosslinkable compound.
[0143] In the case of a bleaching treatment, the strand 12 is for example, prior to illumination, coated with a cosmetic composition containing at least one oxidizing compound.
[0144] Then, the user places the illumination device 14 in the open position and inserts the wick 12, possibly inserted in the papillote 16, between the first branch 30 and the second branch 32 in the illumination cavity 34.
[0145] When the wick 12 is inserted into a papillote 16, the wick 12 is arranged in the illumination cavity 34 such that the first sheet 50 is located opposite the illumination system 38, in particular the light source(s) 40.
[0146] Then, the user moves the illumination device 14 into its closed position by bringing the first branch 30 and the second branch 32 closer to each other. During this bringing together, the internal surface of the first branch 30 is placed opposite the internal surface of the second branch 32 to close the illumination cavity 34.
[0147] The user activates the illumination system 38. The controller 42 controls the light source 40 to apply the desired illumination to a treated area 19.
[0148] The control device 18 ensures the control of the light energy received by said treated zone 19.
[0149] The measuring device 60 measures the total light energy received by the treated area 19, preferably by means of the sensor 64.
[0150] When the total measured light energy reaches and / or exceeds the threshold value, the measuring device 60 sends, preferably via its microcontroller 66, an overshoot signal to the safety device 62.
[0151] Advantageously, said threshold value has been previously entered by the user by means of an adjustment device.
[0152] The safety device 62 then issues a safety instruction intended to avoid overexposure of the treated area 19.
[0153] For example, the safety device 62 emits an audible and / or visual alert signal. The user is thus warned that the total light energy received by the treated area 19 has reached and / or exceeded the threshold value.
[0154] Alternatively or in addition, the safety device 62 transmits an instruction to interrupt the illumination to the illumination system 38, in particular to the controller 42 for operation of the or each light source 40. The illumination of the treated area 19 is then interrupted.
[0155] According to a particular embodiment, the user then moves the illumination device 14 along the wick 12 when illuminating a new area of the latter.
[0156] The optical system 39, when present, measures via the optical sensor the displacement of the illumination device 14 relative to the wick 12.
[0157] Alternatively, the illumination device 14 is kept fixed relative to the wick 12 when the latter is illuminated.
[0158] Preferably, when treating one or more strands 12, several treated areas are illuminated successively and the treatment method then comprises a step of changing the treated area.
[0159] For example, the user indicates the passage from one treated area to another, by example following the movement of the illumination device 14 or a change of wicks 12, by activating the manual activator 78, in particular by pressing a button.
[0160] Alternatively, the zone change device 76 automatically sends the reset instruction to the measuring device 60, following one of the actions chosen from the opening of the illumination device 14, a predetermined number of passes over a wick 12 and the movement of a predetermined distance of the illumination device 14 along the wick 12.
[0161] Following the passage from one treated zone 19 to another, the zone changing device 76 sends a reset instruction to the measuring device 60 which starts from zero to quantify the measured light energy.
[0162] Then, the user opens the illumination device 14 again to extract the wick 12. Optionally, the user places another wick 12 between the branches 30, 32.
[0163] The kit 10 according to the invention is thus easy to use.
[0164] Even in the case of misuse, for example by passing too slowly of the illumination device 14 along the strand 12, the level of illumination seen by the strand 12 is maintained at a level below a threshold value, ensuring optimal treatment of the keratin fibers and limiting the risks of overexposure.
[0165] The kit 10 and the treatment method according to the invention thus make it possible to obtain improved and safer illumination conditions, by controlling the light energy received by the keratin fibers.
[0166] The risks of degradation of keratin fibers due to overexposure, as well as the risks of degraded treatment, are reduced.
[0167] In addition, the control of the light energy received by the wick is more efficient, making it possible to obtain reproducible results from one treated area to another.
[0168] In a variant, the first sheet 50 and the second sheet 52 are separated and the papillote 16 is devoid of articulation 54.
[0169] According to a variant, the papillote 16 is made up of a single sheet, the articulation 54 corresponding to a fold line of said sheet.
[0170] According to one variant, the papillote 16 is made entirely of transparent or translucent plastic material, in particular polypropylene.
[0171] According to a second embodiment shown in part in [Fig.2], the measuring device 60 of the control device 18 is integrated into the papillote 16.
[0172] For example, the measuring device 60 comprises a sensor 80 arranged on one of the sheets 50, 52 of the foil 16 so as to directly receive the radiation from the illumination system 38. Advantageously, the sensor 80 is capable of transmitting an overshoot signal to the safety device 62 when the total light energy measured by the sensor 80 reaches and / or exceeds the threshold value.
[0173] Those skilled in the art will understand that the invention is not limited to the embodiments described, nor to the particular examples of the description, the embodiments and variants mentioned above being suitable for being combined with each other to generate new embodiments of the invention.
