Abstract

This invention concerns a plastic waste cleaning machine for 3D printing filament raw materials, specifically for small and thin plastic waste such as straws and plastic bags. This machine uses a stainless steel washing tube that rotates back and forth at a range of 20 to 60 RPM which is regulated by a potentiometer, and is equipped with a reclining angle adjustment in the range of 0 degrees to 30 degrees and a periodic input-output water system with a timer. A 250 Watt, 1 phase, 220 V electric motor drives the washing tube through a pulley and v-belt transmission. This machine has a washing capacity of 1 to 2 kg of plastic waste per cycle with a maximum tube filling of 60%. The washing time can be set between 15 to 30 minutes per cycle, with a water volume of 10 to 15 liters per cycle. The dimensions of the machine are frame length 680 mm, frame width 490 mm, frame height 640 mm, distance between drive axles 475 mm, and washing tube diameter 205 mm.The level of cleanliness of the washing results reaches more than or equal to 90% of the impurities removed, so that the plastic waste looks clean without any remaining dirt attached and is ready to be processed into 3D printing filament.
