Abstract

This product is a test chip for measuring target components in a sample solution. When the sample solution is introduced into the inlet shown in the reference diagram, which names each component, it flows through each of the eight flow sections by capillary action and reaches each retention section. Each pair of flow section and retention section holds a different reagent, allowing eight different target components to be measured simultaneously through a predetermined reaction, such as a color reaction, that occurs in each retention section. As shown in the enlarged cross-sectional view of the AA section, the eight cutouts are roughly V-shaped sections that function as flow channel walls, dividing the sample solution into two directions and then merging them near the center line of the retention section. This configuration allows the target components in the sample solution to be concentrated near the center line, facilitating measurement of the target components by, for example, observing color reactions.
