Abstract

A air-gas mixer 220 for mixing an air stream 111 with a gas stream 119 for generating a combustible air-gas mixture 130 comprises a tubular mixer body 224 which extends along a longitudinal axis 222 from an air stream inflow end 226 to a mixed air-gas outflow end 228 and a gas inlet opening 319 for admitting the gas stream into the mixer body comprising a thermally deformable adjustment element 350 to adjust flow quantity of the gas stream through the gas inlet opening into the tubular mixer body as a function of a thermal expansion of the thermally deformable adjustment element. In use, the deformable member expands upon heating to close the gas inlet opening. An alternative air-gas mixer (600; 6) comprising an air conducting element (610; fig 6) with air inlet (612; fig 6) and outlet (615; fig 6) surrounded by an air gas conducting element (290; fig 6) with gas inlet (692; fig 6) and mixed gas outlet (615; fig 6) such that a gas conducting gap (620; fig 6) is formed between the conducting elements wherein a thermal deformation element (650; fig 6) is positioned to control the quantity of gas flowing through the gas conducting gap.
