[0038] With reference to the cited figures, the présent utility model refers to a protection arrangement 1 for a garment 100.

[0039] Figures 1-2 and 6 illustrate diverse types of garments 100 including the protection arrangement 1 at spécifie parts of the body to be covered and protected, for example the shoulders, elbows, and knees of the user.

[0040] In principle, the garment 100 can be of any type and hâve any use in the civil, industrial, military or sporting fields. It can be an item of clothing, as shown in figures 1-2, or an accès sory to be worn by the user (for example a knee pad, an elbow pad, a buffer, and so on) in order to protect a spécifie part of the body, as shown in [Fig.6].

[0041] Figures 3-5, 7 illustrate schematically the protection arrangement of the utility model in a basic configuration.

[0042] The protection arrangement 1 comprises a plurality of layers superimposed on and joined to one another, preferably at one or more peripheral edges 2 ([Fig.3]). As a whole, therefore, the protection arrangement consists of a multilayer structure able to elastically deform, at least partly, to follow the profile of the part of the body to be covered and protected.

[0043] Said configuration is very advantageous since it considerably facilitâtes the industrial production of the protection arrangement by means of procedures compatible and intégrable with the industrial manufacturing processes of the garment 100. According to the utility model, the protection arrangement 1 comprises a first layer 11, elastically déformable, having a first surface 111 and a second surface 112 opposite each other.

[0044] In general, the first layer 11 is intended to operate as a support layer for a structure made of elastically déformable thermoplastic material.

[0045] The layer 11 of the protection arrangement could be an intégral part of the garment 100 or joined to the latter by means of techniques of known type, for example stitching, gluing, heat sealing, and so on.

[0046] Preferably, the first layer 11 is made of an elastically déformable material chosen from: a fabric, a non-woven fabric, a foamed material, or a combination of these materials.

[0047] Preferably, the first layer 11 is arranged so that it can be heat-sealed to at least one other layer of the protection arrangement. In this case, where necessary, it could be covered at least partly (for example at the edges of the protection arrangement) by a heat-sealable material, for example TPU or PVC.

[0048] Preferably, the first layer 11 is made, at least partly, of a breathable material in order to ensure improved comfort for the user.

[0049] The protection arrangement 1 comprises a first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material joined to the first layer 11 and arranged so as to cover at least partly the surface 111 of said layer.

[0050] Preferably, the above-mentioned thermoplastic material consists of TPE, TPU, PVC, HD PE, LDPE, or other suitable thermoplastic materials.

[0051] In principle, the structure 10 made of thermoplastic material can be obtained by depositing a thermoplastic material on the first surface 111 of the first layer 11 by means of any industrial process of known type, for example injection moulding, additive printing by 3D printer, gluing, heat-sealing, casting, and similar.

[0052] Preferably, however, the first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material is deposited on the first layer 11 by means of an injection moulding process.

[0053] The first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material is elastically déformable, preferably according to one or more deformation directions.

[0054] The first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material can hâve a continuous, reticular, or discrète configuration. Preferably, however, it includes a plurality of shaped éléments made of thermoplastic material separate from one another and arranged side by side according to the desired pattern, for example according to the solutions described in the patent application DE102020120936A1.

[0055] Preferably, groups of éléments made of thermoplastic material are joined to one another so as to facilitate deformation of the structure along corresponding preferential deformation Unes.

[0056] The protection arrangement 1 comprises a second layer 12, elastically déformable, having a third surface 123 and a fourth surface 124 opposite each other.

[0057] The second layer 12 is arranged so that the third surface 123 of the second layer 12 faces the first layer 11 and the fourth surface 124 faces the opposite direction with respect to the layer 11.

[0058] In general, the second layer 12 is intended to cover the first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material joined to the first layer 11.

[0059] The structure 10 made of thermoplastic material, joined to the first layer 11, is interposed between the layers 11, 12 of the protection arrangement, in particular between the first surface 111 of the first layer 11 and the third surface 123 of the second layer 12.

[0060] According to some embodiment variations of the utility model, better described below, the layer 12 of the protection arrangement can also act as a support layer for a further elastically déformable structure.

[0061] The second layer 12 could be an intégral part of the garment 100 or joined to the latter by means of techniques of known type, for example stitching, gluing, heat-sealing, and so on.

[0062] Preferably, the second layer 12 is made of an elastically déformable material chosen from: a fabric, a non-woven fabric, a foamed material, a thermoplastic material, or a combination of these materials.

[0063] Preferably, the second layer 12 is arranged so that it can be heat-sealed to at least one other layer of the protection arrangement. In this case, where necessary, it could be covered at least partially (for example at the edges of the protection arrangement) by a heat-sealable material, for example TPU or PVC.

[0064] Preferably, the above-mentioned first and second layer 11, 12 of the protection arrangement are joined (preferably by heat sealing) to each other in one or more joining régions 2. The latter are configured to form one or more edges of the protection arrangement, as illustrated in [Fig.3].

[0065] Preferably, the protection arrangement comprises a covering layer 14 superimposed on the layers 11, 12 in the joining régions 2 of said layers.

[0066] The covering layer 14 is advantageously shaped (for example in an annular form) so as to follow the edges of the protection arrangement ([Fig.4A]).

[0067] Preferably, the covering layer 14 is formed of a heat-sealable material, for example TPU or PVC.

[0068] Preferably, the covering layer 14 is joined to the edges of the second layer 12 before joining the latter layer to the first layer 11. In other cases, however, the covering layer 11,12 could be applied on the layers 11,12 when the latter are already joined to each other.

[0069] The solution proposed in [Fig.4A] is particularly effective at ensuring improved appearance of the covering arrangement. The covering layer 14, in fact, guarantees that the joining areas 2 between the layers 11,12 hâve a smooth linear profile also when the above-mentioned layers hâve non-negligible différences in thickness. The protection arrangement 1 can be arranged on a garment 11 according to the orientation illustrated in [Fig.4]. The first layer 11 is intended to face the body of the user while the second layer 12 is intended to face outwards. In other cases, the protection arrangement 1 can be arranged on a garment 11 according to an inverted orientation, illustrated in [Fig.5]. According to said configuration, the second layer 12 is intended to face the body of the user while the first layer 11 is intended to face outwards.

[0070] The protection arrangement 1 can be intended for application to garments or portions of garment with very slight curvature. In this case, during use, the protection arrangement will hâve a substantially fiat or slightly curved configuration so as to follow the profile of the portion of the user’ s body to be covered.

[0071] Figures 6-7 illustrate an example in which the protection arrangement 1 is applied to garments with very marked curvature or having a tubular or semi-tubular structure. In this case, the protection arrangement 1 can hâve a markedly curved configuration. For example, the first layer 11 can be folded and joined to an edge 101A of the garment 100 so as to form the above-mentioned tubular or semi-tubular structure.

[0072] [Fig.8] illustrâtes an embodiment variation of the utility model.

[0073] According to said embodiment variation, the arrangement 1 comprises a first layer 11, a first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material and a second layer 12 arranged according to the configuration of [Fig.4].

[0074] However, the second layer 12 is joined to the first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material at one or more second joining régions 3.

[0075] Said solution is particularly advantageous because it ensures improved cohésion between the parts of the protection arrangement.

[0076] The joining between the second layer 12 and the structure 10 made of thermoplastic material can be obtained by means of known techniques, for example fusion between layers, gluing, heat sealing, and so on.

[0077] The joining between the second layer 12 and the structure 10 is preferably fiat. However, it could also be obtained in a curved shape, after preforming of the protection arrangement.

[0078] The protection arrangement, according to said embodiment variation, can be arranged on a garment 11 according to the orientation illustrated in [Fig.8] or with inverted orientation, analogously to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.5].

[0079] Figures 9-10 illustrate a further embodiment variation of the utility model.

[0080] The protection arrangement 1 comprises a first layer 11, a first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material and a second layer 12 according to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.4],

[0081] In this case, however, the second layer 12 comprises an opening 4. The structure 10 made of thermoplastic material is thus only partly covered by the second layer 12 also when the layers 11, 12 of the protection arrangement are joined to each other.

[0082] Preferably, the second layer 12 is joined to the first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material in one or more second joining areas 3 configured to form one or more edges of the opening 4.

[0083] Preferably, the joining between the second layer 12 and the structure 10 made of thermoplastic material is obtained by means of heat sealing. For said purpose, the second layer 12 could be made of a thermoplastic material or be covered by a heat-sealable material at the edges of the opening 4.

[0084] When produced according to this variation, the protection arrangement is preferably arranged on a garment 11 according to the orientation illustrated in [Fig. 10] with the second layer 12 intended to face outwards and the first layer 11 intended to face the body of the user. In this way, the structure 10 made of thermoplastic material can advantageously be seen on the outside, giving the garment 100 on which the protection arrangement is applied a particular aesthetic appearance and ensuring improved breathability ([Fig.9]).

[0085] According to further embodiment variations of the utility model (figures 11-15), the protection arrangement 1 comprises a second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material joined to a layer of the protection arrangement.

[0086] Also in this case, the thermoplastic material can consist of TPE, TPU, PVC, HDPE, LDPE, or other suitable thermoplastic materials.

[0087] In principle, the structure 20 made of thermoplastic material can be obtained by depositing a thermoplastic material on a surface of the relative support layer by means of any industrial process of known type, for example injection moulding, additive printing by 3D printer, gluing, heat sealing, casting, and similar.

[0088] Preferably, however, the second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material is deposited on the relative support layer by means of an injection moulding process.

[0089] The second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material is elastically déformable, preferably according to one or more deformation directions.

[0090] The second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material can hâve a continuous, reticular, or discrète configuration. Preferably, however, it includes a plurality of shaped éléments made of thermoplastic material, separate from one another, and arranged side by side according to the desired pattern, for example according to the solutions described in the patent application DE102020120936A1.

[0091] Preferably, groups of éléments made of thermoplastic material are joined to one another so as to facilitate deformation of the structure 20 along corresponding preferential deformation Unes.

[0092] [Fig. 11] illustrâtes a further embodiment variation of the utility model.

[0093] The protection arrangement 1 comprises a first layer 11, a first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material and a second layer 12 according to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.4] or, if necessary, the configurations of figures 8 and 10.

[0094] In this case, however, the protection arrangement comprises a second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material joined to the second layer 12 and arranged so as to cover, at least partly, the fourth surface 124 of the second layer.

[0095] The second layer 12 thus acts as a support layer for the second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material.

[0096] The structures 10, 20 made of thermoplastic material are arranged in opposite positions to each other with respect to the second layer 12.

[0097] The protection arrangement is preferably arranged on a garment 11 according to the orientation illustrated in [Fig.l 1] with the second layer 12 intended to face outwards and the first layer 11 intended to face the body of the user. In this way, the second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material can be advantageously seen on the outside and can give a particular aesthetic appearance to the garment 100 on which the protection arrangement is applied.

[0098] [Fig. 12] illustrâtes a further embodiment variation of the utility model.

[0099] The protection arrangement 1 comprises a first layer 11, a first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material and a second layer 12 according to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.4] or, if necessary, the configurations of figures 8 and 10.

[0100] In this case, however, the protection arrangement comprises a second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material joined to the second layer 12 and arranged so as to cover, at least partly, the third surface 123 of the second layer.

[0101] Also in this case, the second layer 12 acts as a support layer for the second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material.

[0102] The structures 10, 20 made of thermoplastic material are interposed between the first and the second layer 11,12 and face each other.

[0103] The protection arrangement 1 can be arranged on a garment 11 according to the orientation illustrated in [Fig. 12] or with inverted orientation, analogously to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.5].

[0104] According to further embodiments of the utility model (figures 13-15), the protection arrangement 1 comprises a third layer 13, preferably elastically déformable, in addition to the above-mentioned second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material.

[0105] The third .layer 13 can be intended to cover the second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material and / or to act as a support layer for the latter.

[0106] The third layer 13 could be an intégral part of the garment 100 or joined to the latter by means of known techniques, for example stitching, gluing, heat sealing, and so on.

[0107] Preferably, the third layer 13 is made of an elastically déformable material chosen from: a fabric, a non-woven fabric, a polyuréthane foam, a thermoplastic material, or a combination of these materials.

[0108] Preferably, the third layer 13 is arranged so as to be heat-sealed to at least one other layer of the protection arrangement. In this case, where necessary, it could be covered at least partly (for example at the edges of the protection arrangement) by a heat-sealable material, for example TPU or PVC.

[0109] Preferably, the third layer 13 is joined to the above-mentioned first and second layer 11, 12 of the protection arrangement at the above-mentioned joining régions 2.

[0110] [Fig. 13] illustrâtes a further embodiment variation of the utility model.

[0111] The protection arrangement 1 comprises a first layer 11, a first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material and a second layer 12 according to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.4] or, if necessary, the configurations of figures 8 and 10.

[0112] In this case, however, the protection arrangement 1 comprises a third layer 13 having a fifth surface 135 and a sixth surface 136 opposite the fifth surface 135.

[0113] The third layer 13 is arranged so that the fifth and the sixth surface 135 face the first layer 11 respectively, in the opposite direction with respect to said layer.

[0114] The protection arrangement comprises a second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material joined to the third layer 13 and arranged so as to cover, at least partly, the fifth surface 135 of the third layer.

[0115] The third layer 13 thus acts as a support layer for the second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material.

[0116] The structure 20 made of thermoplastic material is interposed between the first and the third layer 11,13 while the structures 10, 20 made of thermoplastic material are in opposite positions to each other with respect to the first layer 11.

[0117] The protection arrangement 1 can be arranged on a garment 11 according to the orientation illustrated in [Fig. 13] or with inverted orientation, analogously to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.5].

[0118] [Fig. 14] illustrâtes a further embodiment variation of the utility model.

[0119] The protection arrangement 1 comprises a first layer 11, a first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material and a second layer 12 according to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.4] or, if necessary, the configurations of figures 8 and 10.

[0120] Also in this case, however, the protection arrangement 1 comprises a third layer 13 having a fifth surface 135 and a sixth surface 136 opposite the fifth surface 135.

[0121] The third layer 13 is arranged so that the fifth and the sixth surface 135 face the first layer 11 respectively and in the opposite direction to said layer.

[0122] The protection arrangement comprises a second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material, joined to the first layer 11 and arranged so as to cover, at least partly, the second surface 112 of the first layer.

[0123] In this case, therefore, the first layer 11 acts as a support layer also for the second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material.

[0124] The structure 20 made of thermoplastic material is interposed between the first and the third layer 11,13 while the structures 10, 20 made of thermoplastic material are in opposite positions to each other with respect to the first layer 11.

[0125] According to said embodiment variation, also the third layer 13 can be joined to the second structure 30 made of thermoplastic material at one or more corresponding joining régions.

[0126] The protection arrangement 1 can be arranged on a garment 11 according to the orientation illustrated in [Fig. 14] or with inverted orientation analogously to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.5].

[0127] [Fig. 15] illustrâtes a further embodiment variation of the utility model.

[0128] The protection arrangement 1 comprises a first layer 11, a first structure 10 made of thermoplastic material and a second layer 12 according to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.4] or, if necessary, the configurations of figures 8 and 10.

[0129] Also in this case, however, the protection arrangement 1 comprises a third layer 13 having a fifth surface 135 and a sixth surface 136 opposite the fifth surface 135.

[0130] The third layer 13 is arranged so that the fifth and the sixth surface 135 face the first layer 11 respectively in an opposite direction with respect to said layer.

[0131] The protection arrangement comprises a second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material joined to the third layer 13 and arranged so as to cover, at least partly, the sixth surface 136 of the third layer.

[0132] The third layer 13 thus acts as a support layer also for the second structure 20 made of thermoplastic material.

[0133] The structures 10, 20 are in opposite positions to each other with respect to the first and third layer 11, 13 facing at the respective surfaces 112, 135.

[0134] The protection arrangement 1 can be arranged on a garment 11 according to the orientation illustrated in [Fig. 15] or with orientation inverted analogously to the configuration illustrated in [Fig.5].

[0135] The protection arrangement, according to the utility model, has considérable advantages with respect to the known art.

[0136] The protection arrangement includes one or more structures 10, 20 made of thermoplastic material, which are elastically déformable both in the direction perpendicular to and in the direction parallel to the respective support layers.

[0137] The structures 10, 20 made of thermoplastic material can therefore provide an effective cushioning effect in the event of impact on the body of the user.

[0138] At the same time, said structures cooperate synergically with the other elastically déformable layers of the protection arrangement to allow the entire multilayer structure to easily adapt to the shape of the body.

[0139] The protection arrangement thus ensures high performance in terms of protection against abrasion and impact and ensures high levels of ergonomy and comfort for the user.

[0140] The covering layers 12, 13 of the protection arrangement ensure effective protection against abrasion of the structures 10, 20 made of thermoplastic material, when said structures face outwards.
