6. Electric cooking appliance (1) according to any one of claims 2 to 5, wherein the actuating member (10) is mounted pivotally about an actuating axis which is substantially horizontal when the housing (2) rests on a horizontal surface.

Electric cooking appliance (1) according to any one of claims 2 to 6, wherein the actuation mechanism (9) comprises: - a locking carriage (11) mechanically connected to the locking member (7) and mounted to move in translation relative to the cover (5) between a first carriage position in which the locking member (7) is in the locked configuration and a second carriage position in which the locking member (7) is in the unlocked configuration, and - a connecting element (12) comprising a first connecting portion (12.1) which is mechanically connected to the actuation member (10) and a second connecting portion (12.2) which is fixed in movement to the locking carriage (11), the actuation mechanism (9) being configured such that a movement of the actuating member (10) from the first actuation position to the second actuation position results in a movement of the locking carriage (11) from the first carriage position to the second carriage position and such that a movement of the actuating member (10) from the second actuation position to the first actuation position results in a movement of the locking carriage (11) from the second carriage position to the first carriage position,the locking mechanism (8) being configured to lock the locking carriage (11) in the first carriage position when the locking mechanism (8) is in the locking configuration and being configured to allow movement of the locking carriage (11) between the first carriage position and the second carriage position when the locking mechanism (8) is in the release configuration.

Electric cooking appliance (1) according to claim 7, wherein the locking mechanism (8) comprises a locking member (16), movablely mounted on the cover (5) between a locking position in which the locking member (16) is configured to lock the locking carriage (11) in the first carriage position when the locking mechanism (8) occupies the locking configuration, and a release position in which the locking member (16) is configured to allow movement of the locking carriage (11) between the first carriage position and the second carriage position when the locking mechanism (8) occupies the release configuration.
9. Electric cooking appliance (1) according to claim 8, wherein the locking mechanism (8) has a release member (17) configured to move the locking member (16) into the release position when the lid (5) is moved into the closed position.

Electric cooking appliance (1) according to claim 9, wherein the release member (17) comprises a support portion configured to cooperate with the housing (2) when the cover (5) is moved to the closed position and an actuating portion configured to move the locking member (16) in the release position when the cover (5) is moved into the closed position.

Electric cooking appliance (1) according to claim 9 or 10, wherein the release member (17) is mounted movable relative to the cover (5) between a rest position in which the locking member (16) occupies the locking position, and a release position in which the locking member (16) occupies the release position, the release member (17) being configured to be moved automatically into the release position when the cover (5) is moved into the closed position.
12. Electric cooking appliance (1) according to claim 11, wherein the locking mechanism (8) includes a return spring (18) configured to return the unlocking member (17) to the rest position.
