A method and an arrangement for aligning elevator guide rails

Abstract

The method comprises measuring the position of the two opposite rails (25) in relation to the DGB direction and the BTF direction with the aid of plumb lines (PL1, PL2) and measuring devices (100, 200) arranged at each rail. Each measuring device comprises a guide shoe (110, 210) supported on at least two guide surfaces (25B1, 25B3) of the rail, a measuring frame (171, 271) connected to the guide shoe, and sensor means (172, 173; 272, 273) for sensing the position of the plumb line in relation to the measuring frame. The twist of the rails is measured with the aid of a wire (300) extending between the two measuring devices and edge sensors (120, 220) arranged in connection with at least one of the two measuring devices (100, 200).
