Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Anti-Finger Pinch Device.
[0001] The present invention relates to an anti-finger pinch device.
[0002] Such a device is of particular interest to the entire population as soon as they approach a door, and particularly to children and disabled people.
[0003] It is also of interest to the sector of construction, development and renovation of buildings and premises.
[0004] Patent document FR 2937999 entitled “Safety device for openings”, inventor WARLET David, presents such a device.
[0005] This device has drawbacks, including:
[0006] The protection is only intended for the space located on the side of the protective blades arranged between an opening and a frame, constituting a door, which narrows when the door closes, and which widens when it opens, without taking into account the space located on the other side of the door, which narrows when the door opens, and which widens when it closes.
[0007] Such blades are fragile because they are wearing parts which must slide easily, be in close contact, and be firmly secured.
[0008] On the one hand, they must prevent any injury or compression of any part of the human body which is unfortunately too close: nose, ears, fingers, toes, lips, and so on.
[0009] They must also resist any pressure or attempt at unfortunate forcing, and remain reliable over time.
[0010] Finally, they only protect one side of the door.
[0011] The main aim of the present invention is therefore to overcome these various drawbacks by proposing a global anti-finger trap device capable of closing the accident-prone spaces existing between the frame and the opening of a door, generally flush, connected by hinges, during rotational movements of the opening relative to the frame,
[0012] According to a major characteristic of the invention, the device simultaneously integrates front protection means for the front space located in front of the opening, on the side opposite the hinges, on the one hand, and rear protection means for the rear space located behind the opening, on the side of the hinges, on the other hand.
[0013] According to another characteristic of the invention, the prior protection means consist of a series of vertical curvilinear boxes with a “U” structure with two nested branches which can be moved in a nesting fashion.
[0014] According to another characteristic of the invention, the boxes located at the ends of the series are fixed respectively to the frame and to the opening.
[0015] According to another characteristic of the invention, the housings are provided with an internal stop located at the opening of their “U” structure and an external stop located at the bottom of their “U” structure. The stops thus ensure their permanent connection.
[0016] According to another characteristic of the invention, the housing fixed to the opening has a double stop at its free end, the two branches of its “U” structure being in contact.
[0017] According to another characteristic of the invention, the frame comprises a vertical profile integrating on the one hand hinges for fixing the opening allowing its rotation, and on the other hand a vertical cavity open in crown section and capable of accommodating the boxes.
[0018] According to another characteristic of the invention, the fixing hinges are coaxial on a vertical axis and are arranged offset relative to an edge of the vertical profile. They constitute rear protection means.
[0019] According to another characteristic of the invention, a vertical cylindrical tube is arranged between the hinges, and is coaxial with the hinges, the opening being installed. It also constitutes a means of rear protection.
[0020] According to another characteristic of the invention, the vertical profile is made of aluminum or a material with similar mechanical characteristics.
[0021] According to another characteristic of the invention, the housings are made of an organic material such as plastic, or of a material with similar mechanical characteristics.
[0022] These characteristics make it possible to overcome point by point the various drawbacks listed above.
[0023] Other advantages and characteristics will emerge more clearly from the following description of a non-exclusive embodiment of a device in accordance with the invention, given by way of non-limiting example with reference to the appended drawings:
[0024] [Fig. 1] represents a preferred embodiment of the invention seen in horizontal section,
[0025] [Fig.2] represents the same preferred embodiment of the invention in vertical perspective seen from the side of the hinges connecting the opening and the frame.
[0026] With reference to the figures, the subject of the invention concerns a global anti-finger trap device APD capable of closing the accident-prone spaces existing between the frame DOR and the opening OUV of a door, generally flush, connected by hinges GON1, GON2, during rotational movements of said opening OUV relative to said frame DOR,
[0027] Said APD device simultaneously integrates front protection means MPA of the front space located in front of said opening OUV, on the side opposite said hinges GON1, GON2, on the one hand, and rear protection means MPP of the rear space located behind said opening OUV, on the side of said hinges G0N1, G0N2, on the other hand.
[0028] Said prior protection means MPA consist of a series of vertical curvilinear boxes BOI1, BOI2, BOB, BOI4 with a “U” structure with two nested branches that move in a nesting fashion.
[0029] Said boxes BOI1, BOI2, BOB, BOI4 located at the ends of the series are fixed respectively to said frame DOR and to said opening OUV. Complete occultation of the space separating said frame DOR and said opening OUV is thus ensured.
[0030] Said boxes BOU, BOB, BOB, BOI4 are provided with an internal stop located at the opening of their “U” structure and an external stop located at the bottom of their “U” structure. Said stops, not referenced, thus ensure their permanent connection. Indeed, when they come into contact, said stops oppose the disengagement of said boxes BOI1, BOB, BOB, 6014 which thus remain permanently secured.
[0031] Said box BOI4 fixed to said opening OUV has a double stop at its free end, the two branches of the “U” structure being in contact.
[0032] Said frame DOR comprises a vertical PRO profile integrating on the one hand hinges GON1, GON2 for fixing said opening OUV and allowing its rotation, and on the other hand a vertical cavity open in crown section and capable of accommodating said boxes BOI1, BOB, BOB, BOI4.
[0033] During the rotational movements of said opening OUV, said boxes BOI1, BOB, BOB, BOI4 slide relative to each other and remain permanently secured, which ensures the permanent preservation of their two external walls and the protection of people.
[0034] Said fixing hinges GON1, GON2, coaxial on a vertical axis AXE, are arranged offset relative to an edge ARE of said vertical PRO profile and constitute rear protection means MPP.
[0035] Once said opening OUV is installed, a vertical cylindrical tube TUB is arranged between said hinges GON1, GON2, and is coaxial with said hinges GON1, GON2. Said tube TUB also constitutes one of the rear protection means MPP.
[0036] Said vertical PRO profile is made of aluminum or a material with similar mechanical characteristics.
[0037] Said housings are made of an organic material such as plastic, or of a material with similar mechanical characteristics.
[0038] It is quite obvious that the examples of the embodiment which have just been given are only particular illustrations and in no way limitative with respect to the fields of application of the invention.
