Description

Title of the invention: VEHICLE COMPRISING TWO MOUNTING STRUCTURES CAPABLE OF HEATING AN ELECTRIC BATTERY

[0001] The invention relates to the transformation of a vehicle with thermal propulsion into a vehicle that is at least partially electric.

[0002] Prior art patent application US2917246943 is known, describing a motor vehicle comprising a body floor, a battery, and a plurality of reinforcement bars. The floor has an underside facing the ground to which the battery is fixed. The floor includes a longitudinally arranged tunnel that supports the battery. The tunnel has an opening at the rear of the vehicle. The plurality of reinforcement bars includes longitudinal and transverse reinforcement bars. The plurality of reinforcement bars forms a structure for supporting the tunnel. The presence of the reinforcement bars prevents deformation of the tunnel and, consequently, damage to the battery. However, a drawback remains. A motor vehicle battery is bulky, and therefore the tunnel protecting it is also quite large. Therefore, adding such a tunnel adds significant weight to the vehicle. Furthermore, installing the battery and the tunnel is difficult due to this constraint.

[0003] The objective of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks by proposing a motor vehicle comprising a means of integrating a battery which can be easily implemented, and without unduly increasing the weight of said vehicle.

[0004] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes a motor vehicle with internal combustion propulsion comprising a running gear whose points of contact with the ground define a base plane defined by a first longitudinal direction corresponding to straight-line driving, and by a second transverse direction orthogonal to the first direction and a third vertical direction orthogonal to the first longitudinal direction and to the second transverse direction and is oriented away from the ground, said vehicle comprising a chassis and a battery, said chassis comprising a first set of perforations and a first opening, and said vehicle comprising two fastening structures, each fastening structure comprising an upper surface and a lower surface along the third direction, said upper surface comprising a plurality of hooks inserted into said first set and a second opening, said lower surface comprising a second set of perforations, said fixing structure comprising a first screw, inserted into said first opening and into said second opening, said first screw being held by a first nut, said battery comprising a plurality of screws inserted into said second assembly, said plurality of screws being held by a plurality of nuts.

[0005] Thanks to the invention, the battery is integrated into the vehicle simply, quickly, and without significantly increasing the vehicle's weight. Furthermore, no special equipment is required for installing the battery.

[0006] Advantageously, said first nut is a cage nut.

[0007] A cage nut is simpler to handle than a conventional nut, which saves time when assembling said fastening structure to the vehicle.

[0008] Advantageously, said fixing structures are arranged parallel to each other in the first direction.

[0009] Advantageously, said fixing structures are arranged parallel to each other in the second direction.

[0010] Preferably, said fixing structures have a length between 2 m and 5 m.

[0011] A standard vehicle has a length varying from 4 m to 5 m. Thus, the said fixing structures can be adapted to each vehicle.

[0012] Preferably, said fixing structures have a width between 3 cm and 10 cm.

[0013] In this way, the fastening structures are lightweight. The vehicle is therefore not excessively weighed down.

[0014] Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for assembling an electric battery to a previously described internal combustion engine motor vehicle, said method comprising the following steps: - a step of placing each fixing structure so that said plurality of hooks is arranged opposite the first set of perforations; - a step of raising each fixing structure along the third vertical direction, said plurality of hooks fitting into said first set of perforations; - a step of fixing said plurality of hooks to the chassis by translational movement of each fixing structure; - a step of inserting said first screw into said first opening and into said second opening; - a tightening step for said first nut; - a step of inserting said plurality of screws into said second assembly; - a step of locking said plurality of screws by putting in place said plurality of nuts.

[0015] Adding an electric battery to a thermal propulsion vehicle allows its transformation into a vehicle with at least partial electric propulsion.

[0016] The invention will be further detailed by describing non-limiting embodiments, and based on the accompanying figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which: - [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a fixing structure intended to be fixed to the chassis of a motor vehicle; - [Fig.2] schematically illustrates the fixing structure attached to the chassis of a motor vehicle; - [Fig.3] schematically illustrates, in the form of a flowchart, a process assembly of an electric battery to a motor vehicle with internal combustion propulsion.

[0017] Figure 1 schematically illustrates a motor vehicle 100 comprising a chassis 1 and a battery 2. The vehicle 100 has a running gear whose points of contact with the ground define a basic XY plane defined by a first longitudinal direction X corresponding to straight-line travel, and by a second transverse direction Y orthogonal to the first X direction, and a third vertical direction Z orthogonal to the first longitudinal X direction and the second transverse Y direction, and oriented away from the ground. The chassis 1 has a first set 3 of perforations. In Figure 1, the first set 3 has three perforations. In addition, the chassis 1 has a first opening 4. The vehicle 100 has two mounting structures 5. The mounting structures 5 are parallel and arranged along the first X direction. In an alternative embodiment, the fastening structures 5 are parallel and arranged along the second Y direction. For clarity, only one fastening structure 5 is shown in [Fig. 1]. Preferably, each fastening structure 5 has a length between 2 m and 5 m. Advantageously, each fastening structure 5 has a width between 3 cm and 10 cm. In [Fig. 1], the vehicle 100 is not yet equipped with the fastening structures, and the battery 2 is therefore not yet integrated into said vehicle 100. The fastening structure 1 has an upper surface and a lower surface along the third vertical Z direction. The upper surface has a plurality of hooks 6. In [Fig. 1], three hooks 6 are shown. The plurality of hooks 6 are intended to be inserted into said first set 3 of perforations. In addition, said upper surface has a second opening 7.The lower surface has a second set 8 of perforations. In [Fig. 1], said second set 8 comprises 3 perforations. The battery 2 has a plurality of screws 9 suitable for fitting into said second set 8.

[0018] In [Fig.2], said fixing structure 5 is fixed to the chassis 1 of the vehicle 100. Indeed, the plurality of hooks 6 is inserted into the perforations of the first assembly 3. The first opening 4 and the second opening 7 are pierced by a first screw 10. The first screw reinforces the support of the fixing structure 5 by means of the support provided by the plurality of hooks 6. The first screw 10 is itself held in place by a first nut 11. Preferably, the first nut 11 is a cage nut. The cage nut is a steel cage into which a nut is inserted, allowing for greater freedom when inserting the first screw 10. The cage nut saves time during assembly because the nut is constrained by the cage and its use does not require any special tools. The battery 2 is attached to the fixing structure 5 by means of the plurality of screws 9. The plurality of screws 9 is held in place by a plurality of nuts 12.

[0019] Figure 3 schematically illustrates, in the form of a flowchart, a method for assembling an electric battery to a motor vehicle with internal combustion engine propulsion. During a placement step 1E1, each fastening structure 5 is positioned below the chassis 1 along the third direction Z. The plurality of hooks 6 is arranged opposite said first assembly 3. During a lifting step E2, each mounting structure is raised along the third direction Z so that the plurality of hooks 6 pass through the perforations of the first assembly 3. During a fastening step E3, each mounting structure undergoes a translational movement. In this way, the plurality of hooks 6 allows each mounting structure 5 to be attached to the frame 1. During an insertion step E4, the first screw 10 enters the second opening 7, and then the first opening 4, to join the mounting structure 5 to the frame 1. During a tightening step E5, a first nut 11 is tightened around the first screw 1 to secure the connection between the mounting structure 5 and the frame 1. During a plugging step E6, the plurality of screws 9 is inserted into the perforations of the second assembly 8.During a locking step E7, the plurality of nuts 12 is fixed to the plurality of screws 9 in order to secure said plurality of screws 9. Thus, the connection between said battery 2 and each fastening structure 5 is secured. The process makes it possible to transform a 100 internal combustion engine vehicle into a vehicle with at least partial electric propulsion.
