Description

Title of the invention: Penile case for urinary collection and associated urinary collection system

[0001] The present invention relates to a penile sheath for urinary collection and associated urinary collection system, and more particularly for male urinary collection.

[0002] Urinary incontinence in men poses a significant challenge to quality of life and overall well-being. Existing solutions, while often effective, have significant drawbacks, ranging from complexity of use to hygiene and comfort issues.

[0003] A urinary case is known as presented in document CN205144834, which teaches a urinary collection system comprising a collection bag, an evacuation conduit as well as a penile case maintained capable of being applied to a male penis and maintained in the position of use by fasteners intended to be locked to a belt or suitable underwear.

[0004] Such a urinary case has the disadvantage of causing leaks, and thus inconveniencing users while also causing discomfort due to the attachment angle which can cause friction and not be adaptable to all body shapes.

[0005] The present invention overcomes these drawbacks.

[0006] The invention relates to a penile sheath for urine collection comprising a quasi-tubular shaped body made of a selected material, and comprising an upstream end configured to receive the penis and to contact the groin of the user in use, and a distally disposed downstream end comprising a discharge tip configured to be attached to a discharge tube and thus allow discharge of urine to urinary collection means; locking means configured to maintain the urinary collection sheath in a position in use.

[0007] According to a general definition of the invention, the locking means comprise a removable testicular fixation ring, said removable testicular fixation ring being configured to be locked in the use position by positioning around the testicles, said removable testicular fixation ring further comprising a rod projecting from its upper face, the rod further comprising a temporary attachment mechanism forming a female part on its free end, configured to accommodate an attachment button, integral with the body, forming a male part during a locking operation.

[0008] In practice, the locking means are made of an elastic material.

[0009] For example, the locking means are made of an elastic material of the silicone type.

[0010] In practice, the removable testicular fixation ring is annular or quasi-annular in shape.

[0011] According to an embodiment in accordance with the invention, the body further comprises at least two openings each arranged laterally relative to the body and capable of allowing the evacuation of moisture accumulated by said case in use.

[0012] According to one embodiment of the invention, the downstream end of the body further comprises an extension structure secured to the body and the discharge nozzle, configured to allow a variation of the geometric angle between the body and the discharge tube without modifying the position of the body.

[0013] In practice, the chosen material of the body is silicone.

[0014] The invention further relates to a urinary collection system.

[0015] According to an alternative definition of the invention, the urinary collection system comprising urinary collection means connected to an evacuation tube, said evacuation tube also being connected to the penile sheath according to the invention

[0016] The penile sheath and urinary collection system according to the invention offer an ergonomic approach to meet the specific needs of men suffering from urinary loss. They are distinguished by their ease of use, optimal comfort and increased effectiveness in preventing unwanted urinary leaks.

[0017] Furthermore, the penile sheath and associated urinary collection system according to the invention are reusable and ecological compared to existing systems, which are mainly single-use.

[0018] Advantageously, the penile sheath according to the invention includes a design adaptable to different morphologies, thus guaranteeing a personalized and secure fit. In addition, the presence of effective and durable locking mechanisms in a position of use and optimal drainage means contributes to maximizing convenience for the user while minimizing the risks of skin irritation and other complications linked to prolonged use.

[0019] Other advantages and characteristics of the invention will appear on examining the description and the drawings in which: - [Fig.l] schematically represents the penile sheath in the assembled position in accordance with the invention; - [Fig.2] schematically represents the penis sheath in the disassembled position in accordance with the invention; and - [Fig.3] schematically represents the urinary collection system according to the invention.

[0020] With reference to Figures 1 and 2, the penile sheath according to the invention comprises a body 2 of quasi-tubular shape configured to accommodate the penis of a user and removable locking means 3 configured to maintain said body in the position of use for urine collection.

[0021] The body 2 of the penile sheath 1 according to the invention comprises an upstream end 21 configured to accommodate the penis and to come into contact with the groin of the user in use, and a distally arranged downstream end 22 comprising an evacuation tip 24 capable of being connected to urinary collection means 5 via an evacuation tube 4.

[0022] In practice, the upstream end 21 is circular or quasi-circular in shape and elastically deformable so as to adapt to the circumference of the user's penis in use.

[0023] According to one embodiment of the invention, the body 2 of the penile sheath 1 further comprises an extension structure 23, at its downstream end 22, integral with the body 2 and the evacuation nozzle 24, and configured to allow a variation of the geometric angle between the body 2 and the evacuation tube 4 without modifying the position of the body 2.

[0024] In practice, the extension structure 23 structurally has a conical or quasi-conical accordion shape.

[0025] Advantageously, the extension structure 23 allows a geometric angle variation between the evacuation tube 4 fixed on the evacuation tip 24 and thus allows a deformation of said evacuation tip 24 to limit the movement of the body 2 and thus limit movements and friction of the user's penis during bodily movements. In addition, the extension structure 23 forms a bead made of a material identical to the body 2, configured to be in contact with the scrotal skin of the user in use and to reduce potential irritation or injuries to this area.

[0026] According to one embodiment of the invention, the body 2 further comprises at least two openings 25, each arranged laterally at the level of the upper third of the body 2 and capable of allowing the evacuation of moisture accumulated by said penile sheath 1 in use while preventing potential leaks of urine in use.

[0027] Advantageously, such openings 25 make it possible to limit the phenomenon of epidermal maceration due to the accumulation of moisture between the internal wall of the body 2 and the skin of the user without creating an unwanted evacuation of urine.

[0028] By way of non-limiting example, the body 2 is made of a flexible, elastic and smooth material of the silicone type.

[0029] The body 2 of the penile sheath according to the invention further comprises an attachment button 26, integral with said body 2, projecting from the upper face of the body 2 at its upstream end 21 and forming a male part, capable of receiving a structure forming female part during an operation of locking the position of the penis sheath 1 in use.

[0030] The penile sheath 1 according to the invention further comprises locking means 3, which comprise a removable testicular fixing ring 31, configured to be locked in the use position by positioning around the assembly formed by the penis and testicles.

[0031] In practice, the removable testicular fixation ring 31 is annular or quasi-annular in shape.

[0032] Advantageously, a ring attachment resting on anatomical parts such as the assembly formed by the penis and testicles makes it possible to obtain a durable attachment without requiring a specifically adapted belt or underwear and also allows removal of said penile sheath 1 with greater ease for washing thereof.

[0033] Furthermore, said removable testicular fixation ring 31 further comprises a rod 32 projecting from its upper face, the rod 32 being integral with said removable testicular fixation ring 31 at an annular end.

[0034] The rod 32 further comprises a temporary attachment mechanism 33 forming a female part on a free end, said temporary attachment mechanism 33 being configured to accommodate the attachment button 26, integral with the body 2, forming a male part during a locking operation.

[0035] Advantageously, the attachment button 26 and the temporary attachment mechanism 33 are configured to allow a solid attachment of the penile sheath 1 in use and to maintain said penile sheath 1 in position during its use by allowing the body 2 of said penile sheath 1 to be detached on the one hand, and the locking means 3 on the other hand.

[0036] Such a removable attachment also makes it easier to remove the body 2 and thus allows the groin and said body 2 to be changed and / or washed without requiring a change of underwear or complex movements.

[0037] In practice, the locking means 3 are made of an elastic material.

[0038] By way of non-limiting example, the locking means 3 are made of an elastic material of the silicone type.

[0039] With reference to [Fig.3], the invention further relates to a urinary collection system.

[0040] The urinary collection system comprises urinary collection means 5 connected to an evacuation tube 4, said evacuation tube 4 also being connected to a penile sheath 1.

[0041] In practice, the urine collection means 5 are of the single-use urine bag type capable of being attached to the user's body during use, and detached and discarded after use.

[0042] The penile sheath 1 as described above is connected to the evacuation tube 4 by its evacuation tip 24 of the urinary collection system according to the invention.

[0043] Advantageously, the urinary collection system according to the invention is easy to install, comfortable for the user, washable, reusable and makes it possible to limit maceration phenomena.
