Abstract

RATCHET-TYPE FREEWHEEL CLUTCH DEVICE The invention relates to a ratchet-type freewheel clutch device in which all the ratcheting elements can be stably meshed with the toothed parts. The freewheel clutch (1) comprises an outer path (2), an inner path (3), and first to nth ratcheting elements (4a-4c). A plurality of toothed parts (5) are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the inner path 3 and can mesh with the first to nth ratcheting elements. The retaining parts of a first to nth ratcheting element (12a-12c) are formed on the inner circumferential surface of the outer path to retain the first to nth ratcheting elements. Claims

to nth ratchet members (12a-12c) and the holding portions of first to nth ratchet members; an interval between the biasing member attachment surface in the holding portion of the first ratchet member (12a) and the first ratchet member is less than each interval between the biasing member attachment surfaces (15a-15c) in the holding portions of the second to nth ratchet members and the second to nth ratchet members.

4. A ratchet-type overrunning clutch apparatus according to claim 1, wherein: the first to nth pawl members (12a-12c) each comprise, as viewed from an axial side, a circular portion (16a) and a rectangular pawl portion (17a) formed integrally with the circular portion; the holding portions of the first to nth pawl members (12a-12c) are each provided, as viewed from an axial side, with a first circular concave portion (13a) concave from the inner circumferential surface of the outer race radially outward, and a second rectangular concave portion (14a) formed circumferentially adjacent to and continuously with the first concave portion and concave from the inner circumferential surface of the outer race radially outward;the circular portions of the first to nth ratchet members are rotatably held in the first concave portions in holding portions of the first to nth ratchet members; and the ratchet portions of the first to nth ratchet members and the biasing members are disposed in the second concave portions in the holding portions of the first to nth ratchet members.; [Fig. 2B] [Fig. 2C] 18a,21a
