AI Technical Summary
Existing rear axle modules in electric and hybrid vehicles require complete disassembly for after-sales work on the electric motor, leading to increased intervention time and cost.
The axle is designed with a cross member comprising an upper part and a lower part that are fixed together removably, allowing the lower part to be easily detached by unscrewing, thus enabling access to the electric motor without disassembling the entire axle.
Facilitates faster and less expensive after-sales interventions on the electric motor by allowing the lower part to be removed without disassembling the axle, reducing the need for additional manipulations.

Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: ELECTRIC OR HYBRID MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING AN AXLE COMPRISING AN UPPER PART AND A LOWER PART
[0001] The invention relates to electric or hybrid motor vehicles, and more particularly to the rear axles of these vehicles.
[0002] Known from the prior art is a patent application US2016083012 which describes a rear axle module installed on the body of a vehicle, the vehicle comprising two axles and two tracks which can be electrically driven by an electric motor. The rear axle module comprises two rear axle elements allowing its attachment to the rear wheels of said vehicle. In addition, the axle module comprises a housing. The housing is intended to receive a set of components intended to provide electrical energy. The housing is positioned at the front of said rear axle module and is attached to the rear axle elements, or even said housing is entirely integrated with the rear axle elements. The rear axle module is attached to the body from below by means of two rear axle elements. For this, the two rear axle elements comprise bearings positioned in a rear end zone of the rear axle module. Two axle elements with bearings are also positioned in a central area of the rear axle module. However, disadvantages remain. When the rear axle module is mounted on the vehicle, it is no longer possible to reach the electric motor for after-sales work on the electric motor. It is necessary to completely dismantle the rear axle module. This makes the intervention on the electric motor longer, and therefore more expensive for the customer. Furthermore, this complicates the intervention.
[0003] The objective of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to allow intervention on the electric motor of a vehicle without the need to dismantle the rear axle.
[0004] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes an electric or hybrid motor vehicle comprising an electric motor, said vehicle comprising a front running gear and a rear running gear whose points of contact with the ground define a base plane defined by a first longitudinal direction corresponding to straight-line driving, by a second transverse direction orthogonal to the first longitudinal direction and a third vertical direction orthogonal to the first direction and to the second direction and is oriented away from the ground, said vehicle comprising an axle, a chassis and rear wheels in the first direction, said axle connecting the rear wheels to the chassis, the axle comprising a cross member, remarkable in that said cross member comprises an upper part and a lower part in the third direction, said upper part and said lower part being fixed together in a removable manner, said lower part comprising at least one suspension wedge, said upper part being fixed to the chassis and said lower part being fixed to the electric motor by means of said at least one suspension wedge.
[0005] Thanks to the invention, after-sales intervention on said electric motor is made easier, faster and, consequently, less expensive for the customer.
[0006] Advantageously, said upper part is fixed to the chassis by screws.
[0007] Advantageously, said lower part is fixed to said upper part by screws.
[0008] Thus, a simple unscrewing allows the removal of the lower part, and consequently the removal of the electric motor.
[0009] Advantageously, said lower part comprises two arms, each arm comprising one of said suspension wedges.
[0010] Preferably, each suspension wedge is fixed to each arm by screws.
[0011] Advantageously, said upper part comprises a first part sen ably parallel to the chassis in the second direction and a second part comprising two portions substantially perpendicular to the first part, said lower part being fixed to said upper part at the level of each portion.
[0012] Thus, the space required for the electric motor between the upper part and the lower part is maintained.
[0013] Preferably, said electric motor comprises a transmission shaft, each portion comprising an opening, said transmission shaft being inserted into each of the openings.
[0014] Preferably, each portion has a substantially identical height in the third direction, said height being between 15 cm and 25 cm.
[0015] Such a height allows the arrangement of the electric motor within the axle without lowering the vehicle relative to the ground.
[0016] The invention will be further detailed by the description of non-limiting embodiments, and on the basis of the appended figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which: - [Fig.l] schematically illustrates a rear view of an axle of an electric or hybrid motor vehicle according to one embodiment of the invention; - [Fig.2] schematically illustrates a side view of said axle of the vehicle at electric or hybrid car.
[0017] [Fig.l] schematically illustrates an axle of an electric or hybrid motor vehicle in rear view. [Fig.2] illustrates said axle of said electric or hybrid motor vehicle in side view. The vehicle comprises a front running gear and a rear running gear whose points of contact with the ground define a base plane XY defined by a first longitudinal direction X corresponding to straight-line driving, by a second transverse direction Y orthogonal to the first longitudinal direction X and a third vertical direction Z orthogonal to the first direction X and to the second direction Y and is oriented away from the ground. The vehicle comprises an electric motor 1, a chassis 2, an axle and rear wheels in the first direction X. The axle connects the chassis to the rear wheels of said vehicle. The axle comprises a cross member. The cross member comprises an upper part 3 and a lower part 4 in the third direction Z. The upper part 3 and the lower part 4 are removably fixed together, preferably by screws. Thus, it is easy to disassemble the lower part 4 by simply unscrewing. The upper part 3 is fixed to the chassis. Preferably, the upper part 3 is fixed to the chassis by screws 6. The lower part comprises at least one suspension wedge 5. The suspension wedge 5 is a component used in the suspension systems of motor vehicles. The suspension wedge 5 is used to absorb shocks and vibrations. The comfort of the vehicle users is thus improved. The lower part 4 is fixed to the electric motor 1 by means of said at least one suspension wedge 5.In this way, when one wishes to access the electric motor 1 to repair it for example, it is sufficient to dismantle the lower part 4 by unscrewing it from the upper part 3. Removal of the axle is not necessary. To reinstall the electric motor 1, it is sufficient to screw the lower part 4 to the upper part 3. This has the advantage of reducing the time of the intervention and therefore reducing the cost charged to the customer. In addition, the intervention is greatly facilitated because it does not require additional manipulations to completely dismantle the axle of said vehicle. Advantageously, the lower part 4 comprises two arms, each arm 7 comprising one of said suspension wedges 5. Preferably, the suspension wedges 5 are fixed to each arm 7 by screws 6. Advantageously, the upper part comprises a first part 3a and a second part. The first part 3a is substantially parallel to the chassis 2 of said vehicle in the second direction Y. The second part comprises two portions 3b. Preferably, each portion 3b has a substantially identical height, and said height is between 15 cm and 25 cm. This is a height sufficient to hold the electric motor 1 without lowering the vehicle relative to the ground. Each portion 3b is substantially perpendicular to said first part 3a. The lower part 4 is fixed to said upper part at the level of each portion 3b. Of . preferably, said electric motor 1 comprises a transmission shaft 8. Each portion 3b comprises an opening and the transmission shaft 8 is inserted into each of the openings.
