Title of the invention: Pre-assembled, foldable cardboard packaging
[0001] The present invention relates to a pre-assembled, foldable cardboard package adapted to be folded into a volume and then closed to be locked.
[0002] One envisaged field of application is in particular, but not exclusively, that of mail order sales where it is necessary to pack the shipped products quickly and to ensure that the packaging is locked.
[0003] Known packaging, of the "American-style" type, comprises two longitudinal walls held parallel to each other by two parallel transverse walls, each hinged to the two longitudinal walls. Thus, the two longitudinal walls are adapted to be supported perpendicularly to the transverse walls, defining a receiving volume.
[0004] They further comprise a bottom wall mounted hinged to one of the longitudinal walls so as to engage with the opposite longitudinal wall. The other longitudinal wall also comprises another hinged bottom wall, while the two transverse walls comprise two walls cut at an angle and connected respectively to said other bottom wall and to said bottom wall. Pre-assembled foldable cardboard packaging comprising: - two first walls (124, 126) held parallel to each other by two second walls parallel to each other (128, 130) respectively hinged to said two first walls, said two first walls (124, 126) being adapted to be carried perpendicular to said second walls (128, 130) defining a receiving volume (115); - a third wall (136) having two opposite faces (132, 134) and mounted hinged to one (124) of said two first walls so as to be able to engage with the other (126) of said two first walls forming a base, one (132) of said two opposite faces extending opposite said receiving volume (115);- a fourth wall (50) mounted hinged on said one (124) of said first two walls opposite said third wall (136) so as to be able to engage with the other (126) of said first two walls by forming a lid, said fourth wall (50) extending by a first flap (54) hinged so as to be able to be applied against the other (126) of said first two walls; characterized in that said third wall (136) has, opposite said one of said first walls, a first tab (42) folded against said one (132) of said two opposite faces to form a first hooking shoulder (118), while said first flap (54) has, opposite said fourth wall (50), a second tab (58) folded partially on itself by forming a second hooking shoulder (65);and in that said second tongue (58) is adapted to be engaged through said other (126) of said first two walls to come opposite said one (132) of said two faces so that said first (118) and second (65) shoulders come into contact with each other.;
2. Packaging according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a second flap (66) hinged on said other (126) of said first two walls along a first line of articulation so as to be able to be applied against said (132) one of said two opposite faces.
3. Packaging according to claim 2, characterized in that said other (126) of said first two walls has a slot (76) along said first line of articulation in order to be able to engage said second tongue (58).
4. Packaging according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that it comprises two third notched flaps (80, 82) respectively hinged on said second walls (128, 130) and respectively connected laterally to said third wall (136) and said second flap (66).
5. Packaging according to claim 4, characterized in that it comprises two fourth flaps (108, 110) respectively hinged on said second walls (128, 130) opposite said two third flaps (80, 82).
6. Packaging according to any one of claims 2 to 5, characterized in that it comprises a fifth flap (104) hinged on said other (126) of said first two walls opposite said second flap (66).
7. Packaging according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that said first tab (42) is glued against said one (132) of said two opposite faces.
8. Packaging according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that said third wall (136) has, opposite said one of said first walls, an anchoring tab (46) adapted to engage in said other (126) of said first two walls.

Cardboard blank for making packaging according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that it comprises: - a longitudinal strip (12) comprising two first panels (14, 16) separated from each other by a first second panel (18) and a second second panel (20) adjoining one (14) of said first panels opposite said first second panel (16); - a third panel (32) adjoining transversely to one (14) of said first panels, on one side of said longitudinal strip; - a fourth panel (50) adjoining transversely to said one of said first panels (14) opposite said third panel (32), said fourth panel having a first extension (54);characterized in that said third panel (32) has, opposite said one of said first panels (14), a first projecting extension (42), while said first extension (54) has, opposite said fourth panel (50), a second projecting extension (58) having a width greater than said first; extension (42).

Cardboard blank according to claim 9, characterized in that it further comprises a fifth panel (66) transversely adjoining the other (16) of said first panels of said one side of said longitudinal strip (12), said other of said first panels having a thin oblong cutout (76) along said fifth panel (66).
11. Cardboard blank according to claim 9 or 10, characterized in that it further comprises two sixth notched panels (80, 82) transversely adjoining respectively the two second panels (18, 20) of said one side of said longitudinal strip (12).
12. Cardboard blank according to any one of claims 9 to 11, characterized in that said first projecting extension (42) is delimited from said third panel (32) by a fold line (44) and in that said third panel (32) has a U-shaped cut comprising two opposing branches joining said fold line.
