Abstract
A transport container (Figure 2 – 20) with a temperature control system suitable for use in cold chain transport, the container having a base panel (Figure 2 – 24), side wall panels (Figure 2 - 26 & 27) and cover panel (Figure 2 – 25) arranged in a rectangular prism, each panel having an outside face, edge members in contact with adjacent panels and an insulating face made from insulting members. There is also an inner coolant system 30 operably arranged about a central rectangular load area, the coolant system having a support wall comprising four upstanding wall elements 31 & 32 which extend from a base edge in contact with the inside face of the base panel to a top edge which inter engages with a cover element 33 to operably enclose a load. Temperature control packages (Figure 5a – 50) are associated with the support wall, the number and type of packages being determined by a cold chain event, such as length of journey or temperature required. The support walls may have co-operating extending tabs 39 that temperature control packages can be supported on through apertures on the packages. [Figure 3a]
