Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING AN ENGINE TARGET FOR CARRYING OUT SEALING TESTS, METHOD AND PROGRAM BASED ON SUCH A VEHICLE
[0001] The invention relates to the field of motor vehicle engine transmission systems, and the sealing of the crankshaft plates of these systems. The invention relates more particularly to the engine target of these transmission systems.
[0002] The sensor target and the dynamic seal are two separate parts with very distinct functions.
[0003] The prior art crankshaft illustrated in [Fig.l], comprises a V plate and seals to ensure the sealing of the engine block.
[0004] The engine target is arranged on the crankshaft plate. It is used to detect the engine speed.
[0005] In the event of a leak in the seal, oil leaks result in significant CO2 emissions and a risk of non-compliance with government pollution control standards.
[0006] Thus, a sealing test can be carried out to check whether there are any sealing defects. This test is carried out with a dome (called a "bell") receiving the crankshaft plate V and the engine target. The bell is equipped with two concentric circular seals forming a test chamber.
[0007] Leak tests require specific equipment, namely this bell, which must be handled and then stored.
[0008] An objective of the present invention is to remedy the defects of the prior art, and in particular to propose a solution to limit the need for specific equipment to carry out sealing tests.
[0009] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes a motor vehicle comprising an engine which comprises: - a crankshaft plate; and - an engine target disposed against the crankshaft plate, the engine target comprising a first target disc disposed against the crankshaft plate, characterized in that the engine target has a cylindrical shape and further comprises: - a second target disc disposed against the first target disc, delimiting a pressure chamber between the two target discs, and - a transverse orifice arranged on the surface of revolution of the cylindrical shape.
[0010] Advantageously, the vehicle engine target has the attributes of the bell of the leak tests of the prior art, which limits the need for specific equipment and mounting.
[0011] Furthermore, the invention makes it possible to limit oil leaks at the dynamic seal, and to optimize and facilitate the mounting of the target on the seal.
[0012] According to a variant, the engine further comprises two concentric circular seals arranged between the engine target and the crankshaft plate.
[0013] This seals the gap between the first target disc and the crankshaft plate.
[0014] According to a variant, the first target disc comprises reliefs for positioning the circular seals.
[0015] This keeps the joints in position.
[0016] According to a variant, the first target disc comprises axial orifices, and the circular seals are external to these axial orifices relative to the center of the first target disc.
[0017] This makes it possible to adapt it to a usual crankshaft configuration.
[0018] According to a variant, the motor vehicle further comprises an on-board alert means connected to the engine target, the alert means making it possible to alert of a leak at the engine target.
[0019] This allows the driver or an operator to be warned of a leak at the engine target.
[0020] Another object of the invention relates to an engine target of a crankshaft plate of an engine of a motor vehicle according to the invention, characterized in that it has a cylindrical shape and comprises: - the first target disc; - the second target disc arranged against the first target disc, delimiting a pressure chamber between the two target discs, and - a transverse orifice arranged on the surface of revolution of the cylindrical shape.
[0021] The invention further relates to a method for testing the tightness of a crankshaft plate of an engine of a motor vehicle according to the invention, the crankshaft plate being equipped with said engine target, characterized in that the testing method comprises at least one step of pressure testing via the transverse orifice.
[0022] According to a variant, the control method is implemented on an assembled engine.
[0023] According to a variant, the control method further comprises an alert step. to alert of a leak at the engine target.
[0024] The invention also relates to a computer program comprising ins program code instructions for executing the steps of the control method according to the invention, when said program operates on a computer.
[0025] The invention will be further detailed by the description of non-limiting embodiments, and on the basis of the appended figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which: - [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a view in space of a transmission system suitable for implementing the invention; - [Fig.2] schematically illustrates a view in space illustrating the rear face of a motor target according to the invention; - [Fig.3] schematically illustrates a sectional view along III-III of [Fig.l]; -[Fig.4] schematically illustrates a sectional view along IV-IV of [Fig.3]; - [Fig.5] schematically illustrates a front view of the motor target of Figures 1 to 2; And - [Fig.6] schematically illustrates a close-up view from above of [Fig.3].
[0026] The invention relates to a transmission system of an engine of a motor vehicle, and more particularly to the engine target of this transmission system.
[0027] The invention relates to the implementation of the functionalities of the sealing tool (sealing bell) on the engine target. To this end, the applicant proposes to add to the target a system for detecting and monitoring leaks at the seal, and to have both the action of carrying out the sealing test and the control of leak thresholds by means of a single part equipped with a pressure sensor for detection.
[0028] Thus, the engine target has a cylindrical shape and comprises a first target disc C1 arranged against the crankshaft plate V, and a second target disc C2 arranged against the first target disc C1, delimiting a pressure chamber P between the two target discs C1, C2. Furthermore, the engine target comprises a transverse orifice OT arranged on the surface of revolution of the cylindrical shape.
[0029] The invention makes it possible to improve and optimize the mounting of the target and the dynamic seal, and to optimize the sealing test and the duration of the test. In addition, it makes it possible to have in real time the situation of the sealing of the zones of the transmission system.
[0030] The transverse orifice OT forms a pressure inlet zone in the target acting as a bell.
[0031] The first target disc C1 carries reliefs for positioning the concentric circular seals J1, J2 arranged between the engine target and the crankshaft plate V.
[0032] Circular internal reliefs Z1, Z2 delimit between them a sealed annular zone subjected to pressure.
[0033] Concerning the method of supplying pressure to the target, during assembly, a leak test is carried out via the transverse orifice under pressure at 300 mbar as currently recommended.
[0034] The positive point is that there is no longer any need to mount a bell as in the prior art, which implies an optimization of the test time. Advantageously, the tests can be carried out while the vehicle is running.
[0035] The invention makes it possible to monitor and detect a sealing leak threshold of 220 cc / m continuously via a pressure sensor in order to see the variation in pressures between the target and the rear support plate V via a supply pipe coming either from the air circuit or from the turbocharger return circuit (exhaust).
[0036] The invention further relates to a method and a corresponding control program. The program can be loaded into a controller of the motor vehicle.
