Pipe Fittings

Abstract

This article is installed in a location in a pipeline laid underground where the action of a large displacement type load is expected. An example of a location where the action of a large displacement type load is expected is a location where the pipeline crosses a fault. This article includes a large diameter section with a larger pipe diameter than the pipeline, a connection section that is connected to the pipeline and has the same pipe diameter as the pipeline, and a deformation induction section that connects the large diameter section to the connection section. When the pipeline receives a large displacement type load, the deformation induction section deforms before the connection section and large diameter section to receive the displacement type load, thereby suppressing deformation of the connection section and the large diameter section.
