Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Wig cap
[0001] The invention relates to a wig (1) adjustable to the size and shape of a user's head, comprising a cap (2) shaped to cover the user's scalp, and to which hair (3) is attached, comprising at least one transparent or translucent non-slip flexible element (4) on the inner surface of said cap (2) for holding the wig on the scalp, said at least one transparent or translucent non-slip flexible element (4) comprising a continuous zigzag band (4), positioned to be in contact with the user's scalp. According to one embodiment, the invention also relates to non-slip flexible dots (7) on the inner surface of said cap (2), positioned to be in contact with the user's scalp. Previous Art
[0002] Wigs are accessories that have been used for centuries. Their use has increased in recent decades, particularly due to the rise in pathologies such as cancer and alopecia.
[0003] Wigs include an internal support, conventionally called a cap, covering the cranial area of the user's head and onto which natural or artificial hair is attached. The inner surface of the cap is commonly equipped with means allowing the wig to be adjusted to the shape and size of the user's skull. The inner surface also most often includes anti-slip features to prevent the wig from slipping sideways on the user's head.
[0004] Classically, the cap consists of a tulle (fine mesh fabric) intended to cover the frontal, temporal and occipital areas, and, on the other hand, of a monofilament intended to cover the vertex area.
[0005] Tulle is a simple, lightweight, and transparent fabric made of linen, cotton, silk, wool, or synthetic fibers, with a regular mesh structure and varying degrees of elasticity. Monofilament, also called micro-skin, is made of a very lightweight material with a very fine mesh that allows the scalp to breathe; this material is made of a translucent fiber. The hair is attached to it in such a way as to mimic the natural growth pattern of the hair and make the wig as undetectable as possible.
[0006] The connection between these different parts of the cap is classically made by folding the layers, overlapping and applying strips of fabric to make the "overlap" and hold the whole together.
[0007] This assembly then creates very pronounced step-outs and thicknesses which are uncomfortable for the user, and can also be visible.
[0008] In order to solve this type of problem, solutions have been implemented.
[0009] For example, document EP15119661 describes a wig cap whose cap is partly made of flexible, self-adhesive pieces, the inner surface of which, in contact with the skull, is made of a layer or film of polysiloxane. These self-adhesive pieces prevent the wig from slipping and improve its stability. However, this type of cap has the disadvantage that the edges between the different sections remain visible, and that its stability could be improved.
[0010] In order to solve the problems discussed above, the Applicant has developed a wig whose cap includes a flexible, non-slip zigzag element, which improves the hold of the wig and significantly limits the visibility of the connection area between said parts of the cap.
[0011] In addition, the Applicant also uses the addition of soft anti-slip points to further improve the stability of the wig on the user's skull. Description of the invention
[0012] Thus, the invention relates to a wig (1) adjustable to the size and shape of a user's head, comprising a cap (2) shaped to cover a user's scalp, and to which hair (3) is attached, comprising at least one transparent or translucent non-slip flexible element (4) on the inner surface of said cap (2) to hold the wig on the scalp, said at least one transparent or translucent non-slip flexible element (4) comprising a continuous zigzag band (4), positioned to be in contact with the user's scalp.
[0013] According to one embodiment, the wig comprises a tulle covering the user's forehead (5), and a tulle (6) covering the top of the user's skull.
[0014] Preferably, said continuous zigzag band is positioned at the junction between said tulle covering the user's forehead (5), and said tulle (6) covering the top of the user's skull, and thus overlaps said tulle covering the user's forehead (5), and said tulle (6) covering the top of the user's skull.
[0015] According to one embodiment, said continuous zigzag band (4) is made of silicone or polyurethane, preferably silicone.
[0016] According to one embodiment, said wig includes other transparent or translucent anti-slip flexible elements, preferably anti-slip flexible points (7).
[0017] According to one embodiment, said wig further includes soft anti-slip points (7) on the inner surface of said cap (2), positioned to be in contact with the user's scalp.
[0018] Preferably, said continuous zigzag band (4) is a line forming angles between 110° and 150°, preferably between 120° and 140°.
[0019] Even more preferably, said continuous strip comprises 4 angles of 120° and one angle of 140°.
[0020] According to one embodiment of the invention, said continuous zigzag band (4) has a width between 1 mm and 10 mm, preferably between 3 mm and 7 mm.
[0021] Even more preferably, said continuous zigzag band (4) has a width of 5 mm.
[0022] Preferably, said soft anti-slip points (7) have a diameter between 1 mm and 10 mm, preferably between 3 and 7 mm.
[0023] Even more preferably, said soft anti-slip points (7) have a diameter of 5 mm.
[0024] Preferably, said soft anti-slip points (7) are positioned in at least one line.
[0025] Preferably, said soft anti-slip points (7) are positioned in several lines, preferably at least two lines.
[0026] Preferably, said soft anti-slip points (7) are positioned in two lines.
[0027] Preferably, said soft anti-slip points (7) are positioned in several lines, preferably at least three lines.
[0028] Preferably, said soft anti-slip points (7) are positioned in three lines.
[0029] According to one embodiment, said flexible anti-slip points (7) are made of silicone or polyurethane, preferably silicone.
[0030] Preferably, said soft anti-slip points are located on said tulle (6) covering the top of the user's skull.
[0031] The wig according to the invention and its particular characteristics, in particular the transparent or translucent non-slip flexible element comprising a continuous zigzag band, make it possible to obtain a very natural result once the hair has been implanted.
[0032] Furthermore, said continuous zigzag band creates a much more natural transition between the tulle of the forehead and the tulle covering the top of the user's head. Usually, the lines joining these two materials are straight and visible from above, which is not the case with this invention.
[0033] Furthermore, the use of a soft, non-slip element improves grip on the skull, and the zigzag shape further enhances its effectiveness by increasing the contact area.
[0034] The use of these soft, non-slip points allows for adequate support while limiting contact between the scalp and the tulle, the scalp being known to be very sensitive during hair loss, particularly during chemotherapy treatment.
[0035] The use of dispersed dots further enhances the anti-slip aspect of the wig according to the invention. This improves grip without compromising the wig's lightness. Figures
