Vacuum cleaner

Abstract

A vacuum cleaner with a suction motor comprising: an upstream separator 200; a downstream separator 400 with a filter with pleats; a bin enclosing upstream and downstream separators with an open end covered by a base; the upstream separator inlet nozzle is formed in the base parallel to the pleats. Ideally the vacuum cleaner is hand held with a pistol grip inclined at 10-20 degrees from the separator axis; the filter is pleated paper surrounding a U shaped interior; the filter is the same length as the primary separator; there is a agitator moving in a closed path around the filter to dislodge dirt and regenerate it when the suction motor is off; the filter is cantilevered, only supported at one end; there is a looming conduit between the separators to contain wiring.
