Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: vehicle equipped with a support holding a platform above the front floor
[0001] The invention relates to a vehicle equipped with a support intended to hold a platform arranged above the front floor, as well as to a vehicle equipped with said platform.
[0002] It is known to install a platform at a distance from the floor of a vehicle, in the passenger compartment of the vehicle, so as to create a raised loading surface. For example, document FR2957867 describes a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle comprising a row of seats at the front and a row of seats at the rear of the passenger compartment, a dashboard at the front and a platform fixed at one of its ends at the level of the rear row of seats. The platform is movable between a retracted position on the rear row of seats and a deployed position in the passenger compartment in which it rests on the backrests of a front seat and a rear seat folded down so as to form a loading surface. The platform in the deployed position extends to the dashboard so as to form a continuous loading surface over the entire length of the passenger compartment, at a distance from the front floor. The platform rests on the dashboard at its front end.
[0003] The disadvantage of such a solution is that the platform is cantilevered between the front seat and the dashboard, reducing its loading capacity and risking causing vibrations, due to the absence of support between its front end and the part resting against the folded front seat. In addition, since the platform is arranged against the folded seat, in particular against the back of the folded seat, the height of the platform in the passenger compartment is high, reducing the loading height between said platform and the roof of the vehicle.
[0004] The objective of the invention is to overcome these drawbacks. In particular, one of the aims of the invention is to propose a vehicle in which a removable platform can be installed above the front floor, which is capable of receiving significant loads while ensuring effective support of said platform, reducing the risks of vibration and movement during use of the vehicle.
[0005] This object is achieved according to the invention, thanks to a vehicle comprising a side door entrance with a front pillar, a front floor arranged at least partly opposite the door entrance, a front wheel arch forming a curved zone in the passenger compartment of the vehicle and in front of the side door entrance, the front pillar being between the wheel arch and the door entrance, remarkable in that said vehicle comprises a platform support on the front wheel arch and / or on the front pillar, the interior of the vehicle passenger compartment, the support having a support surface opposite the floor capable of receiving and holding a loading platform above the floor, the vehicle further comprising a reversible holding means capable of holding the platform against the support surface.
[0006] Thus advantageously, the support creates a support point on which the platform rests, making it possible to accept a larger load on said platform, and the presence of the reversible holding means makes it possible to ensure that the platform is held when it is installed in the vehicle, in particular to prevent it from moving and vibrating, while being removable thanks to the reversibility of the holding means. In addition, the arrangement on the wheel arch and / or on the front foot makes it possible to place the support surface at a short distance from the front floor, so as to allow the platform to be positioned at a short distance from the floor and therefore to obtain a significant loading height between the platform and the roof of the vehicle, without being dependent on the presence of a seat under the platform.
[0007] Reversible holding means means a holding means creating a retaining force between the support and the platform blocking any movement of the latter, the interaction between the holding means and the platform being eliminated when a force greater than a limit force is applied in the direction of dismantling the platform.
[0008] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the holding means is arranged on the support, for example on the bearing surface.
[0009] Thus advantageously, in the case where the support is a part added to the vehicle, it is not necessary to add a second part to produce the holding means, the latter already being on said support.
[0010] In an alternative embodiment of the invention, the holding means is fixed to the support, and comprises a reversible holding member capable of holding the platform against the support surface.
[0011] In another embodiment of the invention, the support surface has a flat surface substantially parallel to the front floor.
[0012] Thus advantageously, the flat surface allows good distribution of the forces from the platform when the platform is installed on the vehicle, and therefore better resistance to heavy loads.
[0013] In another embodiment of the invention, the vehicle comprises a platform extending above the front floor of the vehicle, bearing against the support surface, the platform further comprising a holding interface cooperating with the holding means.
[0014] Thus advantageously, heavy loads can be loaded onto the platform, and the platform held sufficiently to support the loads and prevent it from vibrating and moving when the vehicle is moving, in particular when no load is placed on said platform. In addition, the platform can be easily removed thanks to the cooperation between the holding interface and the reversible holding means.
[0015] In an alternative embodiment, the holding means comprises a fixing member fixing the holding means to the support, and a rod-shaped holding member extending substantially vertically above the bearing surface, said rod comprising a bulge between its ends, and the holding interface comprises two opposite jaws each having a clamping face spaced apart from each other by a distance less than the thickness of the bulge when the platform is not installed on the support, and mounted elastically so as to return to their position when they are spaced apart from each other, so as to allow reversible fitting onto the holding member and holding of the platform by clamping the rod between the bulge and the fixing member.
[0016] Thus advantageously, the reversible holding means is produced in a simple manner. In addition, the shape of the rod and its cooperation with the jaws of the fixing member makes it possible to create a force for holding the platform against the support face, while being easily removable, that is to say with reversible holding, by exerting a force greater than a given threshold in the opposite direction of the support when removing the platform.
[0017] In a particular embodiment of the invention, the front floor is delimited at the front by an apron extending towards the top of the vehicle, the platform extending to the apron.
[0018] Thus advantageously, the platform forms a long loading surface extending to the front of the vehicle passenger compartment above the front floor.
[0019] In another embodiment of the invention, the support is an attached part fixed to the front wheel arch and / or to the front foot.
[0020] Thus advantageously, the vehicle is easily modifiable to receive the platform, by fixing the support on the wheel arch and / or the front foot.
[0021] In another embodiment of the invention, the support is on the wheel arch and the platform comprises a notch going around the wheel arch, the holding interface being arranged along an edge of the platform forming the notch and the holding means being arranged on the bearing surface of the support.
[0022] The invention will be better understood on reading the following description, given solely by way of example and with reference to the appended drawings, in which:

[0025] [Fig.3] represents a top view of the platform alone.
[0026] [Fig.4] represents a view of the reversible holding means associated with the interface of maintenance.
[0027] The drawings are schematic representations to facilitate understanding of the invention. The components are not necessarily shown to scale. The same references correspond to the same components from one figure to another.
[0028] The X axis represents the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, the Y axis the transverse direction and the Z axis the vertical direction. The forward, backward, up, down directions are taken in the vehicle's reference frame.
[0029] [Fig. 1] illustrates a vehicle 1 according to the invention, comprising a side door entrance 12 with a front pillar 13, a front floor 10 arranged at least partly opposite the door entrance 12, and a front wheel arch 11 forming a curved area in the passenger compartment of the vehicle in front of the side door entrance 12, separated from the door entrance by the front pillar 13. In other words, the front pillar 13 is between the front wheel arch 11 and the door entrance 12. The front wheel arch 11 is an element of the bodywork of the vehicle 1 separating the passenger compartment of the vehicle from a space in which a front wheel of the vehicle 1 is arranged. The floor 10 extends at least partly opposite the door entrance 12 and the wheel arch 11. The term wheel arch 11, respectively front pillar 13, is understood to mean a structural element of the vehicle 1 forming the wheel arch 11, respectively front pillar 13, or any trim element covering said structural element. The side door entrance 12 is an opening allowing access to the passenger compartment of the vehicle, intended to be closed by a door not shown in [Fig.l].
[0030] A support 2 intended to support a platform 3 above the floor 10, is arranged on the front wheel arch 11 and / or on the front pillar 13, inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle.
[0031] As illustrated in [Fig.2], the support 2 has a bearing surface 20 opposite the floor 10 capable of receiving and holding said loading platform 3 above the floor 10. A reversible holding means 21 makes it possible to hold the platform 3 against the bearing surface 20. The bearing surface 20 is for example flat and substantially parallel to the floor 10, that is to say substantially parallel to the longitudinal axes X and transverse axes Y of the vehicle 1. The area of the bearing surface 20 is for example chosen between 25 cm2 and 100 cm2. The bearing surface 20 is for example of a slightly elongated shape, that is to say the length of the surface, that is to say its largest dimension, is less than or equal to twice its width, the width being its smallest dimension.
[0032] Reversible holding means 21 means a means for holding the platform 3 against the support surface sufficiently to prevent it from moving, while allowing removal of the platform without the need for complex or specific tools. For example, the holding means 21 may be a magnetic system or a nesting system. An exemplary embodiment of the holding means 21 is described later.
[0033] In the embodiment presented in [Fig.2], the reversible holding means 21 is arranged on the support 2, on the bearing surface 20. As illustrated in [Fig.4], the holding means 21 comprises for example a holding member 211, cooperating with the platform 3, and a fixing member 212 fixing the holding means 21 on the support 2. The holding member 211 makes it possible to hold the platform 3 against the bearing surface 20.
[0034] It is understood that the platform 3 is removable thanks to the reversible holding means 21. The platform 3 may comprise other reversible fixing devices to ensure its retention in the vehicle 1 while being removable. When the platform 3 is mounted in the vehicle 1, it bears at least against the bearing surface 20 of the support 2. The platform 3 comprises a holding interface 30 cooperating with the holding means 21 when said platform 3 is mounted in the vehicle 1 and bearing against the bearing surface 20.
[0035] The fixing member 212 is for example in the form of a clip comprising hooks cooperating with the edges of a hole in the bearing surface 20.
[0036] As illustrated in [Fig.4], the holding member 211 is for example in the form of a rod extending substantially vertically above the bearing surface 20. Said rod comprises a bulge 210 between its ends, that is to say between its end on the side of the fixing member 212 and its free opposite end. The holding interface 30 comprises two opposite jaws 301, 302 each having a clamping face spaced apart from each other by a distance less than the thickness of the bulge 210 when the platform 3 is not installed on the support 2, that is to say when the holding interface 30 does not cooperate with the holding means 21. The jaws 301, 302 are mounted elastically so as to return to their position when they are spaced apart from each other, so as to allow reversible fitting on the holding member 211 and holding of the platform 3 by clamping the rod between the bulge 210 and the fixing member 212.This arrangement makes it possible to create a nesting effect and to create a vertical force tending to bring the plate 3 closer to the support surface 20 due to the shape of the bulge 210 narrowing towards the end of the rod located on the side of the fixing member 212.
[0037] The front floor 10 of the vehicle 1 is for example delimited at the front by an apron extending towards the top of the vehicle 1, the platform 3 extending to the apron in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
[0038] In an alternative embodiment, the support 2 is an added part fixed to the wheel arch 11. For example, the support 2 is a part made by plastic injection or by thermoforming, fixed to the wall of the wheel arch 11 located on the side of the interior of the passenger compartment of the vehicle 1, as illustrated in [Fig.2]. In the case of a wheel arch 11 made of plastic, the support 2 is fixed for example using screws, not shown, passing through through holes 24 in the support 2 and screwing onto the wheel arch 11. As illustrated in [Fig.2], the support 2 comprises for example a curved zone 22 forming the bearing surface 20, the curved zone 22 being surrounded by a rim 23 matching the shape of the wheel arch 11 at the level of the zone of said wheel arch 11 on which said support 2 is fixed. The through holes 24 are for example in the rim 23. In another variant, the support 2 is glued to the wheel arch 11 using a bead of glue deposited on the rim 23. In another variant, the support 2 is fixed to a trim of the front pillar 13 located inside the passenger compartment of the vehicle 1.
[0039] [Fig. 3] illustrates the platform 3 alone. The platform 3 is generally rectangular in shape, comprising at one of the corners of the rectangle a notch 35 arranged so as to go around the wheel arch 11 when the platform 3 is installed in the vehicle 1, bearing against the bearing surface 20. In other words, the platform 3 comprises an outer lateral edge 31, arranged on the side of the door opening 12, an inner lateral edge 32 opposite the outer lateral edge 31, a rear edge 34 connecting the rear ends of the outer 31 and inner 32 lateral edges, and a front edge 33 connected on one side to the front end of the inner lateral edge 32 and on the other to the outer lateral edge 31 via the notch 35. The inner 32 and outer 31 lateral edges are substantially parallel to each other, extending along the longitudinal axis X to the vehicle 1.The front lateral edge 33 is shorter than the rear lateral edge 34, and the outer lateral edge 31 is also shorter than the inner lateral edge 32, the difference in length being linked to the presence of the notch 35 between the outer lateral edge 31 and the front lateral edge 33 of the platform 3.
[0040] The holding interface 30 is arranged for example close to an edge of the platform 3 located in the notch, so as to be opposite the reversible holding means 21 fixed to the support 2, the platform 3 resting on the support 2 at the level of the notch 35. In other words, the part of the platform 3 in contact with the bearing surface 20 is located along at least a part of an edge of said platform 3 located in the notch 35.
