Abstract

The invention relates to a device for removing food from skewers without the risk of dropping or flying the food and potentially staining it. It consists of a tray (1) with a fixed side face (2) having a notch (3) into which the skewer (4) is inserted. When the user pulls on the skewer (4), the fixed side face (2) resists the food and detaches it from the skewer into the collection tray. The user then simply pours the food into the tray. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for removing food from skewers. (See Figure 2 for abbreviations.)

Description

Title of the invention: DEVICE FOR REMOVING FOOD FROM SKEWERS technical field

[0001] The present invention relates to a device for easily removing food from skewers. State of the art

[0002] Removing food from skewers is generally done with the hands, a fork, a knife, or other kitchen utensil. Using the hands risks burning the user (for example, with food grilled on a barbecue), while using a fork or other utensil risks causing the food to jump off (because too much force is applied) and potentially staining the food. Summary

[0003] The device according to the invention makes it possible to remedy this drawback. It comprises, in fact, according to a first characteristic, a support having a tray with edges to hold the food and a fixed side face provided with a notch into which skewers of different sizes can be inserted, and to pull to detach the food which is collected on the tray and thus poured directly into a plate or other dish.

[0004] According to particular embodiments: • The tray can be of different sizes, both in length and width. • the tray can be of different shapes (rounded, flat, square, rectangular, etc...). • the fixed side part can be of different shapes (rounded, square, rectangular, etc... ). • The tray may or may not have edges. • The object can be made from different materials and mixed materials (wood, bamboo, steel, plastic, silicone, etc.). • The notch can be of different shapes (conical, straight, rounded, square, etc...). • the fixed side part where the notch is located can be at the end as well as in the middle or positioned anywhere on the tray. • the process can be directly associated on a dish, a tray, a plate, or any other container with a rim directly equipped with this notch. Figures

[0005] The attached drawings illustrate the invention:

[0006] [Fig-1] represents in cross-section, the device of the invention.

[0007] [Fig.2] represents top view without section, the device of the invention.

[0008] [Fig.3] represents the fixed lateral part, which is square in shape (front view), with a notch, the device of the invention.

[0009] [Fig.4] represents a variation of the fixed lateral part of rounded shape (front view) with a conical notch, the device of the invention. Detailed description

[0010] With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a tray (1), the fixed lateral portion (2) of which is provided with a notch (3) of any corresponding shape to accommodate and insert skewers of all shapes and sizes (4). The tray (1) may or may not have raised edges (5) to prevent food (6) and food juices from spilling out of the tray.

[0011] The length and width of the tray (1) are such that it can accommodate all sizes of skewers. Once the skewer is inserted into the notch (3) and the food (6) is placed on the tray (1), the user must pull the skewer; the lateral face with the notch (5) resists and thus holds the food, detaching it from the skewer (6). The food remains on the tray (1), making it easier to transfer it to a plate or other container.

[0012] In the embodiment of [Fig.3], the fixed lateral face (2) is square in shape and has a notch (3) to oppose the food (6) from the moment the user pulls the skewer towards him.

[0013] The shape of the fixed side face (2) is purely aesthetic and does not in any way affect the proper functioning of the invention.

[0014] According to the variant of [Fig. 4], the fixed lateral part (2) is rounded with a conical notch (3) that allows it to oppose the food (6) once the user pulls the skewer (4) towards them. This method allows the food to detach from the skewer without the risk of making a mess.

[0015] According to variants not illustrated, the tray and the fixed side part can be in different forms but the process remains the same, that is to say, the invention consists of a food collection tray and a fixed side part provided with a notch to put the food in opposition and pull on the skewer.

[0016] By way of non-limiting example, the tray will have dimensions of approximately 25 cm in length and 7 cm in width, with edges 3 cm high and 1 cm wide. The fixed side panel will have dimensions of approximately 5 cm by 5 cm. The dimensions can vary and be made in any size.

[0017] The device according to the invention is particularly intended to detach food from skewers.
