Description

Title of the invention: Cosmetic kit, cosmetic set and manufacturing method Technical field

[0001] The present disclosure relates to the field of cosmetics, and more particularly relates to a cosmetic kit, a cosmetic set and a method for manufacturing a cosmetic set. Prior art

[0002] Some cosmetic products, such as a lipstick, a cream or a balm, do not have the primary function of perfuming but can be perfumed in order to increase the user's pleasure. The cosmetic product is then pre-perfumed during its manufacture and marketed in as many variants as there are scents offered. However, this induces logistical constraints for the management of the different scents, and generally results in limited, if not non-existent, choice for the user.

[0003] There is therefore a need for a new type of cosmetic kit. Statement of the invention

[0004] For this purpose, the present disclosure relates to a cosmetic kit, comprising a packaging device defining at least in part a compartment capable of containing a cosmetic product, and a perfuming element provided with packaging, the perfuming element being configured, once the packaging is removed, to couple with the packaging device opening onto the compartment.

[0005] The packaging device may leave the compartment at least partially open, typically to allow dispensing of the cosmetic product. The compartment may be configured to close, for example by cooperation between several parts of the packaging device, or by cooperation between the packaging device and one or more other parts, such as the fragrance element itself. Thus, in some embodiments, the compartment may be closed when the fragrance element is coupled to the packaging device.

[0006] The packaging device may form a support for the cosmetic product. The cosmetic product may comprise at least one fatty substance such as an oil, a wax or a butter.

[0007] The packaging device may be sized so that it can be handled by a user with bare hands.

[0008] A perfuming element is an element capable of diffusing and transmitting a fragrance to its environment: it comprises an odorous compound which is volatile, that is to say that it is not trapped in the material of the fragrance element. The volatile compound may be released into the environment of the fragrance element and deposit on other parts. The odorant compound may include one or more types of odorant molecules.

[0009] The coupling of the perfuming element with the packaging device can be direct or indirect, for example using at least one intermediate part.

[0010] The packaging is configured to limit the migration of the odorous compound. The packaging may surround or cover all or part of the fragrance element, for example at least the areas of the fragrance element comprising the odorous compound. The packaging may be airtight or not, depending on the persistence of the odorous compound in the fragrance element.

[0011] Thanks to the present cosmetic kit, it is possible to provide on the one hand a packaging device to be provided with a potentially olfactory neutral cosmetic product, and on the other hand a perfuming element provided with packaging. Due to the coupling of the perfuming element with the packaging device opening onto the compartment, once the packaging is removed, the odorous compound of the perfuming element migrates from the perfuming element to the cosmetic product, where it is adsorbed, in order to perfume the cosmetic product. This technique, which can be referred to as indirect enfleurage, because it involves the perfuming element to perfume the cosmetic product, allows much easier customization of the scent of the cosmetic product, and therefore offers users a wider choice of scents since it is not necessary to pre-perfume the cosmetic product and therefore to freeze its scent from its manufacture.Furthermore, since the perfuming step is carried out following the user's choice and not beforehand, the manufacture of the cosmetic product is simplified and the perfuming step itself is freed from industrial constraints.

[0012] For the purposes of this disclosure, the cosmetic kit designates the packaging device and the perfuming element whether or not they are coupled to each other, and this cosmetic kit is more particularly called a cosmetic assembly when the perfuming element is coupled to the packaging device. For the sake of brevity, we speak more simply of kit and assembly to designate respectively the cosmetic kit and the cosmetic assembly.

[0013] In some embodiments, the perfuming element is at least partly solid and the cosmetic kit comprises means for attaching the perfuming element to the packaging device. For the purposes of the present disclosure, a solid element is an element which is capable of retaining its shape at room temperature (typically between 15°C and 40°C) without requiring a container, as opposed to a fluid. Solid elements include semi-solid elements.

[0014] In these embodiments, the perfuming element is such that it can be coupled to the packaging device by fastening means, for example mechanical cooperation of the shape cooperation type, snap-fastening, etc., or magnetic or other fastening means. The fastening means can be provided on the packaging device, on the perfuming element, distributed partly on the packaging device and partly on the perfuming element, or even external to the packaging device and the perfuming element. In other words, in certain embodiments, the fastening means are distinct from the perfuming element and the packaging device: it can be for example a porous retention membrane. More generally, the fastening means leave free communication between the perfuming element and the compartment. In other embodiments, the fixing means are integrated into the perfuming element and / or the packaging device: for example, this involves a groove / rib cooperation, one being provided on the perfuming element and the other on the packaging device.

[0015] In some embodiments, the fragrance element comprises a cover of the packaging device, a concrete block or a pre-impregnated support. These examples form illustrations of fragrance elements that are at least partly solid. The concrete block can take any desired shape, for example a pellet shape.

[0016] In some embodiments, the perfuming element comprises an odorous compound integrated into the material of a member at least partially defining the compartment. Integrated into the material means that the perfuming element is mechanically inseparable from the material of the member which at least partially defines the compartment. Thus, the odorous compound is integrated into the perfuming element during its manufacture. The odorous compound is therefore capable of being released directly into the compartment and thus migrating towards the cosmetic product. For example, said material may form the majority of the aforementioned member, which simplifies manufacture and makes perfuming more homogeneous. Typically, the odorous compound may be integrated by encapsulation (which includes microencapsulation) into the material of the member, which is for example a polymer. In particular, it is possible to encapsulate the odorous compound in a colorant of the material of the member.

[0017] In some embodiments, the fragrance element is fluid and the cosmetic kit includes an absorbent support configured to be impregnated with the fragrance element. In the case of a fluid fragrance element, the packaging may be a bottle or other container. Removing the packaging then includes removing the fragrance element from the bottle to impregnate the absorbent support with the fragrance element. In one example, the absorbent support may include a porous material. Examples of absorbent media include: a ceramic block, a cardboard element, a salt cartridge or silicone gel, a fiber pad (woven or non-woven, and / or microporous fibers), a foam or a cellular material.

[0018] In some embodiments, the absorbent support is integrated into the packaging device. Thus, when customizing the cosmetic kit, it is sufficient to impregnate the absorbent support with the fluid perfuming element removed from its packaging. In other embodiments, the absorbent support is separate from the packaging device and comprises means for attachment to the compartment. As detailed previously mutatis mutandis, the attachment means may be integrated or separate from the absorbent support itself.

[0019] In some embodiments, the cosmetic kit further comprises a cosmetic product contained in the compartment.

[0020] In certain embodiments, the perfuming element comprises an odorous compound different from the compounds contained in the packaging device and / or in the cosmetic product. Thus, as detailed previously, it is possible to simplify the manufacture of the cosmetic product since it is not necessary to include the odorous compound in the prior formulation of the cosmetic product or the packaging device.

[0021] In some embodiments, the cosmetic product is a solid or pasty product, such as a lipstick bullet, balm, or cream.

[0022] In some embodiments, the cosmetic product comprises at least one of a pigment and a care product, for example a moisturizer. More generally, the cosmetic product has a primary function other than perfuming, and the odorous compound provided by the perfuming element enhances the use of the cosmetic product.

[0023] In certain embodiments, the cosmetic product, before removal from the packaging, is unscented. In other words, the cosmetic product, before removal from the packaging, may be olfactorily neutral. The cosmetic product may have a minor residual odor related to its compounds, but which a person skilled in the art would not describe as a perfume or fragrance, as opposed to compounds well identified as being perfuming, typically essential oils, concretes, absolutes, hydrosols, extracts, or more generally any natural (for example animal or vegetable) or synthetic raw material associated with a scent, etc.

[0024] The present disclosure also relates to a method for manufacturing a cosmetic assembly, comprising the provision of a packaging device defining at least in part a compartment capable of containing a cosmetic product, the provision of a perfuming element provided with packaging, the removal of the packaging from the element perfuming and coupling the perfuming element without packaging to the packaging device, overlooking the compartment.

[0025] The manufacturing method can be implemented with the components of the cosmetic kit described above. All or part of the characteristics described with regard to the cosmetic kit can be transposed to the manufacturing method.

[0026] In certain embodiments, the manufacturing method further comprises, after coupling, perfuming a cosmetic product contained in the compartment with the perfuming element. The perfuming, namely the migration of at least one odorous compound from the perfuming element to the cosmetic product, can be carried out immediately upon coupling, by indirect enfleurage as previously explained. The cosmetic product may be present in the compartment before coupling.

[0027] In certain embodiments, the perfuming is carried out at room temperature, typically between 15°C and 40°C. Such indirect enfleurage, known as “cold”, makes it possible to perfume the cosmetic product with delicate compounds which would degrade in the heat, while avoiding the constraints associated with the industrial manufacture of the cosmetic product since the perfuming is carried out a posteriori. Indeed, industrially, the introduction of odorous compounds is rather carried out hot, at a temperature generally above 80°C.

[0028] In some embodiments, the perfuming is carried out while the compartment is closed. This results in better preservation of the odorous compound and more effective perfuming.

[0029] In certain embodiments, during perfuming, the distance between the cosmetic product and the perfuming element is non-zero, and optionally less than or equal to 3 centimeters. This technique may be called remote enfleurage. In other embodiments, the perfuming element may be brought into contact with the cosmetic product.

[0030] In some embodiments, the method is carried out without prior introduction of fragrance into the cosmetic product. In other words, the cosmetic product may be unscented before removal from the packaging, as previously discussed.

[0031] The present disclosure also relates to a cap for a cosmetic product packaging device, the cap comprising an odorous compound integrated into the material of the cap at least partially defining a compartment of the packaging device, said compartment being capable of containing a cosmetic product. Such a cap may form a perfuming element within the meaning of the present disclosure, and possess all or part of the characteristics described previously with regard to the perfuming element.

[0032] The present disclosure also relates to a hood portion such as an insert for a cover of a cosmetic product packaging device, the cover portion comprising an odorous compound integrated into the material of the cover portion at least partially defining a compartment of the packaging device, said compartment being capable of containing a cosmetic product. Brief description of the drawings

[0033] Other characteristics and advantages of the subject of the present disclosure will emerge from the following description of embodiments, given as non-limiting examples, with reference to the appended figures.

[0036] [Fig. 3] is a sectional view of a perfuming element according to a second embodiment.

[0037] [Fig.4] is a perspective view of a perfuming element according to a third embodiment.

[0038] [Fig.5] is a sectional view of a cosmetic assembly according to a fourth embodiment. Detailed description

[0039] A cosmetic assembly 10 according to a first embodiment is illustrated in longitudinal section in [Fig.l]. The cosmetic assembly 10 comprises a packaging device 20 and a perfumed element 30 coupled to the packaging device 30. The packaging device 20 and the perfumed element 30 may be provided separately, typically in the form of a cosmetic kit comprising the packaging device 20 and, independently, the perfumed element 30.

[0040] The packaging device 20 defines at least in part a compartment 40 capable of containing a cosmetic product 50. In this embodiment, the cosmetic product 50 is a solid or pasty product such as a lipstick stick, or more generally a fatty substance such as an oil, a wax or a butter. However, instead of or in addition to a lipstick stick or any other product comprising a pigment, the cosmetic product 50 could comprise at least one care product and / or a moisturizing product. The cosmetic product comprising a pigment may be a makeup product.

[0041] The packaging device 20 comprises for example a base 22 and a tubular skirt 24, extending from the base 22 and configured to accommodate the lipstick stick. The base 22 and the skirt 24 at least partially define the compartment 40. Although not illustrated, the packaging device 20 may comprise any cosmetic product dispensing mechanism 50, for example, for a lipstick or other solid or pasty product, a release and retraction mechanism, which may include a cam or the like.

[0042] In this embodiment, the cosmetic product 50 protrudes from the housing formed by the skirt 24, in which case the packaging device 20 forms, here, only a part of the compartment 40.

[0043] The other part of the compartment 40 may be formed by a cover 32 intended to prevent any accidental dispensing of the cosmetic product 50 and to ensure the preservation of the cosmetic product 50. Conventionally, the cover 32 is coupled to the packaging device 20 by fitting onto the packaging device 20, and may optionally be retained there by holding means known per se. The interior of the cover 32 defines, with the packaging device 20, the compartment 40.

[0044] The perfuming element 30 is here at least partly solid. In [Fig.l], the perfuming element 30 is shown without its packaging, which will be described later. As indicated previously, the perfuming element 30 is configured, once the packaging has been removed, to couple with the packaging device 20 opening onto the compartment 40.

[0045] In this case, the perfuming element 30 is at least partly solid and fixing means fix the perfuming element 30 to the packaging device 20. The perfuming element 30 may be a part added inside the cover 32, the cover 32 then forming said fixing means for coupling the perfuming element 30 to the packaging device 20.

[0046] Since the perfuming element 30 is fixed inside the cover 32, the perfuming element 30 opens onto the compartment 40 when the cover 32 is assembled to the packaging device 20.

[0047] For example, the perfuming element 30 may be an absorbent support pre-impregnated with an odorous compound, in particular a volatile odorous compound. The absorbent support may be formed from a cellulose-based material, such as cardboard, or formed from a sponge, foam or any cellular material, or formed by a pad of woven and / or non-woven fibers, for example felt fibers or microporous fibers. According to another example, the perfuming element 30 may be a cap insert, for example made of perfumed polymer (plastic materials, salt or silicone gel). The odorous compound may be different from the compounds contained in the packaging device 20 and / or in the cosmetic product 50.

[0048] The perfuming element 30 can be assembled to the cover 32 by gluing or by mechanical cooperation, or by being retained there by a porous membrane, or by any other suitable fixing method.

[0049] In the example illustrated in [Fig. 1], the perfuming element 30 is at a non-zero distance from the cosmetic product 50. Despite this, the odorous compound contained in the perfuming element 30 can evaporate and fill the compartment 40. In doing so, the odorous compound can be adsorbed on the surface of the cosmetic product 50, which results in perfuming, or here indirect enfleurage, of the cosmetic product 50. This perfuming can be carried out while the compartment 40 is closed, which maximizes adsorption by the cosmetic product 50 and limits losses of odorous compound by dissemination in the air. Furthermore, this perfuming can be carried out at room temperature, typically between 15 and 40°C, which makes it possible to give the cosmetic product 50 scents derived from odorous compounds which would be degraded by industrial treatment at high temperature.

[0050] Thus, the perfuming, and more generally the manufacture of the cosmetic assembly 10, can be implemented without prior introduction of perfume into the cosmetic product 50.

[0051] [Fig. 2] illustrates more particularly the perfuming element 30 and the cover 32 in longitudinal section. Furthermore, [Fig. 2] represents a packaging 34 with which the perfuming element 30 is provided. The packaging 34 is configured to limit, or even avoid, the evaporation of the odorous compound from the perfuming element. The packaging 34 can take any suitable form. For example, [Fig. 2] shows the packaging 34 in the form of a seal extending through the interior of the cover 32 so as to cover the perfuming element 30. The seal can be provided with a tab to facilitate its removal. The packaging 34 can be in contact with or at a distance from the perfuming element. In this case, the seal hermetically isolates the perfuming element 30, however, depending on the volatility of the odorous compound, non-hermetic packaging 34 may be considered, for example a cardboard case.

[0052] The manufacture of a cosmetic assembly such as the cosmetic assembly 10 may comprise the provision of a packaging device 20 defining at least in part a compartment 40 capable of containing a cosmetic product 50, the provision of a perfuming element 30 provided with a packaging 34, then the removal of the packaging 34 from the perfuming element 30 and the coupling of the perfuming element 30 without packaging to the packaging device, opening onto the compartment 40. In the first embodiment, [Fig. 2] shows the perfuming element 30 provided with its packaging 34 and [Fig. 1] shows the perfuming element 30 after removal of the packaging 34 and coupled to the packaging device 20 via the cover 32.

[0053] As detailed above, the cosmetic product 50 may be, before removal from the packaging 34, unscented. Then, it is only when the packaging is removed and the perfuming element 30 coupled to the packaging device 20 that the odorous compound migrates from the perfuming element to the cosmetic product 50, ensuring the perfuming of the cosmetic product 50.

[0054] In the first embodiment illustrated in Figures 1 and 2, the perfuming element 30 is a pre-impregnated support. However, the perfuming element 30 is not limited to this embodiment.

[0055] For example, the perfuming element may be a fluid, and the cosmetic kit may comprise an absorbent support configured to be impregnated with the fluid perfuming element. The packaging may be a container containing the fluid perfuming element, typically a bottle. The absorbent support may be integrated into the packaging device 20; alternatively, the absorbent support may be separate from the packaging device and comprise means for attachment to the compartment 40, for example to the packaging device 20 or to the cover 32, opening onto the compartment 40.

[0056] In these embodiments, the solid pre-impregnated support previously described can therefore be replaced by an absorbent support which is subsequently impregnated with the perfuming element. All the other characteristics detailed previously are transposed mutatis mutandis to this variant, for example the method of fixing the absorbent support which can be the same as that of the pre-impregnated support, or even the types of absorbent supports which can be the same as the pre-impregnated supports (for example: ceramic, cellulose-based material, cellular material, fibrous material, perfuming salt).

[0057] Such embodiments make it possible to easily regenerate the odorous character of the absorbent support, by impregnating it again with the liquid perfuming element.

[0058] Figures 3 to 5 show the perfuming element in other embodiments. In these figures, the elements corresponding or identical to those of the first embodiment will receive the same reference sign and will not be described again.

[0059] In the second embodiment shown in [Fig. 3], the perfuming element 30 comprises a cover of the packaging device 20. In order to make the cover perfuming, the perfuming element 30 may comprise an odorous compound integrated into the material of a member defining at least in part the compartment 40, here in the material of the cover forming the perfuming element 30. For example, the odorous compound may be encapsulated, or even micro-encapsulated, in a colorant of the material of the cover. After coupling the perfuming element to the packaging device 20, the odorous compound diffuses naturally into the compartment 40.

[0060] The coupling of the hood, forming a perfuming element 30, to the packaging device 20 may be identical or different from that described for the first embodiment.

[0061] As shown schematically in [Fig. 3], the odorous compound can be distributed throughout the entire hood. Consequently, [Fig. 3] shows another type of packaging 34 provided to reduce the loss of odorous compound by evaporation. In this embodiment, the packaging 34 completely surrounds the perfuming element 30 (here the cap), preferably forming a hermetic enclosure around the perfuming element 30. This enclosure separates the interior of the packaging 34, where the perfuming element is contained, and the exterior of the packaging 34.

[0062] The packaging 34 may comprise at least one film or membrane, for example a polymer film glued to itself, for example heat-sealed. The packaging 34 may be tearable with bare hands.

[0063] Alternatively, the odorous compound may be provided only in a portion of the perfuming element 30, for example all or part of the surface of the perfuming element 30 overlooking the compartment 40. This avoids perfuming the atmosphere even when the compartment 40 is closed.

[0064] The third embodiment, illustrated in [Fig. 4], shows another variant of the perfuming element. In this embodiment, the pre-impregnated support of [Fig. 1] is replaced by a concrete block, for example in the form of a pellet. The perfuming element 30, in particular here the concrete block, may have a shape matching the internal shape of the cap 32. As fixing means, one or more ribs 36 may be provided on the periphery of the perfuming element 30, in order either to cooperate with one or more corresponding grooves of the cap 32, or to allow the perfuming element 30 to be held by friction against the internal wall of the cap 32.

[0065] Alternatively, the concrete block forming the perfuming element 30 can be cast directly into the cover 32 or cast into an intermediate support, for example a cup, which is in turn placed in the cover 32. As detailed previously, other fixing means are also possible.

[0066] The fourth embodiment, illustrated in [Fig. 5], differs from the first embodiment in that instead of being fixed to the cover 32, the perfuming element 30 is fixed to the packaging device 20. More precisely, the perfuming element 30 is here positioned between the cosmetic product 50 and the packaging device 20, in particular the base 22. In this embodiment, the perfuming element 30 can be in contact with the cosmetic product 50. The perfuming element 30 does indeed open onto the compartment 40 insofar as the perfuming element 30 opens onto the space of the packaging device 20 receiving the cosmetic product 50.

[0067] In this type of embodiment, to the extent that the perfuming element 30 is located at one end of the cosmetic product 50 opposite the end used by the user, we can speak of bottom enfleurage. The odorous compound contained in the perfuming element 30 migrates into the cosmetic product 50 in order to perfume it.

[0068] Although the perfuming element 30 has been shown adjacent to the base 22, at the bottom of the packaging device 20, other arrangements may be envisaged. For example, the perfuming element may extend along all or part of the skirt 24, for example in the form of an annular sleeve coaxial with the skirt 24 and in contact with the skirt 24.

[0069] Although the present description refers to specific embodiments, modifications may be made to these examples without departing from the general scope of the invention. For example, although the perfuming element 30 has most often been presented at the bottom of the cover 32 to facilitate its production, other positions are conceivable, either on the cover 32, or even on the packaging device 20 or any other part, as long as the perfuming element 30 opens onto the compartment 40. More generally, individual characteristics of the different embodiments illustrated or mentioned may be combined in additional embodiments. Consequently, the description and the drawings must be considered in an illustrative rather than restrictive sense.
