Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Panty-type undergarment intended for post-operative use
[0001] The invention relates to a panty-type undergarment, intended for post-operative use by a patient. State of the art
[0002] Operations involving the vaginal, rectal, abdominal (body lift and others), urinary tracts, as well as caesareans and stomas, require patients to undergo extensive aftercare and require the use of suitable underwear.
[0003] It is particularly known to use underwear of the post-operative panty type, which is provided with a lining at the crotch, the main function of which is to absorb discharge, secretions, bleeding and urinary leaks.
[0004] Document CN202288548 thus proposes panties with an absorbent base which can be lined with a layer impregnated with therapeutic active ingredients.
[0005] Document TWM628307 also provides a panty with an absorbent bottom that has an improved leak-proof structure and an antibacterial function.
[0006] However, the products on the market often have a limited absorption capacity both in terms of the volume of liquid to be absorbed and in terms of the coverage of the parts of the human body requiring absorption. For example, current underwear does not always allow for the treatment of post-operative effects of a caesarean section, rectal resection, abdominal surgeries (body lift and others) and prolapse or a stoma.
[0007] Furthermore, the materials used are not always suitable for the epidermal areas surrounding the operated area. Indeed, the materials of these types of underwear are not always suitable for scars, whether hypertrophic or not, as well as for local modifications of the epidermis. Statement of the invention
[0008] This is why the invention proposes to remedy all or part of the drawbacks mentioned above by proposing an extended absorbent function as well as a containment function at least in the ventral and dorsal area of the patient.
[0009] The invention relates in particular to a panty-type undergarment intended for post-operative use by a patient, the undergarment defining a first part called ventral and a second part called dorsal, the two parts being made from the same first textile material, the underwear further comprising a third absorbent part covering at least one area called crotch, characterized in that the third absorbent part extends to or under the first part called ventral at least along a first distance hioi so as to cover the patient's pubis, as well as to or under the second part called dorsal at least along a second distance hi02 to reach the patient's coccyx.
[0010] Various embodiments of the invention are provided, integrating according to all of their possible combinations the different optional characteristics set out below.
[0011] Preferably, the first textile material allows a warp and weft type weave so as to ensure support at the ventral and dorsal levels.
[0012] According to a certain particular embodiment, the first textile material is composed of a mixture of polyamide and elastane fibers in a ratio of 60 to 70% for the polyamide fibers and 30 to 40% for the elastane fibers.
[0013] Advantageously, the first textile material is composed of a mixture of polyamide and elastane fibers in a ratio of 66 to 70% for the polyamide fibers and 30 to 34% for the elastane fibers, preferably in a ratio of 68% for the polyamide fibers and 32% for the elastane fibers.
[0014] According to a preferred aspect of the invention, the first textile material has a thickness of between 0.1 and 0.2 mm.
[0015] According to another also preferred aspect of the invention, the first textile material has a density of less than 200 g / m2. The textile material C1 may also have barrier properties to UVA and UVB rays. Scars in fact have weak protection against UVA and B rays and can be the site of cellular degeneration leading to skin cancers.
[0016] According to another also preferred aspect of the invention, the first textile material also has barrier properties to UVA and UVB rays. Scars in fact have weak protection against UVA and B rays and can be the site of cellular degeneration leading to skin cancers.
[0017] According to another particular embodiment, the third absorbent part comprises between two and four superimposed layers, with at least one impermeable layer and one absorbent layer, the impermeable layer being arranged on the outer side and the absorbent layer being arranged on the inner side.
[0018] Preferably, the third absorbent part further comprises a draining layer intended to cover the absorbent layer.
[0019] Even more preferably, the waterproof layer is made of a waterproof membrane, the absorbent layer is made of a mixed textile in Polyamide / Polyester / Elastane in a mesh-type weave, and the draining layer is made of a polyester textile in a mesh-type weave.
[0020] According to another preferred aspect of the invention, the first part called the ventral part, the second part called the dorsal part, as well as the third absorbent part, are assembled together by gluing or by heat-sealing.
[0021] According to yet another particular embodiment, the first part called ventral, the second part called dorsal are separate and connected to each other at the level of the area called crotch by means of the third absorbent part (10).
[0022] According to yet another particular embodiment, the first part called ventral, the second part called dorsal join at the level of the area called crotch, so that the third absorbent part forms a lining.
[0023] According to yet another particular embodiment, the first part called ventral is entirely lined so as to be made up of two thicknesses of the same first textile material.
[0024] According to yet another particular embodiment, the second part called dorsal is partially lined so as to be made up of two thicknesses of the same first textile material at the level of its upper part intended to cover the patient's lumbar region. List of figures

[0035] The embodiments described below being in no way limiting, it will be possible in particular to consider variants of the invention comprising only a selection of described characteristics, isolated from the other described characteristics (even if this selection is isolated within a sentence comprising these other characteristics), if this selection of characteristics is sufficient to confer a technical advantage or to differentiate the invention compared to the state of the prior art. This selection comprises at least one characteristic, preferably functional without structural details, or with only a part of the structural details if this part only is sufficient to confer a technical advantage or to differentiate the invention compared to the state of the prior art.
[0036] For the sake of brevity and clarity, the elements bear the same references in the different figures.
[0037] Figures 1 and 2 represent a schematic view of the interior of an undergarment 1 of the panty type and intended for postoperative use by a patient according to a first embodiment of the invention.
[0038] The underwear defines a first part called ventral 11 and a second part called dorsal 12, the two parts being made from the same textile material CL
[0039] The underwear further comprises a third absorbent part 10 covering at least one area called the crotch 13.
[0040] According to the invention, the third absorbent part extends at the level of the first part called ventral 101 at least along a first distance hioi so as to cover the patient's pubis, as well as at the level of the second part called dorsal 102 at least along a second distance hi02 to the patient's coccyx.
[0041] According to a first embodiment, the first part called ventral 11 and the second part called dorsal 12, join at the level of the area called crotch 13. Thus, the third absorbent part 10 extends along a portion referenced 101, under the first part called ventral 11, and extends along a portion referenced 102, under the second part called dorsal 12. The third absorbent part 10 thus forms a lining.
[0042] According to a second embodiment shown in figures 3 and 4 which represent a schematic view of the inside or the outside of the underwear 1, the first part called ventral 11 and the second part called dorsal 12, are disjointed since only the third absorbent part 10 covers the area called crotch 13. According to this variant, the third absorbent part 10 extends along a portion referenced 101, up to the first part called ventral 11, and extends along a portion referenced 102, up to the second part called dorsal 12.
[0043] As can be seen, the post-operative panties according to the invention have an extended absorption zone which makes it possible to protect scars from a wide range of surgical operations (such as anal, vaginal, abdominal (body lift and other) surgeries, prolapse, stomas, caesareans) and to absorb discharges following these operations.
[0044] According to an improvement of the invention, the first textile material C1 of the first so-called ventral part 11 and of the second so-called dorsal part 12 admits a warp and weft type weave so as to ensure support at the ventral level and at the dorsal level. A warp and weft weave is made up of intertwined threads, the warp threads being parallel to the selvedge of the fabric (in the length of the fabric), the weft threads being perpendicular to them (in the width of the fabric). It is mainly this type of weaving which makes it possible to obtain support in both dimensions (length and width). In the two embodiments shown respectively in figures 1 and 2, and 3 and 4, the first so-called ventral part 11 and the second so-called dorsal part 12 together have a support zone 14 which is both ventral and dorsal.
[0045] Advantageously and in order to reinforce the support, the first part called ventral 11 is entirely lined so as to be made up of two thicknesses defining a ventral support zone 141 of the same first textile material Cl. This also makes it possible to keep the undergarment deployed on the skin and to prevent it from rolling up on itself.
[0046] Also advantageously and in order to reinforce the support, the second part called dorsal 12 is partially lined so as to be made up of two thicknesses of the same first textile material C1 at the level of its upper part intended to cover the patient's lower back. This dorsal support zone 142 also makes it possible to keep the underwear deployed on the skin and to prevent it from rolling up on itself.
[0047] Warp and weft weaving, which overcomes the drawbacks of mesh weaving, preferentially uses a single, covered and balanced yarn. (i.e. torque-free), from end to end. This limits abrasive effects and makes it an ultra-resistant technical thread.
[0048] According to a preferred aspect of this improvement, the first textile material C1 is composed of a mixture of polyamide and elastane fibers in a ratio of 60 to 70% for the polyamide fibers and 30 to 40% for the elastane fibers.
[0049] The composition of this textile material, combined with the warp and weft weaving, allows for a biaxial elongation greater than a conventional mesh, i.e. 20% additional elongation. This textile material also allows for dynamic behavior with significant multidirectional extensions, which result in freedom of movement in all directions without deforming, and with significant muscle support.
[0050] Preferably, the first textile material C1 is composed of a mixture of polyamide and elastane fibers in a ratio of 66 to 70% for the polyamide fibers and 30 to 34% for the elastane fibers, preferably in a ratio of 68% for the polyamide fibers and 32% for the elastane fibers.
[0051] the textile material Cl can advantageously have a thickness of between 0.1 and 0.2 mm.
[0052] the textile material Cl can advantageously have a density of less than 200 g / m2.
[0053] The textile material Cl can also have barrier properties against UVA and UVB rays. Scars in fact have weak protection against UVA and B rays and can be the site of cellular degeneration leading to skin cancers.
[0054] For example, textile materials of the AQUATECH® type may be used, which use elastic covered yarns of the PAGASTIC® type, in a ratio of 68% for polyamide fibers and 32% for elastane fibers. These fabrics allow multidimensional stretching, while providing superior muscle support to other textile materials of equivalent compositions. As a result, these fabrics adapt to the movements of muscles and joints which are naturally accompanied by multidirectional deformation of the textile. For example, and as shown in Figures 6 and 7, a multidirectional elongation of 120% is achieved without resistance.
[0055] The density of AQUATECH® type textile materials ranges from 50 to 230 g / m2, which makes these fabrics approximately 35% lighter than conventional fabrics used for postoperative panty-type underwear. As shown in [Fig.8], these fabrics have a density of around 120 g / m2. This 35% gain is even more effective when the postoperative panty is used in an aquatic environment. Indeed, AQUATECH® type textile materials are also compatible with uses in aquatic environments, which are popular with certain post-operative follow-up treatments such as spa treatments, rehabilitation in swimming pools, etc.
[0056] AQUATECH® type textile materials also have significant resistance to abrasion and chemical components since they withstand classic Martindale tests such as the FS ISO 12947-2 test, with no damage observed after 500,000 cycles (see [Fig.9]). Regarding chlorine resistance, after 60 hours of bathing, AQUATECH® type textile materials lose only 17% of elasticity compared to 70% for a classic mesh structure.
[0057] Textile materials of the AQUATECH® type have an ultra-rapid drying quality, i.e. 3 minutes compared to 10 to 17 minutes for mesh according to standard NF G07 166.
[0058] Textile materials of the AQUATECH® type also have the advantage of being breathable since air and water slide over these materials without penetrating the fibers.
[0059] Textile materials of the AQUATECH® type have very high performance UV protection, since the measurement of the UV protection index according to the AS / NZS 4399 standard produces a score higher than 700 UPF, which makes it possible to easily satisfy the highest level of protection, i.e. 50 +.
[0060] Concerning the third absorbent part 10, its textile material CIO preferably comprises between two and four superimposed layers, with at least one impermeable layer ClOa and one absorbent layer ClOb, the impermeable layer being arranged on the outer side and the absorbent layer being arranged on the inner side.
[0061] Preferably, the third absorbent part CIO further comprises a draining layer ClOc intended to cover the absorbent layer.
[0062] As shown in a preferred embodiment in [Fig. 5], the textile material CIO making up the third absorbent part comprises an impermeable layer ClOa consisting of an impermeable membrane, an absorbent layer ClOb consisting of a mixed textile of Polyamide / Polyester / Elastane in a mesh-type weave, and a draining layer ClOc consisting of a polyester textile also in a mesh-type weave.
[0063] The polyamide and elastane of the ClOb absorbent layer give said layer its absorbent character, while the “cool max” standard polyester gives said layer its breathable and quick-drying character.
[0064] The third absorbent part 10 thus allows the scars to remain dry to facilitate healing, while absorbing fluids. The absorption capacity amounts in particular to 25 to 35 ml per day.
[0065] In order to preserve the skin and seal the boundaries between the third absorbent part 10, the first so-called ventral part 11 and the second so-called dorsal part 12, the assembly between the third absorbent part 10, and the first and second part is made by gluing or by heat-sealing.
[0066] All CIO and Cl textile materials are OEKOTEX 100 and REACH certified. The Œko-Tex Standard 100 label is a quality label, also called “Confiance Textile” in France, which guarantees the safety of textiles or products used during the production process, for humans and the environment. REACH certification is based on a European regulation (regulation no. 1907 / 2006) which came into force in 2007 to secure the manufacture and use of chemical substances in European industry.
[0067] In summary, the first part called ventral 11 and the second part called dorsal 12 allow, due to the first textile material Cl constituting them, to:
[0068] protect post-operative abdominal and lumbar scars, particularly against friction and UV rays (scars have weak protection against UVA and B rays and can be the site of cellular degeneration leading to skin cancers),
[0069] slow down the formation of hypertrophic scars,
[0070] protect old and painful hypertrophic scars, particularly against friction and UV rays,
[0071] keep the epidermis and scars dry
[0072] the third absorbent part 10 allows, due to its CIO textile material constituting it, to:
[0073] absorb menstruation or postpartum bleeding or bleeding from certain gynecological operations,
[0074] absorb menstruation and urinary leaks,
[0075] relieve and protect perineal scars (episiotomy, perineum, prolapse, etc.), and anal scars (hemorrhoidal resection, etc.).
[0076] Thus, the underwear which is the subject of the invention can also take the form of a thong, boxer shorts or a one-piece bodysuit.
[0077] Of course, the invention is not limited to the examples which have just been described and numerous adjustments can be made to these examples without departing from the scope of the invention. Nomenclature
