Claims

[Claim 2] the biasing elements being disposed respectively between the first to nth ratchet elements and the holding portions of the first to nth ratchet elements; and an interval between a center of rotation of the first ratchet member and an action point on which the biasing force of the biasing member held in the first ratchet member holding portion acts, being greater than an interval between a center of rotation of the second to nth ratchet members and an action point on which the biasing force of the biasing member held in the second to nth ratchet member holding portion acts. A ratchet type overrunning clutch apparatus according to claim 1, wherein: the first to nth ratchet members each comprise, as viewed from an axial side, the circular portion (16a) and a rectangular ratchet portion (17a) formed integrally with the circular portion; the holding portions of the first to nth ratchet members are each provided, as viewed from an axial side, with the first concave portion (13a) and a second rectangular concave portion (14a) formed circumferentially adjacent to and continuously with the first concave portion and concave from the inner circumferential surface of the outer path radially outward; and each of the ratchet portions of the first to nth ratchet members and the biasing members is disposed in the second concave portion in the holding portion of the first to nth ratchet members. 16b 18b,21b
