Description

Title of the invention: Door locking device in the open position

[0001] The present invention is a device for locking a door in the open door position.

[0002] There are many door stops in the open position, including patent WO2011 / 058251Al, also EP 2253788A1.

[0003] These devices are complex and do not correspond to our problem, which consists of obtaining a simple and inexpensive locking and unlocking mechanism.

[0004] The device according to the invention is a locking mechanism in the open position of an opening having a frame in which a leaf is hinged on a vertical axis, the leaf characterized in that its rotation around its axis is mechanically stopped by a locking means when the leaf pivots in opening up to a predetermined angular position and in that the unlocking of said leaf is carried out by a manual unlocking means suitable for allowing its closure.

[0005] Device characterized in that the manual locking means for the door leaf is obtained by a slide having a flat part and a protruding part, slide which travels in a track having a longitudinal horizontal part, slide articulated directly or via a connecting piece provided for this purpose on one of the two ends of a substantially horizontal longitudinal segment in the closed door position, longitudinal segment whose other end is articulated on the door leaf or on a piece provided for this purpose connected to the door leaf, slide whose protruding part is in contact with the longitudinal horizontal part which translates in the track until the predetermined angular position which coincides with the insertion of the protruding part into a notch of a dimension greater than said protruding part, notch machined in said longitudinal horizontal part,An action that stops the movement of the gate and immobilizes it by means of a retaining device.

[0006] Device characterized in that the manual unlocking means is obtained by exerting pressure from bottom to top on the horizontal longitudinal segment, pressure transmitted to the slide via its articulation with the horizontal longitudinal segment, pressure which causes the protruding part of the slide to come out, pressure maintained until the protruding part is no longer opposite the machined notch but moves along the horizontal longitudinal part of the slide.

[0007] Device characterized in that the retention means is obtained by the angular shape of the protruding part of the slide, the cross-section of the base in contact with the flat part of the slide being smaller than the cross-section furthest from the flat base of the slide, so that the contact of the edge of the protruding part with the edge opposite the notch, under the action of, in particular, a strong wind, generates a force which tends to press the flat part of the slide against the longitudinal horizontal part of the slide, making it very difficult to detach the protruding part of the slide from the notch and therefore ensuring good retention of the flap in situations of strong wind.

[0008] Device characterized in that the flat surface of the slide opposite the protruding part is provided with at least one spring which cooperates with the surface directly opposite the slide so as to maintain a constant pressure between the slide and the slide in order to perpetuate the retention of the protruding part in the notch.

[0009] Device characterized in that the complete mechanism can be arranged by pivoting the slide so that it is slid between two wings of the slide and fixed on the flap after manufacture of the finished product ([Fig.5]).

[0010] Device according to claim 2 characterized in that the connecting piece has a double articulation, one around a vertical axis, the other around a horizontal axis in order to allow operation of the device whose slide would be raised horizontally from the frame ([Fig.6] and 7).

[0011] Other objects and advantages of the invention will become more apparent in the detailed description that follows and which refers to the accompanying drawings, given solely by way of example. - Fig. 1 is a perspective view showing the open door device - Fig. 2 is a perspective view showing part of the device with a cut in the GL slide. - Figure 3 is a detailed perspective showing the slide moving in the GL guide directly opposite the notch E - Figure 4 is a detailed perspective showing the EX protrusion in the notch E - Fig. 5 is a perspective showing the possibility of introducing the CL slide between the two parts GL1 and GL2 of the GL slide. - Fig. 6 is a perspective showing the connecting piece PL with its two articulation axes DX and EX which allow the GL slide to be raised. - Fig. 7 is a perspective showing the angular position of the link arm BL when the slide GL is raised.

[0012] According to one embodiment, the device according to the invention is a locking mechanism for a door leaf in the open position. This is useful in many areas where access doors are outdoors, particularly in the waste management sector, for bin shelter doors exposed to inclement weather and strong winds.

[0013] In the event of storms or strong winds, the doors of the shelters not kept in the open position may be damaged or cause degradation of the shelter in the event of violent closure due to the wind.

[0014] The device according to the invention allows the door to be held in the open position and also allows for simple unlocking by the collector.

[0015] Following our embodiment example, the device is installed on a flap P which is articulated on a vertical axis CX of rotation with a frame B.

[0016] The upper horizontal part of the frame B constitutes the first longitudinal part GL1 of a slide GL, the other part of which GL2 is the vertical flange of a horizontal longitudinal profile arranged opposite GLL

[0017] GL1 has a horizontal base in which a notch E is made.

[0018] A slide CL provided with means for its retention in the slide GL travels horizontally in the slide GL.

[0019] The slide CL is a profile comprising a horizontal base CL2 provided with a conical protrusion EX and a horizontal base CL1 machined with a circular orifice articulated on an axis AX.

[0020] The conical protrusion EX is fixed on the horizontal face of the slide GL closest to the horizontal part of the slide GL1 and its widest end is directly opposite it.

[0021] One of the two ends of a horizontal connecting arm BL is articulated with the slider CL or on a connecting piece PL provided for this purpose and equipped with means for maintaining its position, while its other end is articulated with the horizontal base of a bracket EQ around an axis BX.

[0022] At least one of the two joints of the connecting arm BL allows an operating clearance which tends to allow the transmission of a pressure exerted from bottom to top on the connecting arm in such a way that the latter communicates this pressure on the slider CL.

[0023] The vertical part of the bracket EQ is articulated on a vertical part of the flap P around a horizontal axis FX.

[0024] Thus formed, when the flap P is opened, the slide CL travels in the slide GL until the protrusion EX is opposite the notch E.

[0025] Thanks to the operating clearance, the conical protrusion EX then enters notch E by its own weight and that of the connecting arm, thus forming an obstacle to the continuation of the opening of the sash P.

[0026] The flap P cannot be closed by the action of the wind because the protrusion EX comes into contact with the edge of the notch E, its conical shape generating a force which tends to keep the slide CL pressed against the flat horizontal face of the part GL1 of the slide GL.

[0027] Depending on the size of the flap P, a spring RS is advantageously arranged between the face of the slide CL opposite the protrusion EX and the opposite face of the sliding part GL1 in order to maintain a pressure suitable for improving the penetration of the EX protrusion in the E notch.

[0028] To close the door leaf P, upward pressure on the connecting arm BL releases the protrusion EX from the notch E, thus closing the door leaf P. According to another preferred embodiment, if the upper part of the frame B, represented by the slide GL, is raised after the door leaf P is opened to increase the available height for a part taller than the door leaf P, the connecting member PL has two joints: one about a vertical axis EX and one about a horizontal axis DX. This ensures that raising the slide GL does not unduly interfere with the function of the slide CL and the connecting arm BL. The double joint allows the connecting arm BL to be positioned angularly without compromising the locking of the door leaf P by means of the slide CL, whose protrusion EX is engaged in the notch E.

[0029] We have thus produced a device in accordance with the invention.

[0030] Of course, the invention is by no means limited to the embodiments described and represented, which have been given only by way of example.

[0031] The invention includes all technical equivalents of the means described and their combinations, if these are executed in accordance with its spirit and implemented within the framework of the following claims.
