Removable extension for a terrace or balcony shower

Abstract

A device for extending the drainage of balcony or terrace drains occasionally during high-pressure cleaning. The device diverts water away from the building structure to prevent wetting lower floors during cleaning. Installation begins with straps for positioning the device, a safety strap attached to the railing and the device for support, and an angle adjustment strap also connected to the railing. Weighing only 3 kg, the device is easy to install and remove. [Fig. 1]

[0001] The present invention relates to a balcony or terrace shower extension device allowing for a more distant evacuation of cleaning water.

[0002] The showerheads as installed in buildings do not allow the water to be directed far enough away from the building and most of the time end up flowing onto the terraces or balconies of the lower floors. This can create tension within the buildings. Furthermore, a permanent installation of longer showerheads detracts from the building's aesthetics and will cause problems with the residents' association.

[0003] The device according to the invention makes it possible to remedy these problems. Indeed, the removable nature of the invention allows it to be installed and removed without construction work, without compromising aesthetics or generating noise pollution for the neighborhood. Furthermore, the ability to project the cleaning water further away from the building allows anyone who wishes to do so to clean their terrace or balcony without disturbing the floors below.

[0004] The device can be installed in less than a minute due to its ease of use. It consists of a universal PVC extension equipped with two adjustable straps that adapt to all types of balconies or terraces. The first strap secures the device (lifeline) to facilitate handling during installation, and the second strap allows adjustment of the device's inclination to create more or less steep slopes during drainage. A backflow preventer seal is included to ensure a watertight connection between the building and the device.

[0005] For information purposes, the device has a tube 100cm long and 132mm in diameter allowing it to adapt to the majority of terrace outlets.

Removable device for extending the flow of cleaning water through balcony or terrace taps characterized in that it comprises a PVC tube (1) of 100cm in length and diameter 132mm with a sealing joint (2) against backflow of water and 2 adjustable straps, a support strap (3) for positioning (lifeline) and an inclination adjustment strap (4) to give more or less slope to the water evacuation.
