Test fish holding device

Abstract

The article of the present design is a specimen fish holder made of a flexible material such as sponge, primarily for holding small specimen fish such as zebrafish used in tests and experiments. As shown in "Reference Figure 1 Showing the State of Use," the specimen fish can be held in the holding groove, and a test substance can be administered to the specimen fish held in the holding groove using a syringe. Furthermore, as shown in "Reference Figure 2 Showing the State of Use" and "Reference Figure 3 Showing the State of Use," the upper part of the specimen fish holding groove is provided with a discharge chute fitting portion into which the discharge chute of the specimen fish guiding device is fitted as it is pushed open. In this test fish guiding device, test fish are introduced into the funnel together with water, and the introduced test fish pass through a downwardly sloping guide pipe together with the water. After passing through the inclined guide pipe, the test fish pass through a discharge chute extending downward together with the water. After passing through the discharge chute, the test fish are discharged together with the water from the lower end opening of the discharge chute into the holding groove of the test fish holding device, and the discharged test fish are then held, for example, in the holding groove.
