Description

Title of the invention: COMPOSITION FOR CARE OF KERATINOUS MATERIALS AND MASK COMPRISING SAME Technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to a composition and a mask containing the same. In particular, the present invention relates to a composition for caring for keratinous materials, and a mask comprising the same. The present invention also relates to a non-therapeutic process for caring for keratinous materials. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] In the cosmetic industry, laminated nonwoven is widely used in sheet mask products to ensure good occlusion.

[0003] The most common occlusive films for sheet mask products are made of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyurethane (PU) or aluminate sheet. For greater environmental friendliness, natural saccharide mask film becomes a solution to consider. On the market, the most well-known natural polymer film is cellulose film, but it is very rigid and cannot be laminated to non-woven fabric without chemical adhesion.

[0004] Natural solid hydrogel made from different kinds of polysaccharides is widely used as mask sheet, it is able to be coated on the non-woven fabric by thermal compression without any chemical adhesion.

[0005] Surface stickiness is the challenge to use solid hydrogel as laminating material. Since solid hydrogel is normally made from different polysaccharides containing high level of hydroxyl, which will cause stickiness on the surface of hydrogel. Therefore, the laminated film is not easy to unfold as mask fabric.

[0006] Therefore, it is desirable to reduce the stickiness of the hydrogel surface. Summary of the invention

[0007] An object of the present invention is to provide a solution for reducing the stickiness of the hydrogel surface intended for mask products.

[0008] Another object of the present invention is to provide a non-therapeutic process for caring for keratinous materials.

[0009] Thus, according to a first aspect, the present invention provides a composition, preferably for caring for keratinous materials, comprising:

[0012] (iii) at least one preservative selected from chlorophenyl glyceryl ethers, aromatic ketone compounds represented by the following chemical formula (I), and a combination thereof,

[0013] in which

[0014] R5, R6 and R7, each independently, represent a hydrogen atom, a group hydroxyl, a C1-C6 alkyl group or a C1-C6 alkoxy group, provided that at least one of R5, R6 and R7 represents a hydroxyl group, and

[0015] R represents a C1-C6 alkyl group or an aryl group,

[0016] wherein the weight ratio between the at least one non-ionic polysaccharide and the at least one ionic polysaccharide is at least 1:5.

[0017] The surface of the hydrogel formed from the composition according to the present invention is not sticky.

[0018] The composition according to the present invention is suitable for a mask, in particular for care masks for keratinous materials.

[0019] According to a second aspect, the present invention provides a mask, preferably for caring for keratinous materials, comprising:

[0020] A) a water-insoluble mask fabric, and

[0021] B) the composition according to the first aspect of the present invention on the water-insoluble mask fabric.

[0022] The composition and the mask according to the present invention can be used for the care of keratinous materials.

[0023] According to a third aspect, the present invention also provides a non-therapeutic process for caring for keratinous materials, comprising the application of the mask according to the present invention to the keratinous materials.

[0024] Other subjects and characteristics, aspects and advantages of the present invention will become even more apparent upon reading the detailed description and examples which follow. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The internal mannose residue is usually acetylated on carbon 6. About 30% of the terminal mannose residues carry a pyruvate group bound in chelated form between carbons 4 and 6. Charged glucuronic acids and pyruvic acids are ionizable and are therefore responsible for the anionic nature of xanthan (negative charge up to pH 1).
