Methods and systems for editing digital maps

Abstract

There is provided a computer-implemented method for editing a raw digital map of a geographical area. The method comprises providing S101 a digital map of a geographical area; utilising S104 a deep learning model built to perform object detection to identify one or more objects on the digital map; presenting to a user via a user interface, the digital map with labels annotating one or more identified objects, wherein the user interface comprises a user interaction interface configured to receive user input; receiving one or more inputs from the user amending the digital map with labels to generate a refined digital map with labels annotating one or more objects.
