Abstract

The chopsticks according to the design of this application are composed of a pair of chopstick sections and a connecting section that connects these chopstick sections. The connecting section is shaped like a strip of thin plate formed into an arc and is flexible. The connecting section is connected to the chopstick sections at opposing surfaces near the base ends of the two chopstick sections. Due to the connecting section, in an unloaded state, the two chopstick sections are open towards the tip side rather than the base side, as shown in the front view. Five small protrusions are provided in series at predetermined intervals on the opposing tip sides of each chopstick section. The small protrusions on the two chopstick sections are arranged alternately so that they do not come into contact with each other when the tip sides of the two chopstick sections are brought close together to close them. In each figure, the part represented by fine dots (part C in the perspective view) represents a textured surface that has been treated with a non-slip texture.
