Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: MOTOR VEHICLE COMPRISING A HEATING-VENTILATION-AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM INCLUDING A HOUSING CONTAINING MULTIPLE COMPONENTS
[0001] The invention relates to the arrangement of the components of a heating-ventilation-air conditioning system of a motor vehicle.
[0002] Prior art patent application EP3249322, which describes an electric expansion valve for a refrigeration circuit of an air conditioner intended for a motor vehicle, is known. The electric expansion valve comprises a body including an inlet port for the inlet of a refrigerant and an outlet port for the outlet of said refrigerant. Furthermore, said body includes a through-passage comprising an inlet and an outlet to which a conduit is connected. In addition, said body includes a pressure sensor for measuring the pressure of said refrigerant as it circulates through said through-passage. However, a drawback remains. Indeed, the electric expansion valve only includes a pressure sensor. Thus, if it is desired to add components to the refrigeration circuit, it is necessary to install these components outside of said electric expansion valve. The refrigeration system then takes up more space than necessary in the vehicle. Furthermore, this increases the time required to install and remove the refrigeration system.
[0003] The objective of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to reduce the assembly and disassembly time of the heating-ventilation-air conditioning device.
[0004] To achieve this objective, the invention proposes a motor vehicle comprising a front running gear and a rear running gear whose points of contact with the ground define a base plane defined by a first longitudinal direction corresponding to straight-line driving, by a second transverse direction orthogonal to the first longitudinal direction and a third vertical direction orthogonal to the first and second directions and oriented away from the ground, said vehicle comprising a heating-ventilation-air conditioning device configured to circulate a gas in a predetermined direction, notable in that said heating-ventilation-air conditioning device comprises a casing, said casing comprising a first opening having an axis oriented along said predetermined direction, said casing comprising a second opening having an axis oriented along the third direction, each opening containing a component.
[0005] Thanks to the invention, all the components are grouped together in the housing, which saves space. In addition, the assembly and disassembly of these components is facilitated.
[0006] Advantageously, said predetermined direction is oriented in the first direction or in the second direction.
[0007] Advantageously, the component of the first opening includes a non-return valve or a filter.
[0008] Preferably, said housing has a third opening comprising the non-return valve or the filter.
[0009] Advantageously, said component of the second opening includes a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor or a gas filling valve.
[0010] Preferably, said heating-ventilation-air conditioning device includes an air conditioning duct through which said gas circulates, said component of the second opening being a linking interface for fixing said housing to the air conditioning duct.
[0011] Preferably, said component of the second opening has a flange for fixing it to said housing.
[0012] In this way, it is easy to replace the component of the second opening.
[0013] Advantageously, said housing comprises aluminum.
[0014] Aluminium makes it possible not to add weight to the heating-ventilation-air conditioning system, and consequently to the vehicle.
[0015] Advantageously, said housing includes at least one flange for retaining said housing in said heating-ventilation-air conditioning device.
[0016] Thus, it is easy to mount or replace said housing.
[0017] The invention will be further detailed by describing non-limiting embodiments, and based on the accompanying figures illustrating variants of the invention, in which: - [Fig. 1] schematically illustrates a housing of a heating-ventilation-air conditioning device of a motor vehicle according to an embodiment of the invention; - [Fig.2] schematically illustrates said housing comprising a non-return valve and a gas filling valve; - [Fig.3] schematically illustrates a cross-sectional view of the case shown in [Fig.2],
[0018] Figure 1 schematically illustrates a housing 1 of a heating-ventilation-air conditioning system for a motor vehicle according to an embodiment of the invention. The vehicle 100 comprises a front axle and a rear axle whose points of contact with the ground define a basic plane XY is defined by a first longitudinal direction X corresponding to straight-line travel, a second transverse direction Y orthogonal to the first longitudinal direction X, and a third vertical direction Z orthogonal to the first direction X and the second direction Y, oriented away from the ground. A gas, preferably air, circulates within the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system in a predetermined direction. The HVAC system regulates the temperature, humidity, and air quality inside the vehicle, particularly in the passenger compartment, to ensure the thermal comfort of the vehicle's occupants. The housing 1 has a first opening 2 and a second opening 3. Optionally, the housing 1 has a third opening 6, as shown in [Fig. 1].The components of the first opening 2 and the third opening 6 are positioned in the predetermined direction of gas flow. In [Fig. 1], the gas flow is along the first direction X, so the predetermined direction is oriented along the first direction X. In an alternative embodiment, the predetermined direction is oriented along the second direction Y. The component of the first opening 2 is selected from either a check valve 4 or a filter. Similarly, the third opening 6 includes either the check valve 4 or the filter. The check valve 4 controls the flow direction and prevents the gas from flowing back in the opposite direction. The filter ensures the quality of the gas, particularly the air, before it is distributed into the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Furthermore, the housing 1 includes a second opening 3, which also includes a component. The component of the second opening 3 may include a pressure sensor, a temperature sensor, or a gas filling valve 5. Alternatively, said component of the second opening 3 includes a connecting interface for attaching said housing 1 to an air conditioning duct of the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Preferably, the component of the second opening 3 includes a flange for attaching said component of the second opening 3 to said housing 1. Figures 2 and 3 illustrate an embodiment of the invention in which said housing 1 includes the check valve 4 and the filling valve 5. The presence of the housing 1 allows all these components to be grouped together in a single, compact location. This eliminates the need to find a location for each component and facilitates assembly by technicians. Assembly is therefore faster.Currently, the components are attached to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit by welding. Using a flange facilitates assembly and disassembly for replacing the component in the second opening. For the same reason, housing 1 has at least one flange to secure it within the HVAC unit. This simplifies assembly and disassembly. The installation of said housing 1 is facilitated. Preferably, said housing 1 is made of aluminum. Aluminum is a lightweight material, which helps to avoid adding weight to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system, and consequently to the vehicle.
