Abstract
This product is a test chip for measuring target components in a sample solution. When the sample solution is introduced into the inlet shown in the reference diagram, which names each component, it flows through each of the four flow sections by capillary action and reaches each retention section. Each pair of flow section and retention section holds a different reagent, allowing four different target components to be measured simultaneously through a predetermined reaction, such as a color reaction, that occurs in each retention section. As shown in the enlarged cross-sectional view of the AA section, the four cutouts are roughly V-shaped and function as flow channel walls that split the sample solution into two directions and then converge near the center line of the retention section. This configuration allows the target components in the sample solution to concentrate near the center line, facilitating measurement of the target components by, for example, observing color changes.
