Description

Title of the invention: H1-free power supply and charging system Technical field

[0001] The invention relates to the technical field of wireless charging or power supply systems. More specifically, the invention relates to locking an electric battery onto a docking station of a wireless charging or power supply system. State of the art

[0002] In order to be able to power or charge electronic equipment in a public space, for example in a catering area or in a waiting area, it is known to integrate a wireless charging or power supply system into furniture in this space. This type of system makes it possible to transmit energy from a wireless charging station to an electronic device placed on the furniture, for example by inductive coupling between a coil located in the charging station and a coil located in the electronic device. It will be noted, for example, that the Qi standard describes an example of technology allowing this type of wireless energy transmission.

[0003] In order to avoid connecting the charging or power supply system to the mains and therefore having wires running to the mains with a risk of falling or an unsightly appearance, it is known to integrate an electric battery into the system. The battery can thus provide the electrical power necessary for charging or powering the remote electronic device. However, to the extent that the furniture is accessible to the public, it is necessary to provide a solution for locking this battery to the system, so as to prevent its removal, in particular to prevent theft. However, the solution must allow rapid and easy unlocking of the battery by authorized personnel, to allow maintenance of the battery or its replacement when it is discharged by a new battery.

[0004] However, known systems are often large, unsightly and could be torn off using a power take-off.

[0005] The invention therefore falls within this context and seeks to resolve all of the aforementioned drawbacks. Thus, the invention seeks to propose a wireless charging or power supply system comprising a battery to provide the electrical power necessary for this charging or power supply, which can be locked or unlocked simply and quickly while remaining unnoticed once installed on its support and which is difficult to remove.

[0006] A locked configuration is understood to mean a configuration in which the locking element and the locking counterpart cooperate to oppose removal of the battery from the docking station. Conversely, in the unlocked configuration, the locking element and the locking counterpart no longer oppose removal of the battery from the docking station. It is thus understood that thanks to the invention, it is necessary to use a specific key capable of emitting a magnetic field in order to unlock the battery from its docking station. Unlocking is thus made complex, or even impossible, in the absence of this key, while it is simple and rapid when this key is available. Presentation of the invention.

[0007] The subject of the invention is a wireless power supply or charging system comprising a charging station comprising a battery and a housing in which the battery is arranged, the housing having an upper face and a lower face, and at least one locking element arranged at the upper face and at least one unlocking element arranged at the lower face and; a receiving device comprising a cavity adapted to receive the charging station, the cavity comprising a bottom and a side wall, said receiving device comprising at least one complementary locking element arranged at the bottom;the at least one locking element and the at least one complementary locking element being arranged to cooperate together and to adopt a locked configuration when the charging station is installed in the cavity of the receiving device and to adopt an unlocked configuration under the influence of an unlocking device comprising at least one complementary unlocking element adapted to cooperate with the unlocking element of the lower face of said charging station. The system is remarkable in that the lower face comprises a continuous surface delimited by at least one edge, and in that, when the charging station is installed in the cavity of the receiving device, said edge comes into contact with the side wall of said cavity by defining an obtuse angle between the lower face and the side wall. ;

[0008] The housing may be adapted to contain and protect the battery, the antenna but also all of the printed circuits of the power supply system. The upper face of the housing may be substantially flat and the lower face may be slightly curved to make it difficult or even impossible to grip the charging station when it is in the locked position.

[0009] The charging station may advantageously comprise two locking elements. In another embodiment, the charging station may comprise three locking elements. In a different embodiment, the charging station may comprise four locking elements. The at least one locking element can be positioned against the upper face of the charging station housing, i.e. in contact with said upper face. In one embodiment, the at least one locking element can be positioned less than 2 mm from the upper face of the charging station housing.

[0010] The at least one unlocking element can be positioned a few millimeters, for example at a distance of between 1 mm and 5 mm from the lower face of the housing of the charging station.

[0011] The receiving device may comprise means for attachment to a furniture tray. The receiving device may be attached to a furniture tray by screws and / or glue. The receiving device may comprise a cavity which may be concave. The receiving device may advantageously comprise two complementary locking elements, arranged longitudinally on either side of the battery. In another embodiment, the receiving device may comprise three complementary locking elements. In a different embodiment, the receiving device may comprise four complementary locking elements.

[0012] The locking element and the complementary locking element are positioned so that they can be opposite each other when the charging station is installed in the receiving device.

[0013] A user who wishes to lock the charging station in the receiving device, positions it in his hand and by passing the charging station at the receiving device, the locking element and the complementary locking element will automatically attract and cooperate together so that the charging station is easily positioned in the cavity of the receiving device.

[0014] The unlocking device may allow the locking element of the charging station and the complementary locking element of the receiving device to cease to cooperate so that said battery can be extracted from the cavity of the receiving device.

[0015] The edge may be adapted to serve as a positioning member for the charging station in the receiving device. Thus, when the user seeks to install the charging station in the receiving device, the edge may cooperate with the side wall of the cavity of the receiving device so that the charging station is perfectly positioned in the cavity.

[0016] Advantageously, the cavity of the receiving device comprises a bottom and a side wall, said side wall comprising an internal surface on the side of the cavity and an external surface, said internal surface and said external surface being connected to each other by an edge.

[0017] The slice may be oblique towards the inside of the cavity, that is to say that the surface internal is shorter than the external surface.

[0018] The junction between the slice and the external surface is adapted to cooperate with the edge of the charging station. Thus the lower face of the charging station and the external surface of the cavity of the receiving device form a continuous surface broken by an angle formed by the edge of the charging station and by the junction between the edge and the external surface of the cavity wall.

[0019] Advantageously, the housing of the charging station comprises an upper face arranged opposite the bottom of the receiving device, a lower face adapted to close the housing and a lateral face adapted to connect the upper face and the lower face.

[0020] In one embodiment, the upper face and the lower face of the housing are clipped together at the side face. In another embodiment, the upper face and the lower face are mounted together at the side face and then held together by gluing. In a different embodiment, the upper face and the lower face are mounted together at the side face and then held together by ultrasonic welding.

[0021] The upper face and the lower face may be clipped together by means of male and female fixing means. The male and female fixing means may for example be lugs mounted on the lower face of the housing, adapted to be inserted into tubes mounted on the upper face of the housing.

[0022] The cavity may be adapted to fully receive the side face of the charging station.

[0023] When the charging station is mounted in the cavity of the receiving device, the upper face may be opposite the bottom such that the upper face and the bottom are in contact. When the charging station is mounted in the cavity of the receiving device, the side face may be opposite the side wall of the cavity, such that the side face and the side wall are in contact.

[0024] Advantageously, the lateral face of the housing of the charging station comprises a first part at right angles to the internal surface of the lateral wall of the receiving device and a second projecting part arranged at right angles to the edge of said lateral wall.

[0025] The lateral face can be divided into two parts, a first part and a second part forming an obtuse angle between them.

[0026] When the charging station is inserted into the cavity of the receiving device, the first portion may face the inner surface of the side wall of the receiving device, such that the first portion and the inner surface may be in contact. When the charging station is inserted into the cavity of the receiving device, the second portion may face the edge of the side wall of the receiving device, so that the second part and the slice can be in contact.

[0027] Advantageously, the side wall of the receiving device is a first inner side wall and in that said receiving device comprises a second outer side wall projecting from the first inner side wall so as to form a channel between said inner wall and said outer wall.

[0028] The presence of the second side wall and the channel formed between the first and second side walls can make it possible to avoid inserting a knife or any other object allowing leverage and therefore stealing the charging station. Thus, once the charging station is installed in the cavity of the receiving device, it is no longer possible to remove it without the aid of the unlocking device.

[0029] The presence of the channel between the first and second side walls can facilitate the insertion of the charging station into the cavity.

[0030] Advantageously, the charging station comprises a projection from the upper face, said projection comprising a charging module and an antenna, the charging module being arranged to receive electrical power and to transmit it to the antenna, which is arranged to transmit this electrical power to a remote electrical appliance to charge it or supply it with electricity.

[0031] It is the charging station which, from the electrical power produced by the battery, can transmit said electrical power to the antenna, itself adapted to deliver said electrical power to the electronic device to be recharged.

[0032] The projection may allow the charging station to be positioned in the cavity of the receiving device. The projection may comprise an antenna support adapted to receive said antenna.

[0033] The charging module may be arranged to receive electrical power and to transmit it to the antenna, which may be arranged to transmit this electrical power to a remote electrical device to charge it or power it electrically.

[0034] Advantageously, the bottom of the receiving device comprises a perforated housing adapted to receive the projection of the charging station.

[0035] The housing may have a profile substantially identical to the profile of the projection of the charging station so that said projection can be inserted into said housing.

[0036] The housing may be perforated so as to limit the thickness between the antenna and the element to be recharged. Indeed, depending on the recharging standard used, it may be necessary to respect a certain distance for the recharging to work.

[0037] Advantageously, the receiving device is mounted on a lower face of a furniture tray by at least one fixing means.

[0038] The means for fixing the receiving device to the underside of the furniture tray may comprise glue and / or screws.

[0039] Advantageously, the receiving device comprises at least one bore adapted to receive the complementary locking element, said bore being arranged so that the complementary locking element is opposite the locking element of the charging station when they cooperate.

[0040] In a preferred embodiment, the receiving device comprises two bores. In another embodiment, the receiving device comprises three bores. In a different embodiment, the receiving device comprises four bores.

[0041] The complementary locking element may have a diameter substantially identical to the diameter of the bore so that said complementary locking element is perfectly inserted into said bore.

[0042] Advantageously, the locking element and the unlocking element each comprise at least one magnet.

[0043] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the locking element may comprise three magnets and the unlocking element may comprise a single magnet.

[0044] In another embodiment, the locking element may comprise two magnets and the unlocking element may comprise a plurality of magnets.

[0045] Advantageously, the locking element and the complementary locking element each comprise at least one magnet whose adhesive force is between 100 N and 300 N.

[0046] The magnet of the locking element and the magnet of the complementary locking element may have reverse polarities.

[0047] Each magnet of the locking element and the complementary locking element may have an adhesive force of between 24 N and 26 N.

[0048] Advantageously, the unlocking element of the charging station comprises at least one magnet whose adhesive force is greater than the adhesive force of the magnet of the locking element.

[0049] The unlocking element of the charging station may be adapted to allow the charging station to be removed from the cavity of the receiving device. It is the fact of using an unlocking magnet whose adhesive force is higher than the locking magnet that may allow the charging station to be removed from its location in the receiving device.

[0050] Advantageously, the unlocking element of the charging station comprises at least one fixing means comprising alternating polarities.

[0051] The means for attaching the unlocking element may comprise at least one magnet. In a preferred embodiment, the unlocking element may comprise two magnets. In another embodiment, the unlocking element may comprise three magnets.

[0052] In a preferred embodiment, the magnet of the unlocking element may comprise a self-centering round toroidal magnet which may make it possible to easily center the unlocking element but also to use a complementary magnet comprising the same alternation of polarities which are complementary.

[0053] The radially magnetized toroidal magnet can allow the unlocking device to be quickly and easily self-centered when a user passes their hand under the table to unlock the charging station. The use of a toroidal magnet can make it possible to create a kind of key for which it is necessary to have the complementary key to be able to unlock the charging station. Indeed, if a malicious individual tries to steal the charging station with a conventional magnet and whose adhesive force is higher than that of the locking elements, the conventional magnet will be disoriented by the double polarization and will not be able to adhere optimally to the charging station so that it will be impossible to remove the charging station from the cavity.

[0054] In another embodiment, the unlocking element of the charging station comprises a plurality of magnets, for example five magnets whose visible face has a first polarity and four magnets whose visible face has a second polarity, the five magnets being arranged alternately with the four magnets. In this same embodiment, the complementary unlocking element comprises five magnets whose visible face has the second polarity and four magnets whose visible face has the first polarity, the five magnets being arranged alternately with the four magnets. In this embodiment, it may be possible to arrange the five magnets having the first polarity in a cross shape and the other four magnets having the second polarity alternately with the other five.It is also possible to arrange the magnets with other special patterns so that only the complementary unlocking device with the same complementary pattern can unlock the charging station from its cavity.

[0055] Another aspect of the invention relates to a device for unlocking a wireless power or charging system, comprising a cavity in which the complementary unlocking element is mounted, said cavity being adapted to cooperate with the charging station so that the complementary unlocking element cooperates with the unlocking element of the charging station.

[0056] The unlocking device may comprise a closed cavity located on the side of its upper face when said device is in the unlocking position, that is to say in the position in which it is placed to unlock said charging station. closed cavity comprises the complementary unlocking element adapted to cooperate with the unlocking element of the charging station. Thus, when the unlocking device is positioned in contact with the charging station, the complementary unlocking element can be attracted opposite the unlocking element and cooperate with it.

[0057] Advantageously, the complementary unlocking element is a magnet.

[0058] The magnet of the complementary unlocking element may have an inverse polarity with respect to the unlocking element.

[0059] Advantageously, the magnet of the complementary unlocking element of the unlocking device has an adhesive force greater than the adhesive force of the magnet of the complementary locking element.

[0060] The complementary unlocking element of the unlocking element may be adapted to allow the charging station to be removed from the cavity of the receiving device. It is the fact of using an unlocking magnet whose adhesive force is higher than the locking magnet that may allow the charging station to be removed from its location in the receiving device.

[0061] Advantageously, the complementary unlocking element comprises at least one magnet whose adhesive force is between 90 N and 110 N.

[0062] The adhesive force of each magnet of the complementary unlocking element may in particular be between 95 N and 100 N.

[0063] Advantageously, the complementary unlocking element comprises at least one magnet whose adhesive force is greater than the adhesive force of the magnet of the complementary locking element.

[0064] In one embodiment, the complementary locking element may comprise a single magnet. In another embodiment, the unlocking element may comprise a plurality of magnets superimposed on each other. In a different embodiment, the unlocking element may comprise a plurality of magnets positioned next to each other.

[0065] Advantageously, the complementary unlocking element comprises at least one fixing means comprising alternating polarities.

[0066] In one embodiment, the complementary unlocking element may comprise a plurality of magnets positioned next to each other with a portion of the magnets whose visible face has a first polarity and another portion of the magnets whose visible face has a second polarity, the magnets having the first polarity being arranged alternately with the magnets having the second polarity.

[0067] In another embodiment, the complementary unlocking element may comprise a self-centering round toroidal magnet with radial magnetization comprising at least less an alternation of polarities.

[0068] Another aspect of the invention relates to an assembly comprising a wireless power or charging system and an unlocking device.

[0069] Another aspect of the invention relates to a unit for recharging a plurality of charging stations of a wireless power or charging system.

[0070] The charging unit may comprise five housings, each adapted to receive a charging station. In one embodiment, the charging unit may comprise ten housings, each adapted to receive a charging station. The charging unit may be adapted to be connected to the mains. The charging unit may comprise in each of the housings a complementary charging connector adapted to cooperate with a charging connector positioned on the lower face of said charging station.

[0071] Another aspect of the invention relates to a furniture tray comprising a lower face comprising a cavity adapted to receive at least a portion of a system.

[0072] The furniture tray may be a table, a furniture tray, a work surface, a desk, a bar tray or any flat surface on which an electronic device to be recharged may be placed.

[0073] Advantageously, the thickness of the plate between the bottom of the cavity and an upper face of said plate must be less than 40 mm.

[0074] In an embodiment using Qi wireless charging technology, the thickness between the bottom of the cavity and the upper face of the plate can advantageously be less than 20 mm, in particular less than 10 mm, in particular less than 8 mm.

[0075] This described thickness can allow waves to pass to allow induction recharging of the electronic device.

[0076] Advantageously, the cavity is arranged to receive at least a portion of an external face of the receiving device of the charging station.

[0077] The cavity is more or less deep so as to adapt to the thickness of the furniture tray so that the thickness between the bottom of the cavity and the upper face of said tray is adapted to that provided for the induction charging standard used.

[0078] The cavity may have a profile and dimensions similar to that of the receiving device.

[0079] Therefore, the depth of the cavity determines the dimensions of the portion of the external face of the receiving device which will be inserted into said cavity.

[0080] Advantageously, the cavity is adapted to receive the housing.

[0081] In this embodiment, the furniture tray can be thin, it is therefore no need to deeply insert the wireless power or charging system to obtain the necessary distance for wireless charging to operate. In this embodiment, only the housing of the receiving device, adapted to receive the protrusion of the charging station, comprising the antenna, may need to be inserted into the cavity. Thus, in this embodiment, the cavity may have a profile and dimensions substantially identical to those of the housing of the receiving device.

[0082] Advantageously, the cavity has two levels of depth so that the shape of the cavity is adapted to receive and cooperate with the external face of the receiving device.

[0083] In this embodiment, the furniture tray may be thick, so it is necessary to push the power supply or wireless charging system in to obtain the necessary distance for wireless charging to operate. In this embodiment, the housing and a portion of the bottom and side face of the receiving device may need to be inserted into the cavity. Thus, in this embodiment, the cavity may have a profile and dimensions substantially identical to those of the receiving device. Brief description of the figures.

[0098] The receiving device 11 comprises a cavity 110 adapted to receive the charging station 10. The cavity 110 is concave. The cavity 110 comprises a bottom 110.1 and a first side wall 110.2. The bottom 110.1 of the cavity 110 comprises a housing 110.10 comprising a bore 110.11. The housing 110.10 has a profile substantially identical to that of the projection 101.10.

[0099] The cavity 110 comprises a bottom 110.1 and a side wall comprising a first 110.2 and a second side wall 110.3. The first side wall 110.2 comprises an inner surface 110.20 on the side of the cavity 110 and an outer surface 110.21. The inner surface 110.20 and the outer surface 110.21 are connected to each other by an edge 110.22. The edge 110.22 is oblique towards the inside of the cavity 110, so that the inner surface 110.20 is shorter than the outer surface 110.21.

[0100] The junction between the edge 110.22 and the external surface 110.21 is adapted to be opposite and in continuity with the edge 101.20 of the charging station 10. When the charging station 10 is inserted into the receiving device 11, the lower face 101.2 of the charging station 10 and the external surface 110.21 of the cavity 110 of the receiving device 11 form a continuous surface broken by an angle formed by the edge 101.20 of the charging station 10 and by the junction between the edge 110.22 and the external surface 110.21 of the wall of the cavity 110.

[0101] When the charging station 10 is inserted into the cavity 110 of the receiving device 11, the upper face 101.1 is arranged opposite the bottom 110.1 so that the projection 101.10 is positioned in the housing 110.10. [0105] Each complementary locking element 111 is adapted to cooperate with the locking elements 102 and to adopt a locked configuration when the charging station 10 is installed in the cavity 110 of the receiving device 11. The magnet of the locking element 102 and the magnet of the complementary locking element 111 have reverse polarities.

[0106] The locking elements 102 and the complementary locking elements 111 are positioned so that they can be opposite each other when the charging station 10 is installed in the receiving device 11.

[0107] The charging station 10 is installed in the cavity 110 of the receiving device 11 so that the edge 101.20 of the lower face 101.2 is in contact with the first side wall 110.2 of the cavity 110 by defining an obtuse angle between the lower face 101.2 and the first side wall 110.2. The edge 101.20 is adapted to serve as a positioning member for the charging station 10 in the receiving device 11.

[0108] The receiving device 11 comprises fixing means (not shown in the diagrams) for being fixed to a lower face 20 of a furniture tray 2.

[0109] The unlocking device 12 of the wireless charging power supply system 1 is adapted to influence the charging station 10 so that said charging station 10 adopts an unlocked configuration. The unlocking device 12 comprises a closed cavity 120 in which the complementary unlocking element 121 is mounted. The cavity 120 is adapted to cooperate with the charging station 10, so that the complementary unlocking element 121 cooperates with the element of unlocking 103 of the charging station 10. The cavity 120 is located on the side of the upper face of the unlocking device when the latter is in the position in which it is placed to unlock the charging station 10. When the unlocking device 12 is positioned in contact with the charging station 10, the unlocking element 103 is positioned in contact with the charging station 10, the complementary unlocking element 121 is opposite the unlocking element 103 to cooperate with each other.

[0110] The magnet of the complementary unlocking element 121 of the unlocking device 12 has an adhesive force greater than the adhesive force of the magnet of the complementary locking element 111. The unlocking device 12 allows the locking element 102 of the charging station 10 and the complementary locking element 111 of the receiving device 11 to cease cooperating so that said battery 100 can be extracted from the cavity 100 of the receiving device 11.

[0111] The complementary unlocking element 131 comprises two magnets. The magnet of the unlocking element 103 and the magnet of the complementary unlocking element 121 have opposite polarities.

[0112] The receiving device is adapted to be positioned on the lower face 20 of a furniture tray 2. The lower face 20 comprises a cavity 200. The cavity 200 is adapted to receive the entire receiving device 11. The cavity 200 has two levels of depth so that the shape of the cavity 200 is adapted to receive the housing 110.10 and the second side wall 110.3 of the receiving device 11. The cavity 200 has a profile and dimensions substantially identical to those of the receiving device 11.

[0113] The thickness of the furniture tray 2 between the bottom of the cavity 200 and the upper face 21 of said tray 2 corresponds to the distance between the drilling 110.11 of the housing 110.10 and therefore the projection 101.10 of the charging station 10 and the electronic device to be recharged is less than 8 mm.

[0114] A charging unit 3 is adapted to charge a plurality of charging stations 10 of a wireless power or charging system. In the embodiment described in [Fig.5], the charging unit 3 comprises five charging spaces.

[0115] The preceding description clearly explains how the invention makes it possible to achieve the objectives it has set itself, namely to propose a wireless charging or electrical power supply system comprising a battery to provide the electrical power necessary for this charging or this power supply, which can be locked or unlocked simply and quickly while remaining unnoticed once installed on its support and which is difficult to tear off, by proposing a system wireless power supply or charging device comprising a charging station comprising a battery and a housing in which the battery is arranged, the housing having at least one locking element and at least one unlocking element arranged and; a receiving device comprising a cavity adapted to receive the charging station, said receiving device comprising at least one complementary locking element; the at least one locking element and the at least one complementary locking element being arranged to cooperate together and to adopt a locked configuration when the charging station is installed in the cavity of the receiving device and to adopt an unlocked configuration under the influence of an unlocking device comprising at least one complementary unlocking element adapted to cooperate with the unlocking element of the lower face of said charging station;a lower face of the housing comprises a continuous surface delimited by at least one edge, and when the charging station is installed in the cavity of the receiving device, said edge comes into contact with the side wall of said cavity by defining an obtuse angle between the lower face and the side wall.;
