Abstract

One aspect of the invention relates to a method 100 for distributing elementary calculations, the method 100 comprising the steps of: 101 breaking down a complex calculation into a plurality of elementary calculations via an application; 102 transmitting said elementary calculations to an application firewall; 104 distributing said elementary calculations to a plurality of web browsers via said application firewall; 105 executing one received elementary calculation via each web browser; 106 aggregating the results of elementary calculations obtained from said web browsers via said application firewall; 107 transmitting said aggregated results of elementary calculations to said application. 1. A method (100) for distributing elementary calculations, said method (100) comprising the steps of: - Splitting (101), via an application (1), a complex calculation into a plurality of elementary calculations; - Transmitting (102), said elementary calculations, to an application firewall (2); - Distributing (104), via said application firewall (2), said elementary calculations to a plurality of web browsers (3); - Executing (105), via each web browser (3), a received elementary calculation; - Aggregating (106), via said application firewall (2), the results of elementary calculations obtained from said web browsers (3); - Transmitting (107), to said application (1), said aggregated results of elementary calculations.

A method (100) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that prior to the distribution step (104), it comprises a step of executing (103), via the application firewall (2) and web browsers (3), a proof-of-work process, the elementary calculations being distributed (104) only to web browsers (3) that have been validated by the application firewall (2) during the execution of the proof-of-work process.

A method (100) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that it comprises a step of detecting (110), via the application firewall (2), a distributed denial-of-service attack; when a distributed denial-of-service attack is detected, the method (100) comprises a step of increasing (111) the complexity of the proof-of-work process.

A method (100) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: - Determining (108) for each web browser (3), via an incentive generator (4), a reward based on a contribution to complex calculations; - Distributing (109), via the application firewall (2), a reward to each of the web browsers (3) for which a reward has been determined.

7. A method (100) according to the preceding claim, characterized in that the reward is determined based on a quantity of elementary calculations performed and / or based on the complexity of elementary calculations performed.
