Description

Title of the invention: Ventilation grille Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to the field of ventilation grilles, in particular custom-made ones, for buildings, in particular made from extruded aluminium profiles. It can be fixed to a suction or discharge ventilation duct, or to a simple air inlet for a technical room or a cellar, and be directly exposed to the weather. Prior art

[0002] Ventilation grilles for buildings are known, which comprise a frame carrying slats. Such grilles are known, for example, by the following references and companies: Lindab ® WLA-11 and WLA-22, France Air ® GEA, DucoGrille Classic, Solid and Close, PANOL DS ALU and Renson ® 411.

[0003] However, these grids can be expensive or require complex or inflexible assembly.

[0004] There is a need to improve the design, assembly, maintenance of ventilation grilles, and to increase their durability and safety. Summary of the invention

[0005] The invention aims to meet this need and thus has as its subject a ventilation grille, comprising a frame carrying blades providing ventilation passages, the frame comprising assembled frame parts, in particular four assembled frame parts, the frame parts each comprising at least one groove, in particular two grooves, and being connected two by two at their ends by a fixing bracket configured to allow the frame to be mounted and dismounted.

[0006] According to the invention, the fixing bracket can be fixed in the grooves of the corresponding frame parts by screwing and optionally by gluing, the glue being intended to be injected between the bracket and the frame parts through a passage of the fixing bracket provided for this purpose.

[0007] Thanks to the invention, the ventilation grille is completely removable and reassemblable, the frame parts and the fixing bracket do not undergo plastic deformation during assembly of the grille. Thus, it is possible and easy to change any part of the grille if necessary. Ordinary tools can be used, there is no need for specific tools.

[0008] The precision and speed of assembly are improved. The use of the bracket and its screwing allow extremely efficient and repeatable self-tightening, i.e. disassemblable and reassemblable.

[0009] In addition, the frame can be cut to size, to the necessary dimensions.

[0010] The invention makes it possible to increase the durability of the ventilation grille and provides numerous advantages, in particular thanks to the robustness of the various parts of the ventilation grille; the removable and interchangeable nature of all the parts of the ventilation grille, which guarantees its repairability ad vitam aetemam; the standardization of certain parts of the ventilation grille, in particular their compliance with European standards; a high-performance blade mounting system to facilitate their assembly and delay break-ins due to the removal or disassembly of the blades; accessories which facilitate the installation of the grille while guaranteeing excellent mechanical strength; optimized aeraulic behavior, allowing the reduction of the initial investment of the building's ventilation systems as well as the energy consumption associated with use;finally, notable effectiveness in protecting the building from bad weather, particularly with regard to water entering the ventilation openings.

[0011] The invention also makes it possible to improve safety, the ventilation grille having good resistance against tearing which limits damage and helps to secure the building where it is installed. This also further increases durability.

[0012] The ventilation grille according to the invention is intended for a ventilation circuit or a ventilation duct. Alternatively, it can be used without a duct, for example on a cellar or technical room opening, or on cladding. The ventilation grille can be fixed to a suction or discharge ventilation duct, or to a simple air inlet for a technical room or cellar. The ventilation grille is generally directly exposed to the weather.

[0013] The ventilation grille according to the invention can advantageously be fixed to a pipe without necessarily needing to access the inside of the pipe. Description of the invention Bracket

[0014] The fixing bracket may comprise two wings oriented at 90° to each other, with an angle of 90° between them. Each of the wings may be approximately 50 mm long.

[0015] The fixing bracket may include a passage for injecting the glue, provided in a corner thereof. The passage may be a through passage, leading from one face of the fixing bracket to the other. It may extend along an axis oriented at 45° relative to the two wings of the fixing bracket.

[0016] The fixing bracket can be made of aluminum or aluminum alloy, for example example zamak.

[0017] The fixing bracket may comprise at least one, or even two lateral shoulders. The two lateral shoulders may be configured to cooperate with edges of the corresponding frame part which delimit the groove, allowing the fixing bracket to be held in the groove.

[0018] A fixing bracket may include a clamping system activated by means of a screwdriver. The clamping system clamps the bracket to the edge of the frame part.

[0019] In an alternative embodiment, the fixing bracket can be fixed in the grooves of the corresponding frame parts by screwing and by gluing, the glue being intended to be injected between the bracket and the frame parts through a passage of the fixing bracket provided for this purpose.

[0020] The use of glue allows for better sealing of the ventilation grille and better resistance, while avoiding any waste of glue. It is optional, the mechanical strength of the tightening of the screws of the bracket being nevertheless sufficient as such to ensure the assembly of the ventilation grille. Frame part

[0021] The frame parts may each be rectilinear. They may be rectilinear profiles. The frame part profile may be cut, in particular to size, at 45° before assembly with the other frame parts.

[0022] The ventilation grille may comprise a lower frame portion, an upper frame portion, and two side frame portions.

[0023] The frame parts can be completely disassembled and reassembled, the frame parts do not undergo plastic deformation during assembly of the grid. They are interchangeable.

[0024] The frame parts may each comprise a portion of groove in which the groove(s) intended to receive the fixing bracket are provided.

[0025] The frame parts may each further comprise a protective portion which may extend perpendicular to the groove portion when the frame part is viewed in cross-section.

[0026] The protective portion may extend, when the frame part is observed in cross-section, over a length L which may vary. In the case where the ventilation grille is intended to be installed in a so-called tunnel installation, slid inside a conduit, the length L may be small, being for example less than 20 mm, or even less than 15 mm, better still less than 10 mm, being for example of the order of 30 mm. In the case where the ventilation grille is intended to be installed in a so-called surface-mounted installation or covering a wall, the length L may be large, being for example greater than 5 mm, or even greater than 10 mm, better still greater than 20 mm, being for example the order of 22 mm.

[0027] Thanks to the shape of the frame parts in cross-section, the rigidity of the ventilation grille according to the invention is improved, as is its durability, without its mass being increased too much.

[0028] The mass stiffness of the frame profiles, defined as the ratio of the force applied to the profile divided by the product of the measured deformation and the linear mass of the profile, can for example reach a value of 1.70 for a tunnel frame, and 4.4 for a surface-mounted frame. The deflection of the frame part profile, 1.3 m long, carried over 0.3 m with a 1 m overhang, under the effect of a force of 1 kg placed at its end, can for example be only 21 mm for a tunnel frame and only 7 mm for a surface-mounted frame. The quadratic moment of the frame parts is improved. For an equal ventilation grille size, in particular its length and width, the grille frame is more rigid.

[0029] A frame part may comprise two parallel grooves, which may make the frame more rigid, even with large dimensions thereof.

[0030] In one embodiment, a single fixing bracket is provided per corner of the frame, in which case the bracket can be placed in the groove closest to the outside. The grid can have four fixing brackets.

[0031] For frames with dimensions of, for example, less than 700 mm, a single bracket can be used at each corner of the frame.

[0032] A frame part may comprise two parallel grooves, two consecutive frame parts being connected to each other by two fixing brackets fixed parallel to each other.

[0033] In one embodiment, a single fixing bracket per corner of the frame may be sufficient. However, it may be useful to have two fixing brackets per corner of the frame, particularly in the case where the frame exceeds certain dimensions, for example greater than 700 x 700 mm. For frames with dimensions for example greater than 700 mm, and which may reach dimensions of 2300 x 3000 mm, the brackets may be doubled at each corner. Two brackets may thus be used at each corner of the frame. The grid may have eight fixing brackets.

[0034] In accordance with the European standard for the shape and size of the Eurogroove groove, the dimensions of the groove are characterized by the opening and the width at the bottom of the groove. They can be 10x14.5 mm, 12x15 mm, 13.6x16.8 mm, 15x20 mm, or 14x18 mm. This allows standardized hardware elements to be accommodated, such as fixing elements or hinges, to make the grille an opening.

[0035] Each frame part may include a fixing portion, to which a blade holder may be fixed, which will be described below. The fixing portion may extend perpendicular to the throat portion and parallel to the guard portion, when the frame portion is observed in cross-section. Blade holder

[0036] The ventilation grille may also comprise at least one blade support, in particular two blade supports, in particular on either side of the blades.

[0037] The blade support(s) may each be rectilinear. They may be rectilinear profiles.

[0038] A blade support can be fixed on each of two opposite frame parts, and / or possibly on a stiffener, installed as reinforcement inside the frame, in particular by clinching.

[0039] These are preferably the two side frame parts, which are intended to be placed vertically once the ventilation grille is in place in the ventilation duct.

[0040] The other two frame parts, lower and upper, may be without a blade support. These are preferably the two frame parts intended to be placed horizontally once the ventilation grille is in place in the ventilation duct.

[0041] Each blade holder may be attached to a fixing portion of the corresponding frame part.

[0042] The blade support can be fixed to the corresponding frame part by clinching, being in particular free of rivets. Such an assembly operation is simple and quick, and economical due to the absence of rivets.

[0043] The blade support(s) are mounted on each of two lateral frame parts, they undergo plastic deformation during assembly of the grid, in particular due to clinching. If necessary, they can be removed, by drilling the beads due to clinching, and can be replaced or reassembled with rivets.

[0044] The blade holder may comprise a plurality of hooks and blade holders, arranged in an alternating manner, wherein a hook and a blade holder are configured to receive a blade.

[0045] A blade may be received in the blade holder by being inserted under the hook and snapped into the blade holder. Each blade may cooperate with a hook and a blade holder located just below the hook.

[0046] The blade support hook may have a rounded comma shape adapted to accommodate and retain the top of the blade profiles, in a gutter shape, to prevent water from entering behind the ventilation grille.

[0047] The installation of a blade may comprise a first step of inserting the top of the blade under the hook, then a second step of snapping a hook of the blade into a return arranged at the end of the corresponding blade holder.

[0048] The hook and the blade holder intended to receive the same blade can be separated. with a distance d between 20 and 32 mm, or even between 22 and 30 mm, better between 24 and 28 mm, being for example approximately 27.4 mm.

[0049] The blade holder and the hook intended to receive two consecutive blades can be separated by a distance a of between 2 and 12 mm, or even between 4 and 10 mm, better still between 6 and 8 mm, being for example approximately 6.6 mm.

[0050] The blade holder can carry between 3 and 9 blades, or even between 4 and 8 blades, better between 5 and 7 blades, for example 6 blades.

[0051] The hook of the blade support may have a rounded comma shape, allowing it to accommodate the top of the gutter blade profiles, it may also be provided with a return at its end. The hooks of the blade support may in particular each comprise a return configured to cooperate with an upper hook of the corresponding blade.

[0052] The cooperation of the upper hook of the blade with the return of the hook of the blade support makes it possible to prevent the blade from sliding downwards. It makes it possible to provide resistance to tearing. This gives the ventilation grille improved anti-burglary security.

[0053] The hook of the blade holder is in the shape of a portion of a circle, it does not have a flattened portion.

[0054] The blades can simply be snapped into the blade holder, in a simple and removable manner.

[0055] The assembly can be anti-tear, due to the cooperation of the lower hook of the blade with the return of the blade holder.

[0056] Alternatively, the blades can be riveted to the blade support, which can be advantageously considered as an emergency solution for reattaching a blade to a blade support when the connecting elements between the two are damaged or when anti-tear securing of the grid proves necessary.

[0057] A hook and a blade holder intended to receive two consecutive blades can be separated by a cutting point allowing the blade holder to be cut.

[0058] The cutting point allows easy, clean and precise cutting of the blade holder, at a precise point located between a hook and the next blade holder, at the base of the blade holder.

[0059] The cutting point is defined by a narrowing of the blade holder.

[0060] The distance bl between the cutting point and the nearest hook can be between 2 and 17 mm, or even between 3 and 13 mm, better between 4 and 7 mm, being for example approximately 5.4 mm.

[0061] The distance b2 between the cutting point and the nearest blade holder may be between 0 and 16 mm, or even between 0.5 and 8 mm, better still between 1 and 2 mm, being for example approximately 1.2 mm.

[0062] Whether on a given blade support or at the junction of two successive blade supports, the distance between a blade holder and the next hook of a blade support can be small, with a difference of less than 4 mm, or even less than 3 mm, better still less than 2 mm, being for example of the order of 0.4 mm.

[0063] By choosing these gaps, the blade holder can be cut to the desired length without wasted waste or unnecessary stock, which is economical. The cut remainder can also be used on a subsequently assembled ventilation grille. This allows the blade holder scraps to be reused from one grille to another.

[0064] In one embodiment, the distance between a blade holder and the consecutive hook of a blade support may be substantially always the same. Such a configuration allows the reuse of scrap blade supports.

[0065] Furthermore, the presence of a hook at the start and end of each blade support also allows for end-to-end assembly of the successive blade supports on the frame, which aims to secure the interval between two successive blades, limited by the play in the hooks. The latter may be less than 4 mm, or even less than 3 mm, better still less than 1 mm, being for example of the order of 0.4 mm. Blades

[0066] The ventilation grille may comprise a plurality of blades, in particular so-called standard blades which make up the majority of the plurality of blades.

[0067] The blade(s) may each be rectilinear. They may be rectilinear profiles.

[0068] The blade(s) are fully removable and reassemblable, the blades do not undergo no plastic deformation when mounting the grid. The blades may undergo elastic deformation when mounting on the grid.

[0069] The plurality of blades may also comprise, in addition to the so-called standard blades which make up the majority of the plurality of blades, at least one upper blade, in particular a single upper blade, which is the blade intended to be arranged above the other blades. The upper blade may be arranged along a frame portion placed horizontally at the top of the ventilation grille. The upper blade comprises an extension portion of the upper hook, which may allow it to come closer to the frame. The extension portion makes it possible to extend upwards the protection provided by the blades, in particular against rain or other bad weather, and to minimize the passage of air above the upper blade. The space between the upper blade and the frame is thus minimized, for an aesthetic finish of the grille.

[0070] The plurality of blades may also comprise, in addition to the so-called standard blades which make up the majority of the plurality of blades, at least one lower blade, in particular a single lower blade, which is the blade intended to be arranged in- below the other blades. The lower blade can be arranged along a part of the frame placed horizontally at the bottom of the ventilation grille.

[0071] Depending on the height of the frame, the lower blade can be adapted with various lengths. It can be elongated, standard or shortened, comprising a lower vertical portion extending more or less. The vertical portion extends vertically, when the lower blade is observed in a plane transverse to it. The vertical portion can thus come flush with the frame part placed horizontally at the bottom of the ventilation grille, whatever the height of the frame, which can for example advantageously protect the ventilation grille from rain or other bad weather, and minimize the passage of air below the lower blade, giving an aesthetic finish to the grille. The space between the lower blade and the frame is thus minimized.

[0072] The lower blade may alternatively be shortened, thus being devoid of such a vertical portion, which may prevent the blade from being easily caught.

[0073] At least one blade, or even all the blades of the ventilation grille, may comprise an upper hook, in particular in the form of a gutter, making it possible to prevent water from penetrating behind the ventilation grille, and intended to cooperate with a corresponding hook of the ventilation grille, in particular a hook of the blade support. Thus, the mounting of the blade on the blade support is very advantageously resistant to tearing.

[0074] The cooperation of the upper hook of the blade with the hook of the blade holder makes it possible to prevent the blade from sliding downwards and to provide resistance to tearing.

[0075] On a blade support according to the invention, a blade can be loaded punctually with a mass of 100 kg before being torn off its blade support. This mass can be raised to 120 kg on anti-tear blade supports.

[0076] The upper hook may be gutter-shaped, to prevent water from entering behind the ventilation grille.

[0077] According to the European directives of the standard EN 13030:2001, a ventilation grille of 1 m by 1 m with mosquito net and rainwater recovery profile, subjected to rain at 75 mm / hour and a headwind at 13 ms-1 can for example have an effectiveness in preventing the penetration of rainwater, defined as the ratio of the volume of water rejected by the grille divided by the volume of water sprayed on the grille, reaching 99% with a suction at 0 ms-1 which is worth a class A categorization, 98.1% with a suction at 1 ms-1 which is worth a class B categorization, 87.8% with a suction at 2 ms-1 which is worth a class C categorization, 21.7% with a suction at 4 ms-1 which is worth a class D categorization. Resistance to rainwater penetration is thus generally improved.

[0078] The upper hook of the blade is in the shape of a portion of a circle, it does not have a flattened portion.

[0079] At least one blade, or even all the blades of the ventilation grille, may comprise a lower hook intended to cooperate with a corresponding return of the ventilation grille, in particular a return of the blade support, in particular a return of the blade holder of the blade support. The lower hook makes it possible to prevent the blade embedded in the blade support from being torn off. The lower hook of the blade is in the shape of a portion of a circle; it does not comprise a flattened portion.

[0080] The ventilation grille according to the invention makes it possible to improve ventilation flows once the grille is installed. It makes it possible to reduce energy losses, to optimize the passage of the air flow, with pressure losses and noise associated with the passage of air between the blades which is reduced, and finally a limitation of the turbulence zones due to the shape of the blades and the blade supports, thus reducing the vortices behind the blade attachment points which constitute obstacles to the passage of air.

[0081] The width of a blade can be between 21 and 750 mm, or even between 22 and 450 mm, better still between 24 and 200 mm, it can for example be of the order of 25 mm.

[0082] The minimum distance between two blades can thus be increased, facilitating the passage of air through the grille. It can be between 16.5 and 450 mm, or even between 17 and 200 mm, better between 17.5 and 100 mm, being for example of the order of 17.7 mm.

[0083] The free physical surface indicated as the ratio between the minimum distance between two blades and the pitch between two blades can be between 50.5 and 60%, better between 51 and 55%, being in particular approximately 52%. This results in a reduction in pressure losses when passing through the grid.

[0084] According to the European directives of the standard EN 13030:2001, for a ventilation grille of 1 m by 1 m without mosquito net and without rainwater recovery profile, the pressure losses through the grille can be with an air flow speed of 1 ms-1, only 9 Pascal (Pa) at the suction and only 8 Pascal (Pa) at the discharge, with an air flow speed of 2 ms-1, only 38 Pascal (Pa) at the suction and only 31 Pascal (Pa) at the discharge, with an air flow speed of 3 ms-1, only 87 Pascal (Pa) at the suction and only 72 Pascal (Pa) at the discharge, with an air flow speed of 4 ms-1, only 157 Pascal (Pa) at the suction and only 130 Pascal (Pa) at the discharge, which is worth a class 3 categorization for the grille in this configuration.

[0085] Furthermore, each blade may have rounded ends, which allows to ensure good shock resistance.

[0086] In addition, each blade may include reinforcements at the angular areas, in order to strengthen the blade and limit weak points.

[0087] The mass rigidity of the blade profiles, defined as the ratio of the force applied to the profile divided by the product of the measured deformation and the linear mass of the profile, can for example reach a value of 0.39 Nm-l.kg-1 for a standard blade. The deflection of the profile of a blade, of length 1.3 m carried over 0.3 m with 1 m of overhang, under the effect of a force of 1 kg placed at its end, can for example be only 160 mm. The quadratic moment of the frame parts is improved. For an equal size of ventilation grille, in particular its length and width, the blades of the grille are more rigid.

[0088] The installation of a blade can be done in the following way: in a first step, the top of the blade, in particular the upper hook of the blade, is inserted into the blade holder, in particular into the hook of the blade holder. In a second step, the blade is pressed horizontally, so that the blade, in particular the lower hook of the blade, cooperates with the blade holder, in particular with the blade holder, in particular with the return of the blade holder. The blade is then permanently fixed, it cannot be torn off. Stiffener

[0089] The ventilation grille may also comprise a stiffener, configured to allow a blade support to be carried, in particular as described above. Thus, the ventilation grille may comprise an additional blade support, in addition to the two blade supports carried by the two frame parts. The stiffener may be arranged vertically.

[0090] In one embodiment, the ventilation grille may in particular comprise one or more stiffeners arranged vertically at a distance from the vertical frame parts, configured to allow one or more additional blade supports to be carried.

[0091] The stiffener may comprise two centering ribs between which the blade support may be placed.

[0092] The two centering ribs ensure the correct positioning of the blade support and consequently of the blades.

[0093] The stiffener may be rectilinear. It may be a rectilinear profile. It may have a central groove, which may be partially closed by two beads, and two lateral grooves which may be used for fixing the mosquito net, for example.

[0094] The stiffener is completely removable and reassemblable, the stiffener does not undergo plastic deformation during assembly of the grid.

[0095] The stiffener can be pre-positioned using machining operations which can be provided for this purpose in the upper and lower frame parts. The stiffener can be fixed vertically to the upper and lower frame parts by rivets, using a drill and a riveting machine. For fixing, two T-pieces can be used, one vertical branch of which can be threaded into a central groove of the stiffener, and an upper horizontal branch can be attached to the corresponding frame part, for example by clinching or riveting. Junction

[0096] The ventilation grille may also comprise a junction, configured to allow two ventilation grilles as described above to be assembled together. The junction is configured to receive two vertical or horizontal frame parts.

[0097] The junction may be rectilinear. It may be a rectilinear profile. It may be arranged vertically or horizontally, for example.

[0098] The junction is fully removable and reassemblable, the junction does not undergo plastic deformation during assembly of the grid. The junction can for example be bolted onto the two grids.

[0099] The various parts of the ventilation grille, in particular the frame parts, blades, blade supports, stiffener and / or junction can be made of aluminum or aluminum alloy, for example zamak for the brackets.

[0100] They can be made from extruded profiles, for example aluminum or aluminum alloy, the ventilation grille can be assembled manually in the workshop, from extruded profiles and cut to size, according to the customer's needs.

[0101] The various parts of the ventilation grille may have an anodized finish, which can advantageously strengthen the aluminum surface against corrosion. Alternatively, they may have a raw finish, which can advantageously facilitate the application of a lacquer, improving the strength and aesthetics or remaining as is depending on the exposure of the installation area. Mosquito net

[0102] The ventilation grille may also include a mosquito net. The mosquito net may be attached to the frame. It may be configured to cover all the slats and ventilation passages. It may be attached to the frame by means of a removable seal inserted into a groove in the frame. The seal may be compressed into the groove.

[0103] Thus, it can be very easy to assemble, disassemble and reassemble the mosquito net. The fixing of the mosquito net is made easier, the assembly time is reduced, in addition any waste of mosquito net fabric can be avoided, it being cut directly to the right dimensions, and the finishing operations can be minimized.

[0104] The mosquito net may be fixed in one or more grooves of the frame parts. Said groove may be slightly widened for this purpose.

[0105] The mosquito net can be installed as follows: in a first step, the mosquito net fabric is placed on the ventilation grille on the inside of the ventilation duct, then in a second step, the mosquito net seal is stuffed into the appropriate groove in the frame. In a third step, the mosquito net fabric is cut around the seal, for example with a cutter. Thanks to the invention, it is possible to lacquer the seal directly, due to its material, for example silicone, which can be sufficiently temperature-resistant and hard to withstand lacquering and remain permanently installed on the grille. It is not necessary to change it.

[0106] The mosquito net may be cut from a mosquito net fabric, which may be made of plastic, aluminum, or stainless steel, for example. In one embodiment, a 1.4 x 1.4 mm mesh 304 stainless steel mosquito net, designed to screen out insects, is used.

[0107] A rodent-proof grille may also be added to prevent pests from entering through the building's ventilation openings, in the case where the ventilation grille is used on a building. Installation accessories

[0108] The ventilation grille may also include one or more clip springs to facilitate its installation. The clip spring(s) may or may not be removable.

[0109] The clip springs can be made of stainless spring steel, for example 301 Cl300 stainless steel, in particular by cutting and folding a thin sheet of stainless spring steel. The thickness of the sheet can be less than 4 mm, or even less than 3 mm, better still less than 2 mm, being for example approximately 0.4 mm.

[0110] The flexibility and mechanical strength of the clip springs allow for great ease of installation and high resistance to tearing of the frames. The ergonomics of the grid attachment are thus improved.

[0111] The ventilation grille may also include one or more sealing tabs, which may not be removable from the outside of the ventilation grille. A sealing tab may, for example, be cut from a thin sheet of stainless steel. The thickness of the sheet may be less than 4 mm, or even less than 3 mm, better still less than 2 mm, being, for example, approximately 0.4 mm.

[0112] The different types of clip springs and sealing tabs can be fixed to the ventilation grille before shipping the grille by means of bolting with a cage nut positioned in one of the outer grooves of the frame and screwed reversibly from the outside of the frame by putting pressure on a clip spring or a sealing tab by means, for example, of a screw and a suitable fan washer.

[0113] The invention also relates, independently or in combination with what precedes, a ventilation grille, comprising blades providing ventilation passages, the ventilation grille comprising at least one blade support, in particular two blade supports, in particular on either side of the blades, the blade support comprising in particular a plurality of hooks and blade holders, arranged alternately, a hook and a blade holder being configured to receive a blade, the hooks of the blade support each comprising in particular a return configured to cooperate with an upper hook of the corresponding blade.

[0114] The ventilation grille may also comprise a frame carrying the blades providing ventilation passages, a blade support being fixed to each of two opposite frame parts, in particular by clinching.

[0140] Figures 1, 2, 2a and 2b illustrate a ventilation grille 1 comprising a frame 10 carrying blades 20 providing ventilation passages 5.

[0141] The ventilation grille 1 according to the invention is intended for a ventilation circuit or a ventilation duct. It can alternatively be used without a duct, for example on a cellar or technical room opening, or in cladding.

[0142] The ventilation grille 1 may comprise a protective portion 12 extending, when the frame 10 is observed in cross-section, over a length L which may vary. In the case where the ventilation grille 1 is intended to be arranged as an applique or covering a wall, the length L may be large, being for example of the order of 22 mm, as illustrated in figures 1, 2, 7 (a), 7 (b). In the case where the ventilation grille 1 is intended to be arranged in a tunnel, the length L may be small, being for example of the order of 3 mm, as illustrated in figures 3, 4, 7 (c), 7 (d).

[0143] As illustrated in Figures 5 and 6, the ventilation grille may also comprise a junction 30, configured to allow two ventilation grilles 1 to be assembled together. The junction is configured to receive two vertical or horizontal frame parts. The junction is a rectilinear profile, which can be bolted onto the two grilles.

[0144] The frame 10 comprises four assembled frame parts 11, being connected two by two at their ends by a fixing bracket 15 configured to allow the assembly and disassembly of the frame.

[0145] In the example described, each frame part 11 has two parallel grooves 16, as visible in Figures 7 (a) and 7 (c). The fixing bracket 15 is fixed in the grooves 16 of the corresponding frame parts 11 by screwing and optionally by gluing, the glue being intended to be injected between the bracket and the frame parts through a passage of the fixing bracket provided for this purpose.

[0146] The fixing bracket 15 has two wings oriented at 90° to each other, as seen in [Fig.2a], with an angle of 90° between them. Each of the wings is approximately 50 mm long.

[0147] In an alternative embodiment, each frame part 11 comprises a single groove 16, as illustrated in Figures 7 (b) and 7 (d).

[0148] The frame parts 11 are each rectilinear, manufactured from rectilinear profiles. The frame part profile is cut at 45° before assembly with the other frame parts 11. The ventilation grille comprises a lower frame part, an upper frame part, and two side frame parts.

[0149] The frame parts 11 each comprise a groove portion 17 in which the groove(s) 16 intended to receive the fixing bracket 15 are formed, and which extends perpendicularly to the protection portion 12 when the frame part 11 is observed in cross-section, as visible in FIGS. 7 (a) to 7 (d).

[0150] In the embodiment illustrated in [Fig.2a], there is a single fixing bracket per corner of the frame, the bracket being arranged in the groove closest to the outside. The grid then has four fixing brackets.

[0151] Each frame part 11 further comprises a fixing portion 19, to which a blade support 40 can be fixed, which will be described below. The fixing portion 19 extends perpendicular to the groove portion 17 and parallel to the protection portion 12, when the frame part 11 is observed in cross-section.

[0152] In one embodiment, as illustrated in isolation in [Fig.2b] without the blades 20, the ventilation grille 1 also comprises a stiffener 50 arranged vertically, at a distance from the vertical frame parts, configured to allow a blade support 40 to be carried as described below. Thus, the ventilation grille 1 may comprise an additional blade support 40, in addition to the two blade supports 40 carried by the two vertical frame parts 11.

[0153] The stiffener 50 is formed in a rectilinear profile. As illustrated in [Fig.7] (e), the stiffener 50 comprises two centering ribs 51 between which the additional blade support 40 can be placed. It thus comprises a central groove 52, and two lateral grooves 53 which can be used for fixing the mosquito net, for example, as described later.

[0154] The stiffener 50 is fixed vertically to the upper and lower frame parts 11 by rivets, using a drill and a riveter. For fixing, two T-pieces 55 are used, one vertical branch of which can be threaded into the central groove 52 of the stiffener 50, and one horizontal upper branch can be attached to the corresponding frame part 11.

[0155] The ventilation grille 1 also comprises two blade supports 40, on either side of the blades 20. They are each rectilinear, made from rectilinear profiles. A blade support 40 is fixed on each of two opposite frame parts 11, at the fixing portion 19 of the corresponding frame part 11.

[0156] As illustrated in Figures 8(a) and 8(b), the blade holder 40 comprises a plurality of hooks 41 and blade holders 42, arranged alternately, a hook 41 and a blade holder 42 being configured to receive a blade 20.

[0157] A blade 20 is received in the blade holder 40 by being inserted under the hook 41 and snapped into the blade holder 42, as illustrated in [Fig.9]. The installation of the blade comprises a first step of inserting the top of the blade 20 under the hook, then a second step of snapping a hook 21 of the blade into a return arranged at the end of the corresponding blade holder 42. Each blade cooperates with a hook 41 and a blade holder 42 located just below the hook, as seen in Figures 2 and 4.

[0158] The hook and the blade holder intended to receive the same blade are separated by a distance d of approximately 27.4 mm. The blade holder and the hook intended to receive two consecutive blades are separated by a distance a of approximately 6.6 mm.

[0159] The blade support carries in the example described 6 blades, comprising 6 hooks 41 and 6 blade holders 42.

[0160] The hooks 41 of the blade support may each comprise a return configured to cooperate with an upper hook 22 of the corresponding blade 20. The hook 41 of the blade support 40 may have a rounded comma shape adapted to accommodate and retain the top of the blade profiles, in the form of a gutter, making it possible to prevent water from penetrating behind the ventilation grille 1 and to prevent the blade from being torn off, as illustrated in the embodiment of Figures 8 (b) and 10 (b). Alternatively, it may be in the form of a gutter but without a return, as in the embodiment of Figures 8 (a) and 10 (a).

[0161] A hook 41 and a blade holder 42 intended to receive two consecutive blades 20 are separated by a cutting point 45 allowing the cutting of the blade holder 40 to the appropriate length for the manufacture of the grid 1. The cutting point 45 allows easy, clean and precise cutting of the blade holder, at a precise point located between a hook 41 and the following blade holder 42, at the base of the blade holder 42. The cutting point 45 is defined by a narrowing of the blade holder.

[0162] As shown in [Fig.10], the distance bl between the cutting point and the nearest hook is about 5.4 mm. The distance b2 between the cutting point and the nearest blade holder is about 1.2 mm. It is close to 0.

[0163] Whether on a given blade support or at the junction of two successive blade supports, the distance between a blade holder and the next hook of a blade support can be small, with a difference of less than 4 mm, or even less than 3 mm, better still less than 2 mm, being for example of the order of 0.4 mm.

[0164] The ventilation grille comprises a plurality of blades, in particular so-called standard blades which make up the majority of the plurality of blades, as illustrated in [Fig.8] (c). These blades are each rectilinear, made from rectilinear profiles.

[0165] The ventilation grille 1 also comprises an upper blade, illustrated in [Fig.8] (d), which is the blade intended to be arranged above the other blades, along the frame portion placed horizontally at the top of the ventilation grille. The upper blade comprises an extension portion 26 of the upper hook, which makes it possible to come closer to the frame 10. The extension portion 26 makes it possible to extend upwards the protection provided by the blades 20, in particular against rain or other bad weather, and to minimize the passage of air above the upper blade. The space between the upper blade 20 and the frame 10 is thus minimized and the finish more aesthetic.

[0166] The ventilation grille 1 also comprises a lower blade, which is the blade intended to be arranged below the other blades, along a frame part placed horizontally at the bottom of the ventilation grille.

[0167] Depending on the height of the frame, the lower blade can be adapted with various lengths. It can be elongated, standard or shortened, comprising a lower vertical portion 25 extending more or less. In the embodiment of [Fig. 8] (f), the vertical portion 25 is elongated. The lower blade can alternatively be shortened, as illustrated in [Fig.8] (e), then being devoid of such a vertical portion.

[0168] As explained above, all the blades 20 of the ventilation grille 1 comprise an upper hook 22 intended to cooperate with a corresponding hook 41 of the blade support. Similarly, all the blades 20 of the ventilation grille 1 comprise a lower hook 21 intended to cooperate with a corresponding return of the blade holder 42 of the blade support 40.

[0169] The width of a blade can be between 21 and 750 mm, or even between 22 and 450 mm, better between 24 and 200 mm, it can for example be of the order of 25 mm.

[0170] The minimum distance between two blades can thus be increased, facilitating the passage of air through the grille. It can be between 16.5 and 450 mm, or even between 17 and 200 mm, better between 17.5 and 100 mm, being for example of the order of 17.7 mm.

[0171] The free physical surface indicated as the ratio between the minimum distance between two blades and the pitch between two blades can be approximately 52%. This results in a reduction in pressure losses when passing through the grille. According to the European directives of standard EN 13030:2001, for a ventilation grille of 1 m by 1 m without mosquito net and without rainwater recovery profile, the pressure losses through the grille can be with an air flow speed of 1 ms-1, only 9 Pascal (Pa) at the suction and only 8 Pascal (Pa) at the discharge, with an air flow speed of 2 ms-1, only 38 Pascal (Pa) at the suction and only 31 Pascal (Pa) at the discharge, with an air flow speed of 3 ms-1, only 87 Pascal (Pa) at the suction and only 72 Pascal (Pa) at the discharge, with an air flow speed of 4 ms-1, only 157 Pascal (Pa) at the suction and only 130 Pascal (Pa) at the discharge, which is worth a class 3 categorization for the grid in this configuration.

[0172] Furthermore, each blade 20 has rounded ends, which ensures good impact resistance.

[0173] The ventilation grille 1 also comprises a rain collector 60, which can be made from a single profile, being in one piece, as illustrated in [Fig.8] (g), or made from several profiles and sheet metal parts, for example four, as illustrated in [Fig.8] (h).

[0174] The ventilation grille may also include a mosquito net 70, as illustrated in [Fig. 11]. The mosquito net 70 is fixed to the frame 10. It is configured to cover all the blades 20 and the ventilation passages 5. In this exemplary embodiment, it is fixed to the frame 10 by means of a removable seal 72 inserted into a groove 74 of the frame 10. The seal 72 is compressed into the groove.

[0175] The mosquito net can be installed in the following manner: in a first step, the mosquito net fabric 70 is placed on the ventilation grille 1 on the inside of the ventilation duct, then in a second step the seal 72 is stuffed with mosquito net in the appropriate groove 74 of the frame. In a third step, the mosquito net fabric 70 is cut around the seal 72.

[0176] The ventilation grille also includes one or more clip springs 80 to facilitate its installation in the ventilation duct. The clip spring(s) 80 may or may not be removable.

[0177] As an example, Figures 12a to 12d illustrate a grid 1 comprising a removable spring clip 80.

[0178] Figures 13a to 13c illustrate a grid 1 comprising a clip spring 80 resistant to disassembly.

[0179] The clip springs can be made of stainless steel spring, for example 301 Cl300 stainless steel, in particular by cutting and folding a thin sheet of stainless steel spring, the thickness of the sheet can be less than 4 mm, or even less than 3 mm, better still less than 2 mm, being for example approximately 0.4 mm. The flexibility and mechanical strength of the clip springs allow great comfort of installation and great resistance to tearing of the frames. The ergonomics of the fixing of the grid is thus improved.

[0180] The ventilation grille may also include one or more sealing tabs 85, which may not be removable from the outside of the ventilation grille. A sealing tab may, for example, be cut from a thin sheet of stainless steel, the thickness of the sheet metal may be less than 4 mm, or even less than 3 mm, better still less than 2 mm, being for example approximately 0.4 mm. As an example, figures 14a and 14b illustrate an alternative embodiment equipped with a sealing tab 85, which is mounted either on a wall M with an angle of 90°, or on a flat wall M.

[0181] The different types of clip springs and sealing tabs can be fixed to the ventilation grille before shipping the grille by means of bolting with a cage nut positioned in one of the outer grooves of the frame and screwed reversibly from the outside of the frame by putting pressure on a clip spring or a sealing tab by means, for example, of a screw and a suitable fan washer.
