Apparatus and methods for manoeuvring a trailer

Abstract

A control system 400 for manoeuvring a trailer 200 connected to a vehicle 100 (fig 1), comprising one or more processors 310 (fig 3) configured to receive 530, 540 (fig 5) a wirelessly transmitted level signal 447 of at least one of a pitch or roll angle of a trailer from a sensing device 445. User interface 410 sends a levelling request signal and activates levelling movement mode. In the levelling mode, the one or more processors are configured to output 740, 840 (figs 7, 8) a movement signal 426 to move the vehicle in a longitudinal direction. During levelling the vehicle moves forwards or backwards onto a ramp 250 until the trailer is level.
