Water stop valve

Abstract

This product is a water stop valve used in an automatic coupling that is attached to the spout of a water faucet, as shown in the reference diagram showing its use. The product is placed in the water passage of the main body of the automatic coupling and is biased downstream by a coil spring. It seats on the valve seat of the valve seat member to close the water passage and stop the flow of water. When a hose coupling attached to the end of a hose is connected to the automatic coupling, the downstream end of the product is pushed upstream by the abutment inside the hose coupling, and the product moves away from the valve seat against the biasing force of the coil spring. This opens the water passage, allowing water to flow from the faucet to the hose.
