Abstract

This head scanner is a device that is worn on a patient's head to visualize the condition inside the patient's brain (especially the stroke area that requires emergency treatment) from the diffused microwave signals. The recesses shown in the perspective view 1 etc. are for receiving the patient's head, and a plurality of rectangular plates are arranged in this recess. These plates are antennas that send microwave signals into the patient's head and then detect the scattered microwave signals. An image is generated from the detected microwave signals.
