Haircare appliance and attachment

Abstract

An attachment for a haircare appliance includes an airflow inlet for receiving an airflow from the haircare appliance, and a wall 62 defining an airflow outlet passageway in fluid communication with the airflow inlet. The wall’s peripheral edge 72 defines an outlet 74 for airflow exhausted from the outlet passageway to ambient atmosphere. The attachment includes a bleed passageway spaced from the outlet passageway, and the wall has a bleed formation 78, 80, 82, 84 that fluidically connects the outlet and bleed passageways. Air may be diverted through the bleed passageway when an obstruction blocks the outlet in an opposite direction to airflow in the outlet passageway. There may be a further wall (88, figure 7) around the wall 62. The bleed formation may be holes in the wall, or cut-outs (202, figure 11) in the peripheral edge of the wall. Also disclosed is a haircare appliance with the attachment being integral.
