Description

Title of the invention: Railway bogie monitoring device and associated railway bogie

[0001] The present invention relates to the monitoring of railway bogies.

[0002] More particularly, the invention relates to a device for monitoring railway bogies and a railway bogie comprising such a device.

[0003] Generally, a train wagon rests on bogies.

[0004] A bogie comprises axle boxes, each axle box comprising an axle supported by bearings and driving wheels of the train.

[0005] In order to monitor the bogie to detect, for example, a bearing failure, a wireless monitoring device is generally attached to the axle box.

[0006] The wireless monitoring device can measure vibrations and temperature of the bogie and transmits the vibration and temperature measurements for further processing.

[0007] To transmit the measurements, the wireless monitoring device may include a ceramic antenna solder on a PCB printed circuit board of the wireless monitoring device.

[0008] Since the wireless monitoring device is fixed on the bogie, the wireless monitoring device is subject to vibrations.
