Abstract
The present invention relates to a methanol plant and a process for the production of methanol in which a combination of a high temperature shift section and a steam superheater can produce a superheated steam stream that can be used to heat or preheat other sections or streams in the plant / process. Thus, feed preheating and steam superheating with a fuel heater can be reduced or avoided.
